Just as a note here, Resuscitate is actually a pretty good rez, if you don't already have one; certainly much, much better than any of the rez inspirations(well, maybe comparable to the biggest one). Your target comes back to life with 100% HP and no disorient, and is debt-protected for a brief duration, like all the rezzes. 0 Endurance, which is a pain, but I would say that (especially so for a Kinetic) this is not that big a deal. Eat a couple of blue insps (or just a nice Transference) and they're right back in the fight. And out of combat, it's only marginally less effective than Resurrect or Mutation. It's definitely not worth your time if you're an Empath or Radiation specialist, but for the sets with no rez(especially Kinetics), if you've already got two of the Medicine powers anyway, certainly a viable option.

Edit: It also costs surprisingly little Endurance for a rez power, about half(anecdotal; I haven't actually looked at the numbers) Resurrect or Mutation's, and has a decent recharge.

You're right, I do agree that letting people go back and get badges they couldn't have gotten because that badge didn't exist when they were the proper level to get it is a good thing. The point I've been making, though, is that all the people who were around pre-I2 who don't have Isolator, missed their chance on it purely by choice. You could have a character with Isolator, and all the Halloween badges and Cold Warrior and Celebrant, etc. I do. ewokspy does. You could have, too. You chose not to, because you weren't that into badges at the time, and now that you've decided to be into badges hardcore, you regret your earlier decision.

I especially find this argument offensive coming from you, because I know that if you could have gotten the hospital bug to work and get back into Outbreak, you would have done it, or if you'd gotten enough of the Contaminated that you say show up at random in some of your missions(although the ones in missions don't seem to count for the badge; start a new toon, and count your kills, and I think you'll see that the ones in the mission don't count toward the badge), then I seriously doubt you would be pushing for Isolator to be made available to everyone.

Btw, one of the main things that irritates me about you is the fact that you're perfectly willing to cheat to get badges, and then you have the nuts to complain when you get caught cheating and have your ill-gotten loot taken away. Like when you used a bug in the Arena to get into opposite-faction badge missions, and then whined when they took away the badges.

And what I've been saying the whole time is that you did have the chance to get it on your main badge collecting hero, and you chose not to. There was nothing but you preventing you from either rerolling your main or making a new toon to be your badge toon.

And if, at some point in the nebulous future, they decide to make a badge that I can't get with Beth for whatever reason, will I be upset? Hell, yes. Actually, I'm already upset that I won't be able to get Jailbird with Beth if I switch her to CoV. But will I be able to live with it? Sure. Because I just straight up didn't have the chance to get that badge without losing others; it's not that I had the chance and didn't take it.

From comments made by red names and just from looking at the way PvP zones are set up, it's pretty obvious that it was always intended that L40+ heroes would be able to get that badge in Recluse's Victory once it was added to the game.

But you had a chance. You could have either made a new character specifically to be your badge character, or you could have rerolled your main, if that's who you wanted to be your badge character. Either way, you had the option, and if you chose not to exercise that option, well, it's too late now.

I mean, that's why I don't want them to make Isolator available after the tutorial, not because I like saying, "Nyah, nyah, I got it and you didn't," (although I'd be lying if I said there wasn't a tiny bit of that in there; I'm only human) but because I had to make a hard decision, and sacrifice a few months' worth of play time, in order to have Isolator on the character I wanted to have all the badges on. And now there's all these people complaining that they didn't have the opportunity to get it...

Badges are, ultimately, even within the framework of the game, only worth what you think they're worth(except for Accolades, because those give you powers). I thought having all the badges on that one specific character was worth deleting and rerolling, so I did it. A lot of other people decided that it wasn't worth that much to them, and now they're asking for the rules to be changed in their favor so that they can be let off the hook for their earlier decision, and that irritates me. And I heard some people saying, "I didn't know it would only be in the tutorial," but Positron said that from the get-go.

Basically, my stance is, you had your chance, you made your choice, now you get to live with it. "I didn't know" isn't a good enough excuse. I didn't know, either. So I found out. People say, "Badges aren't that big a deal, why do you care if we have it?" to which I reply, "If they aren't that important, why do you care if you don't?"

I would just like to add my vote for not letting people go back and get the Isolator badge after they leave Outbreak. Especially all the people that were around before badges were released. You know why? Because I rerolled my main when badges were introduced, specifically so I could get Isolator, and all y'all could've done the same thing. I was already in my 30's when I deleted and rerolled, but I wanted all the badges, so I did it, and I have no sympathy for anyone that could've done it but chose not to.

The people who just didn't know the badge existed before they left Outbreak, well, them I sympathize with. But only a little.

Thanks to @Exdeath II, for putting up with my requests for confirmation on Member of the Scorpion Clan/Tellus Legacy of Earth, and for helping me confirm the hero names of some of the villain badges via the info window bug. I tested up to 350, but didn't find anything past Destined One, and I'm pretty sure this is all the badges I have. I have no idea what's up with those two . badges, but they showed up as my title.

Edit: Okay, I have a theory about these now. I think they're invisible badges that you earn for completing Ganymede's and Scratch's second missions. Once you have them both, you get Beautiful/Handsome. Purely conjecture on my part, but considering their placement in the list, and the fact that Beautiful/Handsome is the only badge that's ever required you to do someone else's mission, it makes sense that they would use these invisible badges to track that.

Arch-Mage of Agony is for the Archmage accolade.

Night Widow is awarded with the Wiseguy badge. Not getting to level 30, which awards Fire Thorn Caster, but specifically the Wiseguy badge. Which also awards for getting to level 30, but there is a slight difference. Being that heroes can't get the Wiseguy badge.

I always figured he was named after the M1 Abrams Main Battle Tank. Although looking it up online, I see that those weren't introduced until '78, so that would sort of put it a little past the time of a WWII hero...

Working on Grand Lanista this morning, I fielded a team of 3 Shivan Destroyers, 2 Swift Steels, a Smasher Elite, and 2 Outcast Initiate Sluggers(had to do something with that last 200 points...), and I took Arch-Mages to pieces in seconds. In every battle where my opponent actually tried to fight me, he lost, until he recreated my team. (Except he took a third Swift Steel instead of the l33t.)

We are talking about the test server, not any of the live servers. Did you log in on Test, get all those badges, and still not get it? Because my hero did get it, and so did my villain, so it must be tied to something both sides can get. My money is still on Irradiated.

Not MiB. Just logged in Kit, who doesn't have MiB, and got the Shivan Destroyer. My guess is Irradiated or one of the exploration badges. All Consuming, perhaps? Obviously not from kills, as I don't think she's killed any Shivans at all, nor done the Meteor Strike mission. I will do some research and get back to you.

There's that, but really, the major problem is that the mission maps are all [censored] enormous. In CoH when you start out your mission maps are tiny, a couple rooms here and there. In CoV you start getting 5-level office maps and full-size purple caves with the Swiss cheese room from the get-go. This puts in way too many mobs. If there were no newspaper missions, this would kind of make sense, as there are a couple of dead XP spots in early CoH, which having bigger maps would fix. But there are newspaper missions, so if you should happen to get to level 9 and run out of missions(or 14, or 19, or whatever), you can just run a few of those and you're golden. Having both kind of screws you over for the lower-level content. At least they changed the number of missions required to get contacts from brokers from 5 to 3.

You know, people need to calm down about the badges. (I know, most people are pretty calm about them.) Badges are just a fun little thing the devs tossed in for the heck of it. Seriously, I think the mistake they made was in having there be any sort of reward for getting any of the badges(i.e., Accolades). And I say this as someone who has all the badges, on a scrapper, and will be getting all the I5 badges, on that same scrapper. (A billion healing...*weep*)

The point of badges is not to make you play longer, or make you work for them. In fact, I bet if you asked them, they would prefer if people didn't actively work at them, but rather just took them as they came naturally through gameplay. The point of badges(and the devs are certainly free to correct me if I'm wrong) is to give you a little extra reward for doing stuff you would've done anyway. Naturally, I'm sure they expected people to work for the Accolades, since those give powers, but I actually kind of wish they hadn't done Accolades.

All that said, however, I worked hard for a lot of my badges, and I've worked hard getting other people their badges. Did I ever feel that I had to work hard for them? Not in the slightest. I did it because I love to collect things, I love making sets of collectible things, and I love talking to other people who are collecting the same things. It's more than half the reason I got into comics in the first place.

Task Forces, specifically, are designed to be something for a group of people to get together and do that has a little more of an "epic" feel to it. They're the big crossover, or at least maxi-series, of CoH. (Except for Positron's TF, which is kinda boring and mostly a waste of time, and is actually infinitely easier if you solo it. Unless you're a controller.) The badge is not the point. (Well, it is for me, and apparently for you, too, but it's not supposed to be.) The badge is just a little something extra, something you can show to other people and say, "Look, I did it, I got proof."

They didn't take the fun out of badges by making the new epic badges, any more than they took the fun out of badges by putting them in in the first place. When they made the original badges, they probably(and if so, foolishly) thought that no one would bother farming any of them but the Accolade requirements, and that it would take a lot longer for anyone to get them all than it actually did. I mean, 10 million damage is a lot, and it would take probably a year of normal gameplay to get that badge. It just so happens that there is a way to exploit the game system to get that badge in a couple days, and some people figured that out. There's a way to exploit the game system to get your mez badges in a couple days, to get your mentor badges, to get your healing badges...You can exploit your way to the debt badges if you want, but normal gameplay will get you those pretty quickly anyway. The only status badges I haven't found a good way to exploit are the influence badges, and even there, there is a way to speed it up considerably. So the devs looked at this and said, "Okay, fine, if you want to exploit this stuff out, here, have some badges that will take you as long to exploit as the originals would have taken you if you hadn't exploited them." (Except the 6th healing badge, which is crazy insane and will take me probably three years to get with my scrapper. A billion healing. I hate you, whoever made that one. With every fiber of my being.)

Man, it's hard to keep track of what I was saying when I can only see five lines at a time. Anyway. I love badges just the way they are. (Except the 6th healing badge. If I find out who's responsible for that one, you better stay away from conventions and public appearances, 'cause I'm going to kick you in the jimmy if I ever meet you.) If you don't want to work at them...Don't! Just don't bother with them. If you're like me and are driven to get them whether you actually want them or not, well, you can't really complain to the devs about your personal hangups, now can you? (Unless they involve a billion healing. Grrrr.)

As for datamining the TFs for badges, all I can say is...suckers! Ahahahahahaha! I knew they wouldn't be datamining them. That's why I didn't do any of them. The only badgeless TF I ever did was Calvin Scott.

For a short period of time each day, their flux inhibitor cycles down just enough that with the proper application of my scientific genius and copious amounts of cream cheese, we can force an opening large enough for us to enter, and at long last I will have the Cruciate Gimcrack of Desirability within my grasp! And then, nothing will be able to stand in my way! Muhuhahahahaha!

Minion: Uh, yeah, boss, but, like, what if someone else gets there first? Mr. Smarty-Pants keeps bragging about how he's smarter than you, and even though that's impossible, maybe he's figured out the weakness, too. We'd have to fight him and the Galaxy Circle, and that don't sound like much fun.

Dr. Villain: You fool, that would never happen! Only I am possessed of a sufficiently advanced intellect to have detected this flaw! Hmmm, but even morons like Stupid-Pants can get lucky...Hmmm, let me do some calculations...Curses! If someone else were, through sheer dumb luck, to pierce their defenses before we made our move, the system would immediately compensate and their base would be impenetrable again until the next day! This must not be allowed to transpire!
