Here is the build I'm working on right now, its only got 750% regen in mids but I also have 40% defense to s/l/e/n, 38.5% to f/c and 27% to psi along with 37.5% recharge bonus. It's also just short of the HP cap at 3168hp but with as much defense as he has i've never had an issue. Even tanking the STF was no problem with good support. -
Well, looks like damage proc it is then. Thank you.
-
Will the Fortunata Hypnosis: Chance to Placate power grant hidden status for a guaranteed crit on the next attack?
Would i get better returns from the chance to placate proc or a mako's damage proc in havoc punch? -
I installed Net Nanny on the family pc and now it is not allowing access to the game. The updater works fine and when it gets to the loading screen it just hangs there until the program stops responding.
Running windows 7 ultimate x64 -
Well this is going to be my main villain as i have always played the hero side so I will be spending a lot of inf on this character. Also, I don't really care for SR after playing it several times hero side. I'm starting to lean towards /nrg because of the energy recovery and the status protection not being a click. Here is the build i have for the character so far. Please let me know where i could make some improvements.

I'm trying to decide which defense set to use. I know i do not want to go with /SR because it lacks the heal that these two sets have. I have researched both these sets and both would be fairly easy to softcap with some IO's late in the game and both have a nice self heal. I have a couple of questions though. Does Energy Aura's heal break hide since it requires enemies to use? Also, which one has better defense debuff resistance? I'm having trouble finding those numbers.

You might look into a ATI 5750. If your only running a single HD and a factory clocked processor you may be able to get by with one of these. What other components are in the system?
Update: ATI rates the 5750 at 86 watts under load. The 8600 GT is rated at 43 watts under load. So really it is going to depend on what else your system is running. If your only running a factory clocked dual core with a single HD and a couple sticks of ram you should be able to upgrade to a 5750 and keep your full load power draw under the 80% range of the power supply's max rating which would be safe. -
I'm using the latest drivers. 10.6 I believe it is. Windows 7 x64 ultimate and yes the pc is updated regularly. I should note that AO is turned on as well. It may be a mixture of the two things that was causing the black screen but running with FSAA turned off I am able to run everything else on at least high settings.
-
I just returned to the game after a year or so break and am using the 5770 card. Like the post above me stated I have noticed issues with the FSAA causing a black screen and forcing me to do a hard reboot. All the other eye candy had no problems running on my system and it looks great at 1080p without FSAA enabled.

I would like to join this taskforce. I can bring whatever we would need.

My attack chain is Blinding Feint => Attack Vitals (which is Ablating Strike, Vengeful Slice, Sweeping Strike). I have around 170 DPS with that chain ; however, it drops fast against foes with lethal resistances, as Achilles Heel -res is also being resisted.

nice thanks, i think i may try dual blades i didn't realize it could get its DPS up that high thats pretty solid. -
Nihilii,
Can i ask you what your attack chain looks like? I read through most of these and i may have missed it somewhere but i'm not to familiar with dual blades and i am trying to decide on a primary for my new scrapper. Also i think i read somewhere that you had around 130ish dps with this attack chain is that correct? -
From what i found when i googled you chipset it seems there is a good chance that it will not support AGP or PCI-e and would limit you to only PCI gfx card solutions but as others have stated we need to know your motherboard to know for sure what to recommend.
-
Thanks for the guide! I'm new to the RPing but i have created a new character and backstory now i just need to find some people to hang out with.

What alpha strike? That is what FS is for. As for farming it could be done but it would be way to slow. Just roll a fire/kin like everyone else for this.
