Quote:The day they smack you down for your totally awesome name/avatar is the day that CoH is truly dead to me.That's quite possible. It still continues to surprise me that I haven't gotten a smackdown for my name/avatar on the forums or in game.
Quote:Also, I freakin' miss the old smilies. The new tongue smiley looks too much like a little kid who's teasing someone. The old one looked more like a reaction to something stupid, which entertained me far more. -
Quote:Maybe:Then why the hell are my 80 different avatars over the years considered fine?
Quote:I'd forgotten this thread existed.
Oh I know that for sure. When Lighthouse was around, my threads would just magically disappear. Best part, I couldn't think of a time where I ever did anything to annoy him.
It just recently occurred to me that he probably thought I was a sockpuppet for LaserJudas. It'd be pretty sad if we were the same person, as both of our post counts are rather high. That'd be some epic sockpuppeting. -
It was **** Van **** with Jesus' face superimposed.
This was mentioned earlier in the thread, iirc.
I'm just looking at the censoring there and shaking my head. -
Pilcrow's avatar was removed because it was potentially offensive? I forgot - I liked it. And yeah, miss him. Also miss Craban.
I will say it, although people have harshly criticized CuppaJo in this thread - I miss her. While people believe she didn't do all that much moderating, I have to disagree and say she did more than people think. She let some people slide on some stuff, but at least she didn't give sexism a pass (unlike Lighthouse on at least a couple of occasions).
I haven't really been back long enough to see who else isn't around atm. -
It was a whim!
I was jonesing for superhero action. -
Quote:I don't miss that conversation. It was a fairly painful discussion for me, given the number of straight people* who were demanding that LGBT people remain completely invisible in the game and never gather among ourselves, because of the rule they just made up that "real life stuff should stay out of the game," but they really meant "real life stuff we don't approve of or like."I've been here for, well... a while now.
I miss some of the off-topic arguments that used to happen here. The rule has always been no politics, no religion, but often, back in the days of Cuppajo, they would rage for pages and pages and pages. I remember squabbling (quite fiercely) with the likes of Kalimagdalene over whether or not "GLBT Only" SGs were a good idea.
So yeah, while I've had some good exchanges with you, that was one of the worst.
I don't want to restart the discussion, but I wanted to lay that out. If you have any questions, pm's available.
* That comment's not about you, Liv. -
Quote:Not as applicable when I said it the first time, but hey:Just curious what the Scrapper community thinks about Stalkers. Don't hear much talk about it when comparing Melee archetypes (always Scrapper and Brute).
You can tell Scrappers from Stalkers easily: Scrappers get their scars from the front.
Maybe it's still that way in PVP. I have no idea. -

Kali...the middle quote in your Sig. Six String Samurai?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yep. I should send you some cookies, or maybe beer, for recognizing it!
To whom should I send it?
(anyone think that was subtle enough?)
[/ QUOTE ]
I'll take a shot at earning some cookies (or at least some forum pie).
The bottom quote has to be Spider Jerusalem. Transmetropolitan is still one of my favorite series' ever.
[/ QUOTE ]
Have some forum pie, even though I revealed them a few posts later. -

Love the sig, Alissara:

Scrappers do not view "RUN!" as an imperative. They view it as notification that they are now fighting alone.
[/ QUOTE ]
Indeed, indeed.
[/ QUOTE ]
What's fun is being the one who says run, and then soloing the spawn after everyone's died or left. -

So, I'm obligated to go out to dinner, rush back, find out the secret identity of Castle with a pic and I'm scooped. Drat.
Anyway, our ability to keep track of the Devs is woefully lacking, so, I whipped us this google spreadsheet based on forum posts and ParagonWiki (which is surprisingly lacking in info in this regard).
Take a look and help fill in any details.
[/ QUOTE ]
Would help if you turn on editing
EDIT: hmm, given then above info, perhaps then this is a bad idea.
[/ QUOTE ]
Heh. Paragon Wiki is sooo lacking in wiki drama, I'd hate to see that end. -

My vote is Josh, as in Josh Ferguson.
[/ QUOTE ]
It's Floyd Grubb.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yup, I'm a little late to the party...
But I did find a PIC.
And another one HERE.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yep, had I spent just two more minutes searching, instead of wasting time on my job, I would have hit the MOO site and zeroed in on the name. Oh well.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, had I not been sidetracked by finding Geko's secret identity I would have zero'd in on Floyd or Josh sooner.
[/ QUOTE ]
Geko's easy.
Or I'm horribly wrong. -

I still think that Ghost Widow cosplayer looked like a dude...
BTW Ex, your next mission is sneak into the offices of War Witch and Ghost Widow
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm pretty sure the GW cosplayer WAS a dude.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well that just makes Castle having an autographed picture of "him" all the more creepier
[/ QUOTE ]
Why?
[ QUOTE ]
And why on earth would a guy dress up as Ghost Widow?! That's just...not right.
[/ QUOTE ]
Why not?
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, would you dress up as Statesman or Manticore?
[/ QUOTE ]
Not Statesman, no, but I might do Manticore. -

Statesman c/o Cryptic Studios. He'll end up eating 'em anyway!
[/ QUOTE ]
Curses!
For posterity: The top one is Penny Priddy from Buckaroo Banzai (who appears in a scanner mission!) and the bottom is Spider Jerusalem from Transmetropolitan. -
