I'm really looking forward to seeing how Eddy colors it. But I really like the composition of that piece too. Wassy got into a good flow and churned that out pretty quick.

Quote:Wassy already provided the results of the August battle and indicated how that the showdown should be Shia vs. CR. The only thing left is for CR to confirm he's participating. My final suggestion for this contest:
Shia, Pyro and CR should all get in touch with each other and come up with a way to settle this between them. They should do it away from the pressure of accusations, percieved pressure, dangled money or anything else except the desire to have a legitimate, fun and classy ending to this thing. -
I'll take Shia's comments as acknowledgement and consent of the contest. If CR accepts as well, I will post the formal announcement asap.

Quote:I believe it'd be best to follow through on Wassy's original intentions. Based on her statements, I believe her declaration is for September to be a Shia vs. CR with the secret theme being.... inju *cues dramatic music/choir and a rising platform center stage with a variety of ribbons*If Bayani is willing to substitute for Wassy then my position would be I want to talk to both Shia and Pyro and know if
a) Shia is still in.
b) If Pyro wants in or is staying out.
c) If the theme of ribbons is ok with the others.
d) Would those remaining accept Bayani as substitute for Wassy. (I see no problem with it at the moment)
If you agree to it CR...and if Shia posts in this thread that he agrees to this one-on-one battle, I'll pony-up the cash prize to make it more interesting. I do want to re-iterate that there is a caveat to the cash prize...both you and Shia can't back out after agreeing to the final face-off. If either one of you withdraws after the fact, the remaining player is declared winner but the cash prize is off the table. Otherwise, the rules are the same as the past months, with votes on the CoH forums tabulated and person with the overall highest total declared winner. -
Well, I'd hate to see the contest end without a clear winner and since I do technically work for Wassy, I can assist with the final contest. There isn't much to admin a contest between two entrants.
So here's my offer...I'll put up a $50 cash prize to see the September Ribbons Battle take place between Shia and CR. The prize money will only be awarded if both Shia and Christopher Robin submit work in line with the theme. This means that if both Shia or CR agree to battle it out, but back out or fail to submit a qualifying submission by the agreed to deadline, no cash prize will be awarded and the remaining entrant will be declared undisputed 2010 FArt Competition winner. -

Heh, beat me to it. Nice Iron Man goodness there!

Actually, I edited for more clarity. Though if there was any effort put into reading even just the original post of the thread, or paid enough attention to recognize Wassy's distinct style, you wouldn't have made such a mistake.

I'm getting the feeling that Wassy will want September to be the last month so she can free up her schedule and move on to other things.
--My Votes--
1. Shia
2. CR
3. Pyro -

Tom Chu decided to continue livestreaming tonight as he works on the rest of the Bayani/Rowr team-up commission by Stephen Segovia and Bob Almond.
It starts at 9pm ET. Hope to see some of you there! -
That's pretty cool, especially since it was quick and you had to use your fingers as the brushes. Jim Lee did something like this too when he got his first iPad.

He'll answer questions and shoot the breeze. From the last livestream I watched him do, he was engaging.

Heya, folks. Looking for a break from Going Rogue?
My good friend Tom Chu will be hosting a livestream at 9PM ET on Sunday August 29, 2010. Tom is a freelance colorist whose work can be seen in Marvel and DC. During the livestream, Tom will be coloring a pin-up of Bayani and Rowr, drawn by Stephen J. Segovia (Wolverine, Witchblade, Vampirella) and inked by the chairman of the Inkwell Awards, Bob Almond. Stop by and say hello!
The link to Tom's livestream can be found on his dA Journal...

Vrykon is not taking personal characters as requests at this time. Eddy however, will consider original character requests. That being said, for both Eddy and Wassy, requests from people who add Division-401 to their dA watchlist are given higher priority than requests from people who don't have Division-401 on their dA watchlist.

Vrykon's Friday updated has been posted, but it's a bit unfinished and NSFW. If you're still interested in checking it out, you can find it at the Division-401 website.

Hm....going to check this out. Looks fun.
