Just from observation - still pop them both (hasten on auto fire) am when up - it seems to be up a lot.

Just to re-iterate. The DEVS said...
they don't consider the pvp changes a complete success but the don't consider them a complete failure either. Castle has said they want to do MORE changes to pvp but all everyone is working on Going Rogue and nothing will even be discussed until that goes live.
That being said..it cannot be unknown to them that the over all population of servers is way down. They broke pvp, then created AE and that drove up the population again and then they nerfed AE over and over again to the point the buildings sit empty. Now I hear the DEVS wonder what happened to test arena pvp?? I am guessing they thought people would fill the void after the mass exodus. -
The simple fact that the devs are wondering what happened to test arena after I13..despite the thousands of posts (that were not rants) the 100's of hours of effort by people Like Putz and Az to bring our issues to them..only to have then ruin it.....the fact they broke it and are now going ...huh what ever happened to pvp???
leads me to believe they clueless..no infact it removes all doubt. Maybe they missed it when 5 mins after granting access to I13 beta most of the test pvp sg's quit the game...
or maybe they are just puzzled why no one has filled the void.....then they can go see point #1. -
they need a better inherant for defenders other than Vig. Scourge makes corrs sick...they should give defs thermal first of all maybe poison..and change their inherant to be an end drain at <50% health on a target similar to scourge being unreisisted dmg

And FYI being an emp in pvp doesnt make you a pvper your nothing but a heal and run toon..... lol

if you want a toon that is viable solo, team and arena I would try a rad blast pain dom or sonic pain dom corr.

god I remember the days of freedom....I forget his name but he played a stalker who would drone himself and stay there whenever az came in the zone with blade on emp...to protest blaster emp combo OP'ed ness...lol

They have openly said nothing will be done to pvp until after GR goes live. All development resources going to that. So that pretty much tells me GR will not change pvp other than to add the side switching and you can't do that unless you do the pve content in GR (oh and buy the game..).

you can be viable in squid form like a floating pb in squid if you slot your two primary blasts for range and dmg - the three sheilds grant pretty high dmg res, you get a stealth and perception and such. You can build it as a flying sniper and then make your human form for res and the phase. You can slot kb res all over the place in your sheilds, movement powers etc...

if you want to play as a team buffer you want max heal % and range on those heals. Power boost will not be up all the time - regeneration is not so much an issue. A good team player will know to run to the pain dom or therm or emp..but more often than not you're chasing a target to heal.

it can be hard , if a lot blasters show up and little support you end up with a few toons getting farmed no matter how good they are at evading. Anything more than 2-3 dmg dealers on a team and spikes become a lil hard to overcome.

even if we do get a active sg arena thing going on I would suggest a push to test, if only for the infinite respecs and the ability to dupe ios so you can add a layer of skill for builds - although duping is a pain it allows everyone access to purples and pvpios if at least one person in the sg has them.

that build is okay but dual phase is useless if you can't see a target. Personally i think you need assault and tactics...

oh ps u can slot an qf end/rn spd or springy end/jmp in sprint if you want to - sprint is an end hog - oh and I am a doofus - slot the three runs or jumps with the stealth set (forgot the stealth io set)...

since you posted in pvp forum I will assume for pvp - try this one - you want to powerboost comsmic burst to increase the stun, better dmg % and better kb res.

uh no you can turn off travel supression, heal decay and diminishing returns.... 3 things - problem with that is DR puts most toons at res cap with their epic sheild - (75% for most) a number never reachable in arena in i12 - so DR remains on ..but that messes up global recharge and io bonus stacking..with HD and TS off you can get kinda close to i12 pvp...but not really.

(1) Is PFF useful in PVP? It's my tier one, so no real choice, but question of slotting.
slot it with karma kb proc and 3 sheild walls - not the no touchy of old days but still useful
(2) Does dispersion bubble provide adequete mez/kb protection for pvp ( I play on Freedom)?
as stated there is no protection on shortened duration on mez
(3) What slotting for Levitate and Force Bolt is recommended IO-wise?
two roads here - if you kb a target they cannot be kb'ed for a short time so slot force bolt for kb and lev for dmg...
(4) Is the detention bubble useful in PvP? Does it actually work on anyone?
in a team not really
(5) Does Terrify have a use and how would you slot it?
fears still work just not as long.
(6) Epic choice recommendations?

(7) For shields, in PvP, do they help teammates enough to matter. I would get them for a Pve build, but for the PvP build, if they don't help, I may skip as I hear defense isn't too useful in PvP. If you and I were on the same team, would you be expecting me to bubble you in otherwords.
end drain is a killer in pvp so the end drain prot bubbler is very nice - both make it easy to slot for kb protection and not hard to fit in a build.
(8) Finally, any slotting recommendations for TK.
3 end rdx on an end heavy build or 2 end rdx + 1 range if you can spare the slot or just 2 end rdx. -
I fought a ss fire brute in arena on my spines sr. When I started kiting with impale he quit out and said "you don't know much about pvp do you?" He went on to tell me that real pvpers don't use sj or ss, inspirations etc or move....
I said "you want me to just stand there and attack you, not use insirations or any of my travel powers?..is there any other rule I should know about that guarantees you win?"
So I got my ff/sonic def and said "okay ready!" lol No acro on a fire brute.
