Quote:Ah, if I had the time.... best of luck with it though.I know most of us more into PvP types moved to Freedom with the free transfers for the Freedom PvP League that went on there but a new Ladder is starting up on the test server so if any one has any wants to PvP in a team environment then start a team and post the roster in the PvP Arena Forum Threads or sign up as a free agent Here
So far about 6 teams have voiced interest so I should be a good time. CHeck the PvP Arena Forum Threads for rules etc.
Is it on Test for the duping IOs still? -
Quote:*purrs* Well, I know how important it was to get my 10 pts of damage in off my obsolete fire blaster. I'm sure it was extremely helpful.
Az making like 2 matches and locking like its her job, making everyone else look retarded
And yeah, Filipino going off was definitely something no one will forget. lol
I enjoyed the dUmb (was it?) match on the lab map with the storms and MMs and our brute got the only kill in. Was an exciting one to watch. -
I always thought the definition of evil was owning a monkey and shrinking all your friends down to the size of a child?

Congrats on Year 6! I'm sure I'll show up for something!

Quote:If you get enough people (with enough focus), the zones can be fun. I always found the best turn out was in Siren's. Between the bounties and the helping the NPCs in the hotspots, there's enough to keep it interesting but not enough at stake to get people's panties in a bunch.not really, to get a good, fun experience, there needs to be a minimum of 10 people (8 for kb will do but 5v5 is better) you could easily have 7-8 people trying to kill AVs while the other 2 try and grief them, so to speak, and kill them. so basically team of 8 vs 2 and AVs. and an, albeit small, chance for purple drop.
The whole nuke thing in WB can get totally frustrating for some people when they get their codes stolen and everyone just ends up slugging it out on the beach anyway. RV can be decent with pillboxes, but with the AVs, people always end up crying because they want the badge and don't want the opposing side interfering with them getting it.
Just my thoughts. -
Aww I miss cakes that tell us when there's a special day! Happy birthday B! And Parthenon too!

Nice! I must admit, I always feel like I'm around family when I see a FF uniform nearby. Glad to see you're still going strong!

Quote:I think that was their original intent with RV, but it happens very rarely (in my experience). A lot of people go in and then get demolished by the regulars in there and get discouraged. Glad you had a good time.
In what took over an hour and a half, was one the best experiences I have ever had since I first started playing. A 6-8 person (with legitmately only 2 of our teammates where PvPer or had a good PvP build) go into RV and take out the Freedom Phalanx. Bothered by hero players, having to reclaim Pillboxes from each other, getting the badges, and then doing some actual PvPing afterwards, WHAT A BLAST... and what great, yet unorthodox team. -

I think Triumph still has its mainstays. I only moved a few PvP toons over to Freedom and still spend the majority of my time on Triumph. WB YWD.

Someone went to PAX and reported:
We were just at the City of Heroes: Re-inventing a Superheroic MMO panel where Paragon Studios announced two new powersets in addition to the Dual Pistols and Demon Summoning sets that will be included in Going Rogue. Also announced was the hotly anticipated endgame system that Matt "Positron" Miller has been working on.
The system will be called be Incarnate system (many CoH players should be familiar with this) and it will consist of new content and special Incarnate levels that confer new abilities to your character. Rewards commensurate with the difficulty of the Incarnate content will also be part of the system. Going Rogue will include a single Incarnate level, with the level cap of 10 to be introduced in Issue 19 later this year.
For Scrappers, Tanks, Brutes, and Stalkers a new powerset called Kinetic Melee was announced. To give you a general iea think of what telekinetic melee combat would look like. The set is very visual and utilizes a ton of knockback and down effects. You'll have greater range than most melee power sets when using it. A video was also shown at the panel, though Paragon Studios will not be distributing it. Fortunately, we managed to grab some shakycam of the clip, look for that later today.
Next up is Electric Control for both controllers and dominators. Not much was said on this set, but you can probably imagine how it will work out given the existing powers in the game. Electric imps were seen (gremlins).
We'll have slides and videos coming in soon so check back often! -
Quote:How about some information about the arc?Posted this in the MA section-thought I'd post it here since I'm a long time Triumph person. Just put up this latest story arc; if you have time and want what I think is a good arc (biased, yes) would people try it out-please tell me anything wrong with it or not fun (including little things like spelling or grammar errors). Thanks all and have fun!

Before we were able to buy extra slots:
I deleted an ice/ice dom named Zorayas at lvl 31.
Deleted a WS at 22. -
I transferred most of my PvP geared toons to Freedom (although according to the PvPers there, they aren't really viable any longer >
) I still have an ice/dev so I'll be happy to come out and piss everyone off by webnading them to death.

I got a plant dom from level 11 to 12. I got a pain corr from 40 to almost 42.
I didn't go on too much this weekend. After getting 20 toons to 50 and being on the game for nearly 5 years, double xp no longer excites me. By the look of the server status, it seems I'm not alone in feeling that way. I remember when the servers were all at their max for double xp and Freedom and Virtue people were crying they couldn't get in. -
