As announced, we have managed to fix the build that was initially implemented onto the live servers on Tuesday, August 4th.

Starting at 6:00 AM Pacific Time (8:00 AM Eastern Time) on Thursday 8/06 all live North American servers for City of Heroes will be brought down for maintenance and publish.

We expect the downtime to last 2 hours but please allow for early release or an extension as necessary.

Further to the live build that went live this morning, a problem was discovered that caused serious server stability issues.

As a consequence, we have rolledall North American & European servers back to the previous build which we know to be stable.

The maintenance will start at 4:55PM Pacific Time (7:55PM Eastern Time / 12:55AM British Time / 1:55 Central European Time) and we expect it to last about 2 hours. The servers may however become available again before that.

We apologize for the inconvenience and will let you know when we are able to go live with an updated version of that build.

The North American Training Room has been taken offline for an emergency maintenance.

We will be updating this thread once it is back up and running.

Wow the tension is palpable. I'm sorry if some think we were partying all weekend, this is certainly a lie. We are all on our knees trying to make sure we don't pass out today.

As announced previously, you will not be able to change your forum handle on the vBulletin. However we will be able to deal with forum handle conflicts. But again, before we are able to tell you more about that, we need to make sure that the vBulletin forums are working all right. Just know that we are aware that this will happen and that we have a plan to address that issue.

I understand that it is probably a stressful time for a lot of you. Not only is your usual forum environment going to change drastically, but the English-speaking community is going to increase manifolds.

At this point there probably isn't much I can say and am able to say to alleviate your concerns but I'm pretty sure you'll find your new forums a lot friendlier and comfortable than these ones.

A network maintenance will take place on Tuesday 28th July 2009 and as a result the connection to the game may falter for about 15 minutes between 8AM and 9AM British Summer Time (9:00 and 10:00 Central European Summer Time).

Between <font color=red>3PM and 5PM British Summer Time (16:00 and 18:00 Central European Summer Time), on July 28th[/color], the current UBB Message Boards will be taken offline in order to transfer the data over to the vBulletin Message Boards. This means that the UBB Message Boards will NOT be accessible during that time. The work that needs to be done on the new boards is expected to take <font color=red>approximately 72 hours[/color].

We will be giving you updates on this migration throughout the process so be sure to check out the CoH_OCR twitter page regularly!

As for your handles, we will be giving you more information on name conflicts and what to do to change yours after we have made sure that everything is functioning properly on the new vBulletin Message Boards. We appreciate that this is a serious concern, but rest assured we are aware of the situation and will endeavor to minimize any impact this will have.

But just like the Freakshow, Harlequin and PPD costume codes, this year's codes will only be available through events or contests.

Bear in mind that we have several teams working on different things. Those in charge of creating the content for Power customisation are not necessarily in charge of fixing certain types of bugs. That is just an example.

Some may notice I have removed a portion of this thread to quell some of the aggressiveness that was displayed earlier on in the discussion. Unfortunately a couple of valid posts were removed too but they are still accessible to us, even though I can't add them back into this thread.
