Its not the only reason, but I have to admit its my main reason... I also dont like Elec/Therms that play that set because they know they can drain most of the people in game. I was thinking of something to give them a run for their money.

What would u suggest to fight a elec/therm?

I made a Spines/Elec scrapper ... The reason I want an elec is because I truely hate being TP'ed into drones. I have a question...Is the TP protection from elec enough to stop Gravity Controls Wormhole?

It's that bad?....hehe :P I had to ask.

I have seen many people try to use DB in PvP and fail. I am not the type of person that likes to play FoTM and I want to see if I can make DB work in PvP. Does anyone have any ideas or done anything to make this set doable in PvP? My Secondary is Elec. I am also a big fan of zone PvP; however if fight clubbin is the only way I can use this set then that is what I will do. I also dont mind arena 1 vs 1 - 8 vs 8 fights.

I am one of the people that would like to change the name of the server. First hear me out before you chase me down with torches and pitch forks. I am a 60 month vet and 90% of my characters are located on this server and I have noticed the decrease in players on this server. I am not against going pantless on this server. It does show a sense of humor and how comfortable we are with each other on this server. My thing is that people know what they like to do in game and to some going pantless isn’t it. Listed below is what I found on City of Heroes Wiki:

East Coast Servers
The six east coast servers are physically located in Virginia.

Freedom
Freedom is typically the most populated US server. It is known to be a favorite server among French-American and French-Canadian players. Historically, this server was originally named Prime during the beta-test but was renamed upon release. Freedom is considered by many in the community to be the unofficial PvP server, and has very high levels of zone and arena PVP activity.

Infinity
Infinity typically has a moderate level of activity in comparison to the other US servers. Also considered to have the third largest server population and is the "unofficial arena pvp server."

Liberty
Liberty is referred to by many in the community as an "unofficial friendly server", along with Triumph.

Pinnacle
Historically, Pinnacle was often perceived to be the last server to come back up after updates, which lead its players to jokingly refer to it as "the drunk server". However, this no longer seems to be an issue.

Triumph
Like Liberty, Triumph has a reputation in the community as "unofficial friendly server". Triumph is typically one of the least populated US servers.

Victory
Victory has as a reputation in the community as "the unofficial Euro server" and "the unofficial GLBT server" because of perceptions that this server has the largest concentration of these two groups. It is also the server where the original beta-testers of City of Heroes were able to reserve their character names from the beta.

West Coast Servers
The five west coast servers are physically located in California. The training server is located in California as well.

Champion
Referred to by many as the "community server" for its friendly atmosphere and active forums.

Guardian
Historically, Guardian suffered from frequent and allegedly unaddressed downtime that led some in the community to start referring to it as the "red-headed step-child server". However, this no longer seems to be an issue.

Justice
During the beta-testing period, Australians coordinated to make this server the "unofficial Australian / New Zealand server." Consequently, Justice commonly sees more players active through until maintenance, as the timezones for New Zealand (UTC+12) and Australia (UTC+10) mean that the maintenance window happens locally around 11:30pm (Sydney time). As such it attracts Australian players for the last 5 hours of activity (6pm-11pm AEST). Because standard maintenance windows are announced by Admin message and a different message is broadcast for Issue and special event releases, Australian players are often the first to experience them.

Protector
Though teams and supergroups are not difficult to find on Protector, it is believed by some to have a higher population of solo players than most servers, making it a fairly solo-friendly server. In 2005, many Protector players got together and adopted a server mascot, a puma by the name of Cimarron, by donating money (with one member even donating $600) to the Cat Tales Zoological Park in Mead, WA.

Virtue
Virtue has typically been the second most populated US server since the launch of City of Villains. This server has a reputation as the "unofficial role-playing server." As an example of this, some of the players on the Virtue server have set up a wiki to record player-driven continuity to the server, entitled The Unofficial Handbook to the Virtue Universe.


The 2 servers considered “The Friendly Servers” are the 2 smallest servers in game. We need a new focus on this server. These are some ideas that might appeal to new players:
Triumph-
1. The Pantless PUG Server
2. The Trouser Free Task Force Server
3. The Speedo Strike Force Server
4. The Birthday Suit Battle Server (PvP)

We can still be pantless and have another agenda.

First off I have to say that the Ninja Run is the best Booster Pack so far and looking forward to the next ones to be released. I was thinking of what would be cool to see next come out. I think a Beast Booster Pack would be awesome. Just picture running on all fours and having a beast stance when still. Then add new beast heads like Bird, Bull, Horse, Shark, Gorilla, Baboon, Snake, Ant, Bee, Spider, etc... Then they should make new claws animation for open hands with claws that look like bird talons, werewolf claws, webbed hands with claws, insect hands with claws, etc...

Someone asked me for direction how to get some where in the game and I was able to give exact direction where to go and what to look for when they got there. Later that day my RL friend asked me how to get to a store in my town and I couldnt explain how to get there. Is it bad that I know the roads in CoH better than my own town?

I am new to the RP and still have trouble finding a RP SG that I am interested in. I found myself building a MA/WP scrapper and he is inspired by kryptonian's; however not a clone of the famous Superman. Is there a SG that is based on this?

If not it would be good idea to make one for Going Rogue. An all Melee SG with Invul or WP armor and all Super Strength or Martial Arts. Scrappers and tankers can get laser beam eye and brutes can get arctic breath.

I heard this server has some PvP and it gave me some questions to ask...

1. Is it true?
2. Is PvP always going on or is it just at random times?
3. Is does PvP go on in one zone or is it spread out to other zones?
4. Is it the same people over and over again?

Once going Rogue comes out the Duel Pistols would be awesome for this...

It was nice to have an hour long match with just pure PvP and no interuptions from zone PvP.

I know this is considered the "Role Playing" server and on my server they are coming up with a Theme PvP idea that could get the interest of people on this server. This is a pretty demanding concept and only a limited powers will be accepted. This is the link of the thread on my server ( http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=192458 ). Maybe this server can do something like this or you could make a character on my server.

I have a Mercs/Traps and I think it would be to OP for us to have all our pets out and I do think we should be limited to one tier of Pet(s). On Bots I would use my Tier 2 pets (Protector Bots) because they give FF buffs and heal each other, on my Mercs I would use my Tier 3 (Commando)and buff him with Serum and on a Ninja I would use Tier 2 since they have stealth. I dont have a Thugs, but I would think the tier 2 pets would be good since they give leadership.

I would turn my second arachnos build into something I could use. In the bane set I get 4 range powers in my primary, 2 pets, debuff, and a Immob in my secondary. Since I dont need a travel power I can get Aidself and since I dont need Phase shift I can get Tough and Weave because patron powers are not allowed.

Before they removed the base raids I made a room that looks like a MMA ring and I wanted to have Fight Club with other SG/VG's in my base and call it Super Brawl Sunday. I have been waiting for a very long time for it to come back and nothing has been mentioned. Am I the only one who really wants base raids to come back?

And this is why the devs will NEVER offer this service. They don't want people doing it. It defeats the purpose of making the fee for a transfer just high enough to discourage all but the most determined customers.

Well they need to do something because some servers are getting so small and people are leaving the game because they dont want to pay $10 for each character to transfer to another server; however a bulk transfer purchase might change some minds.

I got bored on my server because of lack of PvP and I transferred to freedom for PvP only. I was in the zone on my stalker and a blaster challenged me to a in zone duel and I beat him and he said I cheated because I used Insp. So since I am new to the server I assumed that was the fight club rule and didn’t use insp for my next duel. Well after that next duel I lost to a scrapper but I still got called a cheater because I used Hibernate. So at this point I am a little confused, but I decided to give it one more try and I ask my next opponent what are the rules he told me that I am not allowed to use Placate and Hide. This is when I drew the line and just killed him. I was wondering what are the Fight Club Rules?

As for the idea of not having a rankings tournament I disagree. Even pre-season football sill keeps records. However, maybe season 1 should be alittle longer than other seasons to help people get in more practice.

If I were to think of how to improve the event I would suggest we try to find a balance between vets practicing and new people practicing. Even in my own SG it was very hard for us to find a balance between testing combos out yet incorporating everyone. I felt like we left some people out to dry. Vetran PvPers need to at least take one or two rounds by calling out in broadcast that they're forming a team and people without a team or new to pvp are welcomed instead of 3 vets always forming. A PuG pvp team needs a vet on the team to show the new people how targeting works, also give a team a fighting chance so people dont get too discouraged.

The number one problem is finding a balance between vet teams getting in their complete full practice yet taking a round or two of showing a new person the ropes.
