  1. I've been inspred by my teammate Pep Rally to trade art with all the talented people right here! There are many many styles of drawing, and I'm eager to see different interpentations of Atomic Knight.

It's quite simple, give me some screenshots in good light. A basic bio, so I can get the "flavor" of your hero. and links to anything else you think might help. I'll even sketch from your layouts (that sounds kinda fun actually...and quicker too...lol).

I get busy, so be patient.

To help ya out heres The Tech of Atomic Knight to start you out.

I look so forward to see peoples hand at ol' AK!

p.s. Here's a different concept of Atomic Knight that i really went techno on to see what I can do... Might have gone way too far i think...lol

and some will never draw(/insert artform here) awesomely no matter how hard they practise.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Totally disagree. This kind of thinking is what cripples a lot of my 3d students. I'm not sure where in society it comes from, but I'd like to start a one-man mission to stamp it out!

You can do ANYTHING you want. All you have to do is practice and be willing to learn.

    EVERYONE CAN LEARN TO DRAW!!

I honestly seriously believe that. And I've taught people how to draw before (and model in 3d and paint textures and animate) so I have a real reason to believe it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

My teacher at Disney Animation told me something I always rememberd and passed along to my students:

"Everyone has 1000 bad drawings in them they have to get out, before they can get that first good drawing."

Practice practice practice. Draw anything and everything. quick sketch people walking by. No need to complete it. draw doorknobs, plants, crumpled trash rolling by. full up a sketch book with anything of any quality, then start a new one...

Draw draw draw. Anyone can do anything. You may not be able to draw like me, but I may never be able to draw like you as well! You can only draw like the better you eventually.

    Plug away people!

    It is not forced grouping.

I know there are several solo SGs out there.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Yes, but do you really think that solo SG will get enough prestige to finance a base???

    [/ QUOTE ]
    Eventually, yes.

    [ QUOTE ]
What I'm worried/confused about is, does each member accumulate his own prestige or is it just one big "pool" for the entire SG? Meaning could someone concievably start with a full SG, build up beaucoup prestige, boot everyone but him and then erect himself a ultra cool uber base?

    [/ QUOTE ]
Doesn't matter. In either situation, a Supergroup leader could boot everyone from the Supergroup once the base was built.

Since only one person (the Architect) can actually build the base, the Prestige will eventually have to be pooled anyway. So I hope that they save a step and have Prestige go right into a singel Supergroup pool so that everyone can keep track of it as it's earned.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Except for one thing...

I think it's been mentioned that you rent the bases, not buy them.

If a SG earns a base, and the leader kicks everyone, where is he gonna come up with next months "rent" for the whole SG?

    PEREGRINE ISLAND

Curry Cove - not a clue.

Mera Heights - Ah, and finally the Googling pays off. Arthur CURRY (see Curry Cove, above) is the real name of DC comics's Aquaman. His wife was named MERA.

Tempest Quay - a tempest is stormy weather typically associated with sea travel.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Something else about Tempest Quay:
In relation to Aquaman, as seen above...Tempest was also the name the young adult Aqualad chose to use durring his later Teen Titan stint. Statesman seems fond of the Titans. George Perez (Perez Park) designed the new costume he used, as well...

    Changes to Rage

    [ QUOTE ]
You wouldn't want that. Toggle powers (like *many* defenses) have a recharge, too.

If they get knocked off for whatever reason when rage has just run out, it can take ages to get them back up....

    [/ QUOTE ]

Exactly! There is your Rage penalty. The Tanker isn't automatically dropped to the defense of a baby, and now he has to be VERY carefull, Till my proposed Rage induced penalty of a very slow recharge of all powers, wears off...

    Imagine:

The Thing battles tons of Doombots, to protect the rest of the fantastic four. He needs to get that special "omph" to beat them all...he enters "Rage" mode...and starts ta wipe up the place with those yahoos! He saves the Team and now starts to falter, having done his job and now tired from that heroic stand...and the rest of the team joins in to get him out...

    Comic book simplicity and excitement!
  6. My mom promised me a pony...i'm still mad at her.

well, she did say she'd "consider it"...

    Curses! Foiled by grammer again!

    Changes to Rage

    Heres an idea:

when Rage wears off, instead of endurance dropping to zero (thereby losing all toggled defenses, the heart of the tanker), You instead have incredibly sllloooowww recharge time on all powers.

This would simulate how tired the hero now is! Perhaps a minute or more. And the hero will need to be placed on the untimate defensive position untill then..."catching his breath", so to speak.

And, to prevent further perma-unstoppable tankers (that was never the intention of those powers), when Rage wears off, unstoppable turns off, suffer the penalties of that power, and the very slow recharge takes place...no more perma!

I always though Rage and Unstoppable were like the comic book equivilent of that heroes last ditch effort, the all or nothing gambit against the foe on the last page fight. This might make these powers, and the tanker Heroic again...
