With the holiday gift of free server transfers it is only fitting that someone should explain the finer points of Champion Drama to those who decide to spend their newfound tokens to visit our fair server.
Introduction
Champion has been known as the Community Server almost as long as it has been known as the Drama Server. the connection of these two things is by no means a coincidence. With every community there will arise factions who vie for the attention of the silent masses. When there is a lull upon the forums or in the Global Channels, there will arise the beast born out of community, Drama.
"Champion, where drama doesn't come out of a can. We make it from scratch." - Peterbilt
Types of Drama
It may seem on the surface that all Drama is created equal, but after a few months in the clutches of Champion one can spot the various breeds and flavors of our favorite past time.
No U Drama
This is the most common form of Drama. Anyone who has ever experienced the phenomenon known as 'sisters' or 'brothers' can describe it with incredible accuracy. For those single children in the audience, No U Drama consists of using the exact same argument to refute the argument that refuted your argument that you argued about. The non-drama alternative for this subtype was known as the 'Quote Pyramid' which was summarily

Wat Drama
Wat Drama is drama caused by the overreaction of the people to an unintelligible post, often using CAPSLOCK, excess exclamation points, various typos, and lack of standard punctuation practices. This type of drama is normally perpetuated by a single individual and runs in a predictable cycle of Post, receive reaction, start a new thread with the same subject, return to original thread to respond to original reaction. The thread is normally allowed to die after a set amount of time and/or modlocking but the original poster has a high probability of returning and repeating the pattern. The non-drama alternative to this is the smilee-face post, which is a single line offering your support of a post and it's poster.
Trollfire Drama
Trollfire Drama normally begins with a community leader starting a thread to organize or inform the server about an event. After a few pages, a response will be posted that will contribute nothing to the event but will be critical of many or all parts of the planning and demand change/removal/boycotting. This post will spawn a mass of
righteous defenders, turning the thread's original purpose on a roller coaster ride of No U. The non-drama form of this is the Cake vs. Pie, in which a nonsensical argument overtakes a drama argument.
Wambulance Drama
Wambulance Drama is characterized by beginning a thread with the forum equivalent of
Mom, He's Touching Me. Also known in some circles as
Severe Butthurt, Wambulance Drama can be created from the slightest offense but usually is exaggerated or carefully edited to seem much more
Epic then it was. This type of drama is a main source of No U, where supporters and detractors of the Butthurt come out in force to support or condemn those who have been Butthurt. The Non-drama form of this post is the Drama Lure, where a Wambulance style thread title is used to get Wambulance chasers into the thread, only to find something
silly or
Irrelevant.
Srs Pvp
Any pvp thread on Champion has a 96.39%(After ED, not softcapped) chance to proc Drama. It is an excuse to: A. Complain about the lack of pvp on Champion, B. point out the mistakes in the build/AT of other players, C. Issue personal challenges, or upon refusal, brag about the refusal of the personal challenge, D. Assert that pvp is not dead and to join [insert name]'s pvp sg/vg. There are some who attempt to post helpful, courteous posts to offset the pvp drama but have only met with limited success.
Premium quality drama
Premium quality drama can only be cultivated in an environment requiring several key factors. These include but are not limited to:
*people taking themselves too seriously
*people who received insufficient quantities of Hug as children and as such require online validation
*people with too much free time on their hands
*large quantities of the sweetest nerd rage tears
*an audience willing to validate an idiot by responding to them
*srs bsns
*iNtErNeT eGoZ

Drama and You!!
You, as the new Championite, have a choice in your response to Drama! You alone are responsible for your support, condemnation, or abject apathy toward all things Drama on this server. It must be noted, however, that once you choose a side it will take much work and copious amounts of pie to persuade the Champion of a change of heart. I would heartily recommend that you study the native beast called Drama, learning it's habits and practices before uttering your first 'LoL' or pressing that quote button.
Popcorn
Popcorn is the
Nerf Shotgun of Anti-Drama warfare. It produces no benefit or injury but lets everyone know that you are thoroughly enjoying yourself as a spectator of the Drama surrounding you.
Popcorn should be used sparingly except in cases of extreme Drama, in which case popcorn may be used as a
flotation device or distributed via a certified
Popcorn Vendor.
Why should I Care?
Why? Because, despite our propensity toward Drama, Champion is a very friendly place. It is not only possible to receive friendly advice, help and influence from opposing drama factions but almost guaranteed if you pay close attention to the forums, the BMT, the Champions United, and the other community tools offered. Basically, don't alienate yourself because of Drama. It is my theory that without Drama, Champion would be so cloyingly sweet that we would all develop the internet version of
diabetus and force Paragon Studios to place Insulin dispensers in every zone's hospital. Drama is our finely tuned release valve that protects us from knowing how
nice we really are.
