Saint's trying to get the game reinstalled for tonight, hopefully he'll get it working.

Well, Saint got really, really angry with the announcement and totally uninstalled everything NCSoft that day... soooo, he'll be there in spirit only. I was angry too, but decided to wait to uninstall, just in case. It's not like I need the room on my harddrive or anything.

Wow, haven't looked at this forum in weeks, glad I did today or I would've missed this.
Doc, you became one of my closest in-game friends over the year we played together. I had a whole lotta fun blaming Doc for my screwups, the good natured bantering and mostly the fun. We've got you friended on FB, so we can keep up. Take care, keep in touch, and hopefully we can join up in some other game.

Just to let you know, we won't be there. As much as it pains me, I can't bring myself to login again. My heart hurts. I will miss you all, so will Saint, even if he doesn't show it.

I have no issue with anything you're saying except for one thing: I'm not quitting. They are closing the game down, so they are "quitting me". I've signed the petitions and sent extra notices to NCSoft about my feelings on this matter.
It boils down to the fact that I just don't have the heart to login and see everthing we've - the heroes and villains - built knowing WHEN it's going away. I could see this coming several years ago, even took a hiatus, but after the seeming success of Freedom and all the good things happening, this has blindsided me. I was VIP through all of Freedom. If they reverse this, I'll be back. Given the super secret way this came about, I doubt that it will. So I'm moving on in the only way I know how too. -
Due to today's absolutely, out-of-nowhere, beyond stunning announcement, Saint and I have decided to end our run with City. No long good-byes, no last hurrahs. We met on this game seven years ago and have now been married over five. City will always have a special place in our hearts and memories.
We want to thank everyone on Infinity that we've teamed with this past year for you are truly what made this server our home. To our Tuesday night group led by Gate-keeper, you guys and gals were family. Also, thanks to IronBlade for leading so many Saturday's TF and other stuff. Thanks to Ellscry and Sunny for so many Mo iTrial runs these past few months. There are so many more of you that made City a unique MMO that will not be duplicated.
Feel free to PM me if you want to keep in touch and maybe find another City to roam and beat up bad guys.

Thanks for everything and all of your hard work Paragon, I have truly enjoyed my time over the last 8 years in the City... but I have had an absolute blast this last year with the new content and things you were giving us. I am in shock over this announcement. It is akin to a death in the family.
Zwillinger, you have been an outstanding community manager. Thanks to you and your team for all you've done to put up with us. This community can be hard to live with at times, but it's all for the love of this great game, on our part and yours.
Kudos to the devs and a big THANK YOU for giving us a home away from home, where the sky was always the limit. I am greatful to you all.
