Hey,
I'm just curious to know if the game will go 3d any time soon. I did a search amongst the forums and didnt come up with anything, or perhaps I am just in the wrong place.
I am liking some games, NWN2, DDO but Champions and STO not so much. In the first two if you ramp up the slider its like watching the Starwars battle chess game, only way clearer.
Sometimes it feels like the game is already in 3d, I think it would only add to it? -
so i can just beat on stuff to get them to drop tips?

Ok I have a question about "normal missions".
My 35 scrapper is vigilante cruising the isles. I did paper missions all the way up to mayhem, got the bonus, and was introduced to the new contact. I did the the mission for that and turned it in, got a tip, and did that, but after that no tips, and no missions from contacts! Does that mean I can only go do paper missions up to get an introduction to get normal missions?
I know I can join other morality missions and they will count, just wondering why I cant get any normal missions to get tips. In the guide it does not list normal missions from contacts!
Thanks -
Well I have to agree with all that was said before, and just want to add how saddend I am by all of this. Really. This game will be rememberd for the charm and fun that it once had. I swear, I left this game for a while and when I came back pre-14, I was constantly saying out loud "Why did I ever leave this game?" I love not only the graphics and physics, (where else can you have strafe lines go whizzing by your head and bodies and furniture too and NOT be in a FPS). Who has better jokes, commaradie in pugs, and just plain the most flat out casual fun ever? NO WHERE! Trust me, I spent almost a year trying different games and spent most of the time soloing and not playing an "mmo". Even with guildies.
I come back very happy to see issue 14 and delve right into building my masterpiece. When I awoke from the dream I find I am in the land of FARM. Fine, but SG's planting guys inside just for prestige? Everything that has been said above is true. I am just really, really sorry to see this happen.
It's unfortunate that so many people will never see the cool zones that this game has (flying in formation down the mouth of a worm!) Or have any of the joy of the long standing relations that this game has to offer so FREELY. If I wanted to work that hard to enjoy myself I would just stay at work! But I rant, and mumble now... I'll just go...quietly. -
Here you go!
--taunt1.txt--
numpad2 "local Get over here!$$powexec_name Taunt$$bind_load_file d:\keybinds\taunt2.txt"
--taunt2.txt--
numpad2 "local You're next.$$powexec_name Taunt$$bind_load_file d:\keybinds\taunt1.txt"
Thanks! -
Merry Christmas all!
Finished wrapping the kids toys and folks are off to bed, dropping this line in the hopes that Santa will drop me bind!
I have a tank that has taunt, so I thought I would try example taunt bind verbatum with the exception (s) of where my game is installed, exchanging c for d drive. And I only did two of the texts instead of the five.
I got the following "error":
Usage:
bind_load takes 0 args, you gave 2.
reads a list of keybinds from <INSTALL DIR>/keybinds.txt
English please?
It sounds like they want those lines inside the keybinds file, can you put a file inside a file like that in text form? I know nothing of this,
I have my taunt.txt files neatly in a folder called cohbinds directly on my d drive, right next to my keybinds folder.
Any soap?
thanks again and Happy Holidays! -
See that! Such a simple thing! I will give that a shot.
I don't want to bore my friends with the same quips over and over, so I really wanted to rotate them.
But!
I can just stick it on the drive and the client will find it eh?
Thanks a million! -
ok I am an admitted dummy. Im just not getting this.
I dont have a bind folder, just a keybind text file. I created 5 bind texts and the game says I have 4 arguments and need only one. I dont want to drive my teammates nuts, but it seems they enjoy my quips, and when the chips are down, it seems to help the moral.
Anyway my binds look like this:
numbpad3 "Local Stand still so I can HIT YOU!!$$powexec_name Build UP$$bind_load_file D:\Program Files\City of Heroes\build2.txt"
The guys screams, does build up, then starts swinging. However the game doesnt like it, and then he won't go to the next file.
Now, am I supposed to create the bind in the keybind text file or make it up seperately? Currently they are seperate files, but the game seems to find them...
Help?
thanks
