Quote:I just finished doing that. Can you edit the title of the original post to reflect the change to Septad?
Since we have enough for the Swiss Draw, I'd like to schedule it for Wednesday night (September 23rd) at 7:30pm EST. Now please note, due to the rules of the Swiss Draw, this is going to take a while to do. Everyone will need to be patient.
We also need a few more ATs, especially villain side, to fill out the rosters for the Septad. Again, please contact me either in game @ArwenDarkblade, via PMs on the forums, or right here in this thread.
Thank you all so much for your feedback and interest! -
Quote:I just re-read what you said about the pentad and my heart sank. "The 5 non-epic ATs." But my badge character is a Peacebringer!
Upon conducting further research, however, I've found that the septad (which includes epic archetypes) also grants the badge. Would you consider running a septad instead? If not, I will still provide whatever I can to help others get that badge.
Of course Spyder! I'll change the original post to septad.I'll edit the original post to include that. Also, there are Hero vs Hero, Villain vs Villain, and Mixed septads. That gives us some leeway depending on how many of each type sign up.
As for when, the best times for me are Tuesdays and Thursdays after 7:00pm EST, Wednesday and Friday nights after 6:00pm EST, and on the weekends any time. -
I am looking to put together teams to get the badges for Swiss Draw and Septad matches, as they are the last two Arena badges I need.
I want to first and foremost state that I am looking for participants who understand that this is a fun and casual experience where the ultimate goal is everyone who wants the badges getting them. I don't want this to be a gankfest, nor do I want people who signed up to walk away empty handed. In short, this is a badge affair that incidentally has PVP elements.
For the Swiss Draw, we need at minimum 8 people to get started. So far the roster is:
1 - @ArwenDarkblade - Arwen Darkblade, level 50 Scrapper
2 - @PhantomEnigma - Phantom Enigma, level 50 Blaster
3 - @Mekkanos - Mekkanos, level 50 Mastermind
4 - @Abraxxus - Bandit, level 50 Blaster
5 - @SpyderNoir - Naphil, level 50 Peacebringer
6 - @Talia Rayvyn - Something Villainous
7 - @Allyriah - Allyriah, level 50 Blaster
8 - @PluckySidekick - Malevol-Ant, level 50 Stalker
9 - @Manoa - Argent Ember, level 50 Controller
10 - @Karoiseka - Karoiseka, level 50 Scrapper
11 - @Katfood - Feral Kat, level 50 Scrapper
12 - @MissInformed - Miss Informed, level 50 Defender
13 - @Killerhurtz - Killerhurtz, level 50 Blaster
14 - @BionicFlea - Bionic Flea, level 50 Tanker
15 - @Hellsminion - something
16 - @Electroanagesia - Electroanagesia, level 50 Defender
17 - @Tritonfree - Philly Girl, level 50 Defender
18 - @Cinder Spawn - Awakened Death, level 50 Mastermind
The Septad is a 7 on 7 match using one of each AT. Due to the high volume of responses, and the varied ATs people want to bring, I'm going to just list those that have signed up, and we can create teams at the time:
1 - Scrapper - Arwen Darkblade
2 - Blaster - Phantom Enigma
3 - Mastermind - Mekkanos
4 - Blaster - Abraxxus
5 - Peacebringer - Spyder Noir
6 - Villain AT - Talia Rayvyn
7 - Blaster - Allyriah
8 - Stalker - Plucky Sidekick
9 - Conroller - Manoa
10 - Scrapper - Karoiseka
11 - Scrapper - Katfood
12 - Defender - MissInformed
13 - Blaster - Killerhurtz
14 - Tanker - BionicFlea
15 - Unknown - Hellsminion
16 - Defender - Electroanagesia
17 - Defender - PhillyGirl
18 - Mastermind - CinderSpawn
The first match is scheduled for Thursday, September 24th at 7:30pm EST. Meet at the Pocket D Arena. I'm more than willing to run it on other days as well, depending on how it goes on Wednesday. Also, we have so many people who have responded that we should break up into two or more teams to make it go quicker, especially the Swiss Draw. We'll work out the details when we get there. Also, I created the channel Justice Arena Badges to help with arranging matches and schedule events. Please join the channel at least until you have the badges on whom you want them on.
I'm sure most people, myself included, are willing to switch characters and ATs as needed to help everyone out. Again, this is a fun and friendly event to help each other.
If you're interested, please sign up or contact me in game at @ArwenDarkblade. Thanks! -

Quote:I've been to all those places except New Orleans, and I can tell you that Ohio can give them all a run for their money. It's not unusual for us to get up near 100 and have 98% humidity. And it's usually when I'm camping.Austin humidity? I think Houstonians, Floridans, New Orleanians and St. Louis-ians (HA! I made myself laugh!) know what REAL humidity is...

I like Texas barbecue, but my favorite is Carolina barbecue. Hmmm!

Quote:That's a pretty ringing endorsement! I'll have to give them a try now.I'll go the extra mile for Potbelly's. There is one in O'hare Airport and whenever I have a friend flying home from Chicago, I have them grab me a bunch in return for my picking them up at the airport. Then I eat Potbelly's all day... until the next time someone I know goes to Chicago.

Quote:It's so funny that you mention Potbelly's. I have lived in the midwest the majority of my life, and have never eaten at one. In fact, I was in downtown Cincinnati tonight with some friends, and had to ask them what it was. I thought it was the fondue restaurant.I'll be there. I won't be able to make the dinner, but I'm a local boy and the travel time for me is about 15 minutes. Also, In-and-Out has long approached been-there-done-that status for me. Although, I'd kill for a Potbelly's Sandwich which you midwesterners are probably sick of by now.
See you all there. -

I understand, hence why I'm still debating it myself.
Right now I'm just trying to figure out if my budget allows for a rental car, and if I am going to leave the hotel enough to justify it. -
While I'm inclined to agree with you, and I really dislike having to depend on others, this trip isn't cheap for me (coming from Ohio and all) and if an expense needs to be cut, the first one is the car. Again, I'm still on the fence about it. It really depends on any other activities they have planned, and how close they are to the hotel.

Quote:Wil Wheaton has been sick as well, as have members of Jonathan Coulton's band.Yeah, I imagine that would put a damper on things, though they got the guy who writes pvponline sick and he seems to be in fairly good humor about it.
What? I follow them on Twitter. I'm not a stalker or anything. >.> -
I'm still on the fence about renting a car, so if you're offering TJ, I'll take you up on a ride. Can't speak for the rest, however.
I was all set to rent a car and then found out that the hotel has free shuttle back and forth to the airport. I am struggling to justify the expense, given that. -
Hehe! Forgot about Talia's snort fort.
Thanks for rezzing this!

Quote:Thanks Red!There might be a better place for this in the forums...

Quote:I have no problem with the banning of paying accounts if said account holders are buying inf or services from RMT companies. If you cut off the source of income for the RMTers, they will go elsewhere.Got linked to this article, its an interesting read. Its about how Eve Online tracked their equivilent of gold farmers for a while, then banned a bunch of paying accounts associated with them, and the results of that.
