Quote:Indeed. Plas had everyone in TJ's van (aka, The Hami Express) in stitches with his incredible voice talent. Also, we realized that I can't repeat my "As Heard at HeroCon" thread this year, as many of this year's memorable quotes are not T for Teen. The car rides to and from everywhere were a blast themselves. We have so many memorable quotes that unfortunately can't be posted here.

Red, thank you again for putting this together. You deserve every accolade bestowed upon you and then some.

Quote:Goober was at HeroCon?Well, I know Goober made it to the airport in Houston, so I'm assuming he's safe at home. I got home around 1:30 am due to weather/flight delays. My flight to Austin from Houston left a bit over an hour late. My sister was waiting for me at the baggage carousel and we made a couple of pit stops on the way home.
Miss you all. Looking forward to next year. -
Thank you guys! I can't believe I have two birthday threads.

For one, you have to have Taunt. May sound obvious, but you'd be surprised.
Second, you have to be able to pay attention and communicate effectively.
Third, you need some mez protection, as Hami has a hell of a stun.
Lastly, you need EoEs and a good support system. -
Happy Birthday to my original birthday twin! I hope it's fantastic.

Quote:I have found that if you adjust the output sensitivity, you can eliminate a lot of the ambient noise. Also, my headset has a great mute option I can easily hit if I need to sneeze, chew, or cuss dramatically. It's on my right ear, and easy enough to hit.Skype is free, which is a huge plus. I hate not having push to talk on big teams, though. You hear everything: coughing, crunching of snacks, drinking, breathing, etc. I can deal with most of those, but some people don't have headsets or play with game sounds on really high volume settings or argue with family/roommates, etc. I don't really want to hear people yell at spouses and kids. My friend and I use it when we duo and Skype is great for that, but the more people you add, the crazier it gets.
I'd say try it. If you like it, it's absolutely worth the fee of $0.00. If you like the chat function but not Skype, you may at
least learn it's worth while and decide to invest I'm a paid server for another chat system.
I use Skype a lot, especially since my best friend is currently living in France. It sure beats those international call charges. -

Yes, congrats on the trivia contest win, Mekk!
Also, I must beg apologies from Wrong Number and FemFury for not extending my congratulations in my original post. I somehow missed your names and haven't been near a computer since to correct my oversight. You both also deserve a big congratulations for making it that far! -
The bacon waffles were, indeed, amazing. And I think I have to agree with Phantom that they were even tastier than last time, if such a thing is possible.
And Manoa, I have a picture of you with your chocolate pancakes that is beyond cute. -
I am home as well. I'm tired, but I don't have to get up early so I'm trying to play catch up. Pictures are forthcoming.
It was so wonderful to see you all again, and I miss you already. -
I share a birthday with Chloe AND Vest? Birthday Triplets FTW!
Happy Birthday! -

Quote:There was a baby that I missed, too?I only saw Pope ever so briefly myself. Need to make sure we spend more than 5 minutes hanging out next year unlike this year and last!
P.S. Your daughter is gorgeous! Congratulations and thank you for sharing her pics with us!
Now I'm really pissed. -

Quote:Joe, I am so sorry for your loss, and wish Axel peace wherever he may be. I think this is a lovely poem, and I think his owner would be quite happy to have it. It reminds of Rainbow Bridge in a way.I wrote this poem this morning, I was thinking about giving it to Axel's Handler....Lemme know what you guys think....
Somewere near the Pearly gates lies a shady Meadow glen.
a special place with lots of sun for a furry little friend.
with lots of food and water too, and a squirrel or two to chase.
a beautiful spot this field of green, a perfect canine place.
he plays in the grass, barks at the moon with lots of shoes to chew.
he waits for a friend, one left behind, a man dressed all in blue.
when finally that day comes at last, and you pass by that green place
with fond memories of life-long love, a loyal friend awaits
together you enter through those gates, that lead straight into heaven,
with a smile on your face you key your mike, "Canine one, Ten-Seven."
