Apologies for the cross-post, but I just wanted to let the general COH population know that my friends and I are starting up a Water Blast superteam on the Justice server this Friday, 7/20.
If you haven't yet rolled up a Water Blast toon, or want to roll another one, come join us.
More details about the team can be found here:

What: Water Blast Superteam
Where: Justice
When: Fridays and Sundays at 8pm ET (first meeting on 7/20/2012)
Who: Brought to you by the folks behind the Justice TA, Traps, Radiation, Blades, Earth, Gun, Darkness, and Time Superteams
Why: Fortune and glory... and FUN!
It's summertime. What was better as a kid than running around with Super Soakers, drenching any poor passerby from head to toe? Well, come join us as we try to reproduce those good times with the new Water Blast powerset!
Power/Build Requirements:- You must choose either Blaster, Defender, or Corruptor as your archetype.
- You must include at least 6 of the Water Blast powers in your build.
- You may choose any primary (for Defenders) or secondary (for Corruptors and Blasters) to compliment Water Blast.
- Team-focused powers are great; Leadership, Teleports, and Medicine are always useful.
- You're welcome to make use of your other build if you'd like to maintain a solo or PVP build.
Miscellaneous Details:- Our first meeting will take place Friday, July 20th, 2012 at 8pm ET on the giant star between Praetors Duncan and White in Nova Praetoria.
- We'll be coordinating the group through use of a global channel named "Justice Superteamers". Everyone participating on this team must join the channel.
- Once we've graduated from Praetoria, we'll more than likely transfer ourselves to Paragon City to start, but will eventually make ourselves vigilantes so we can enjoy what the Rogue Isles have to offer.
- We'll be focusing on PVE content (TFs, Contact Arcs, AE, Tips, iTrials, the occasional newspaper/scanner, etc).
- There is no limit on the number of people that can join us. This isn't going to be a fixed group of 8; the more, the merrier.
- Super-Sidekick makes teaming incredibly easy. If you already have a character that fits the theme of this team, or won't be able to join us at the start of this team, don't worry; we'll accept you at any level, any time. Just note that if you're significantly beyond the rest of the team in terms of level, you should expect to exemplar down to the rest of the team most of the time.
- You should read Synapse's rundown of the new powerset here.
If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to post here or send a /t or email to @arafel in-game. -
Poll has been closed. The winner was the late-breaking, write-in choice of Water Blast.
Detailed post is forthcoming... -
Ok, the long-awaited poll is here. Anyone interested in joining us on our next adventure is welcome to vote using the link below.
It took a little while to whittle down this list. I did my best to try to interpret the various ideas that have come up, and mash them into a short, concise list. It doesn't include every single suggestion, but I think it covers the intersection fairly well. And since I was the one putting it together, I took a few editorial liberties.
http://poll.fm/3ry5z
The poll will be closed when I feel the votes have pretty much stopped coming in, or if there's a theme that just outright dominates all the others (like Time Manipulation did last time).
I am not opposed to taking bribes to sway the poll in any particular direction. Cash, cookies, and/or pizza are all welcome. -
Now that we've got a couple sessions under our belt, I just wanted to toss out a few tactics that I think will be helpful for our teams. Some fall under "no duh", but are worth mentioning anyway.
- It's your responsibility to keep the Temporal Selection buff on the teammate listed below you in the team list. If you're on the bottom, you buff the top person. If/When you slot enough recharge enhancements in it to be able to keep two teammates permanently buffed, then you should buff both the teammate listed below and above you.
- Don't hang in the back of the crowd. It's natural when playing squishy ATs to hang back and use your ranged powers. That's not what we want to do here. With everyone running Time's Junction, we want to take advantage of it. Get right up in the middle of the bad guys and start smacking them in the face. With 8 people hitting the bad guys with -ToHit and -Dmg, we start turning into tanks pretty quickly.
- Stay together. Temporal Mending, Farsight, Chrono Shift, and the Leadership powers are all PBAoE, so we need to be near each other to take advantage of everything. If you stray out on your own, you won't be in range for healing, and you may run into enemies that aren't being debuffed as much as the others.
-
Just a quick bump to remind the world that our new Time Manipulation superteam is starting up on Justice this coming Friday.
If you've been thinking about rolling a character with the Time Manipulation powerset, or have one lying around that you can't seem to get any progress with, join our team!

Apologies for the cross-posting, but I wanted to make sure that folks who don't normally read the Justice forums saw this...
My friends and I are starting a Time Manipulation superteam over on Justice in a few weeks. It should be a ton of fun. All are welcome to join. You can check out the details here:

What: Time Manipulation Superteam
Where: Justice
When: Fridays and Sundays at 8pm ET (first meeting on 2/10/2012)
Who: Brought to you by the folks behind the Justice TA, Traps, Radiation, Blades, Earth, Gun, and Darkness Superteams
Why: Fortune and glory... and FUN!
This group will be based on the Time Manipulation powerset. Imagine what it'll be like when you can floor the Defense, Regen, and Recharge of just about every bad guy you run into. Now imagine that same scenario, but your teammates have buffed you multiple times with +Damage, +Regen, +Recharge, and +Defense. Sounds like fun to me. How about you?
Power/Build Requirements:- You must choose either Defender, Corruptor, or Controller as your archetype.
- You must include the following Time Manipulation powers in your build: Time Crawl, Time's Juncture, Temporal Selection, Farsight, Slowed Response, Chrono Shift
- You may choose any secondary (for Defenders) or primary (for Corruptors and Controllers) to compliment Time Manipulation.
- Team-focused powers are great; Leadership, Teleports, and Medicine are always useful.
- You're welcome to make use of your other build if you'd like to maintain a solo or PVP build.
Miscellaneous Details:- Our first meeting will take place Friday, February 10th, 2012 at 8pm ET in Mercy Island on the platform where Kalinda hangs out.
- We'll be coordinating the group through use of a global channel named "Justice Superteamers". Everyone participating on this team must join the channel.
- When we reach the appropriate level, we'll work through Tips to align ourselves so that we have access to both Blue and Red zones.
- We'll be focusing on PVE content (TFs, Contact Arcs, AE, Tips, the occasional newspaper/scanner, etc).
- There is no limit on the number of people that can join us. This isn't going to be a fixed group of 8; the more, the merrier.
- Super-Sidekick has made teaming incredibly easy. If you already have a character that fits the theme of this team, or won't be able to join us at the start of this team, don't worry; we'll accept you at any level, any time.
- Yes, Masterminds were left off the list of allowed archetypes. We want squishies in the direct line of fire. No hiding behind henchmen.
If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to post here or send a /t or email to @arafel in-game. -
Ok, folks. The poll has been posted to choose our next superteam theme. I tried to go with a shorter list this time, focusing on the powersets that seemed (to me) to get the most buzz in our conversations. Also, the choices are specific powersets rather than wide-ranging themes, so we can focus on extreme stacking.
So, get voting...

Alrighty folks, the teams are about to start tearing through Praetoria!
Any latecomers, be sure to join the Justice Superteamers channel and give a shout, we'll get you on a team. -
Apologies for the cross-post, but I just wanted to call attention to the new superteam my friends and are are starting up this Friday (9/9). It's Darkness-themed, and should be lots of fun.
Check out the details here:
http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=266770 -
What: Darkness-Themed Superteam
Where: Justice
When: Fridays and Sundays at 8pm ET (first meeting on 9/9/2011)
Who: Brought to you by the folks behind the Justice TA, Traps, Radiation, Blades, Earth, and Gun Superteams
Why: Fortune and glory... and fun.
This group will be a Praetorian team based on the various darkness powersets available. Allowed Powersets/Archetypes:- Dark Blast Defenders/Corruptors
- Dark Miasma Defenders/Corruptors
- Dark Armor Tanks/Scrappers/Brutes/Stalkers
- Dark Melee Tanks/Scrappers/Brutes/Stalkers
This team will be more theme-oriented than a traditional min/max'ed superteam, so, there are no specific power choice requirements. But, you should keep a few things in mind:- Team-focused powers are great; Leadership, Teleports, and Medicine are always useful.
- You must take at least two-thirds of the powers in the darkness powerset you choose.
- You're welcome to make use of your other build if you'd like to maintain a solo or PVP build.
Miscellaneous Details:- Our first meeting will take place Friday, September 9th, 2011 at 8pm ET on the giant star between Praetors Duncan and White in Nova Praetoria.
- Since we can't join or start Super Groups while in Praetoria, we'll be coordinating the group through use of a global channel named "Justice Superteamers". Everyone participating on this team must join the channel.
- Once we've graduated from Praetoria, we'll choose (as a team) which side to cross over to, and will promptly work Tips to align ourselves so that we have access to both Blue and Red zones.
- Pacts are not required, but are encouraged.
- It doesn't matter which Praetorian alignment you choose (Loyalist vs Resistence). We'll be able to team regardless of your alignment, and it's nice to have access to both storylines.
- Yes, Masterminds were left off the list of allowed powersets/archetypes. As were Warshades (the Negative Energy-based attacks could be argued as "dark"). This was an intentional decision to try to narrow down an already wide-open theme of "darkness".
If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to post here or send a /t or email to @arafel in-game. -
