    Coh Will not fall!!!!!

I do not post. Here I am, making a fool of myself.

I am going to find some alcohol to cry into now.

  2. Looks like I found another construction guru. Don't worry about all that. We have a licensed architect and engineer on staff, not to mention a guy with 15 year experience in HVAC. This thread is for the fun of it!

I love the idea of the crashed UFO.

  3. Ok, I have been challenged by my boss to use my geek connections to come up with an idea for a roof top. This has about a 1% chance of happening, but hey it is a good 1% chance, and it would make an awesome thread.

Here is the set up. I work for a children's hospital and we love doing fun stuff for the kids. Well, we are about to build a new tower right across the way from about 8 of the inpatient rooms leaving them nothing to look at but another tower and a 2000 sqft white roof top. Boring!

The challenge. Come up with something interesting to do on this roof top for this kids.

Limits. It can not hurt the existing roof membrane (water barrier) and keep the maintenance to a minimum. I would say the membrane can withstand about 200 lbs of pressure as long as it is spread over one sqft.

    Current ideas.
    1. The boss was always complaining about the roof being dirty, so take a flock of those vacuum robots and have them roam around the roof top. Put decorations on the top of them to keep the kids interested.

    2. Remote controlled cars for the kids to play with. Make some sort of track for them to run on the roof top. OR ROCK'EM SOCK'EM ROBOTS!

My challenge to you. What kind of goofy, fun, or crazy ideas would you come up with?

I feel no guilt in poaching your ideas.

Another means to break up the boredom of standard office-space interiors and realistic military bases, etc. etc. is to introduce barricades. Some are makeshift, originally built by enemies to impede your progress or civvies trying to create a safe spot, and others are not, and expressly part of the building's defense systems or made from portable force field generators for area denial, and some of them are destroyable (preferably all of the makeshift ones), others would force you to go another way (only a handful, and they should probably be the non-makeshift ones), and their spawning could be made fairly random to avoid even the same map being completely predictable.
I love both these ideas. It would be great to see bookcases and tables stacked up against doors or in a barricade. You know just about every office has that crazy guy just waiting for the zombie invasion. You know the guy that play too much Left 4 Dead and buys those zombie survival manuals. It would be great to see him held up in the back office taking on the bad guys or even attacking the heroes because he has snapped. You would then have to calm him down and convince him you here to help. Then he would give you the key to the door/elevator/barricade (OK my hubby is sitting over my shoulder rattling out ideas). Post your self damn it!

Are you saying that city hall sits on a Nemesis plot?
  7. Do the city leaders of paragon city subcontracts some of their construction to time lords? The reason I am asking this is because after three years of game play I have noticed that the inside of city hall is larger than the outside. I know this, because I took the time to step it off with my character. Why would I do something so boring? Because I work in construction and these things bother me. They are a kind of a pebble in my shoe so to speak.

The biggest issue I have is the evil door of code violation.

I even created a photo bucket account to share this one. My SG mates can attest the vile I spew every time I see it. You do not put stairs under a door! RANT RANT RANT.

My hubby came home to this rant and decided to throw some fuel on the fire (He was giggling the whole time) by pointing out the train tunnels in Talos. What kind of roller coaster is going on in that hill to make that elevation drop? ::eye twitch::

I have also noticed the lack of wheel chair ramps anywhere! To get in to the hospital in atlas you have a five foot high set of stairs; and that building has no emergency exits; and no windows! What are they doing in that building?!

I would like to praise the devs on some of their new maps. Making warehouse that look like a warehouse. What a novel concept! I look forward to some of the new designs.

So guys what are some of the crazy layouts you have seen?
  8. Like totally awesome. I will definitely check it out.
  9. I don't know how crazy of an idea this is but could COH have radio stations playing on line? While the music that is provided is cool I often find myself turning it off and listening to a CD. I didn't know if they could make a little extra money from radio stations by offering their content to COH players. I have no idea how something like this would work but I would like to listen to GAGA while taking on Rikti. So how crazy is this idea?
  10. I have done some of the Ouro missions on occation. Usualy to get some back story that I missed. Doing it just for the drops just feels a bit grindie. The same with turning off the xp. That is a good idea that I would love to try for a charictor concept but the content would get old real quick.

The deffinition of insanity - doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

For me it is not so much about getting to 50 as spending time with friends. However, when you do that, the end result is you end up with a few level 50 charictors. I have four right now. I even have builds planed out for three of them. Almost complete with my main!!! Just a few more hero point to go! I do end up playing her a lot so I would like to get a little salvage on her that I could use for the others. I see her as the big sister looking out for the younger ones. Though I am not sure how my name sake is related to speedy sprite other than she found it in the SG base one day playing on the ceiling fan....

I am starting to think my self into circles so I am going to stop before I get dizzy.

  11. I understand it is not a perfect solution. My reasoning for the suggestion is that at higher levels you typically have more money and your levels are not going any higher. You can afford to be a little more patient with the market. On one occasion I had a bid in for alchemical silvers and out leveled the need for them before the price dropped to where I could afford them. This could be very frustrating for a new player.

I did have a thought on another solution. Well, my hubby came up with this one so I need to give credit where it is due. Better recipe diversification by associating recipes to a player origins. Say if you receive an accuracy and you are a magic origin you would need a luck charm and spiritual essence to create it. However if you were tech origin you would need a bore sight and computer virus. Science could be human blood sample and brass. These are just ideas. I do NOT mean that there should be a ton of different recipes that should be dropping. Just when a particular player gets the recipe it would adjust to that players origin. I am not sure how difficult that would be for the dev's but I don't mind presenting them with the challenge.

Thank you for your suggestion about AE. I was enjoying the system last night. I am saving up for some orange salvage.

  12. I also get tired of the extreme high prices on the market. I understand that it is a mini game and enjoy it when I get great prices for some of my salvage.

What I don't get is why I stop receiving, say, level 30 salvage when I am level 50. Shouldn't level 30 salvage be very common? That is why it is called common salvage right? Yes, I know I can ex down and get it but that is not the point. If it is common I should still be running across it. Perhaps the drop rates would be lower since I am facing higher villains/heroes but the occasional luck charm or alchemical silver should still pop up. The cold turkey cut off at the different levels is one of the reasons for the bottlenecks in the market. Having the drops at the higher levels may be an easy way to reduce the pressure. Besides, how many regular silvers do I need after a while?

I relate this issue to myself as I get older (gain levels in real life so to speak). While I was in college I may have had three to four candy bars and five to six sodas a day. Now I am much more responsible but I sill have a candy bar once a week and sodas at lunch. Their drop rates may be lower but they are still there and don't get me started on going cold turkey on soda's. Hubby can attest to the crankiness that follows.

    Just my two cents

  13. I am looking to rename my main villain as Wolf Bite, however the name is taken. I could spell it another way but it is my main and I would like that spelling. If anyone has this I would appreciate it if I could have it.
