Just an update letting you know I haven't forgot this post or my queue. Been a busy few days.

Acid - Power Tie
So I guess he actually doesn't wear a tie? I read the description more carefully *after* I finished drawing it. Blah. -
Hericane - BW
Hericane - Color
I think I like the BW one better... really need more practice coloring these. -
Next up: Crestent, Scarf_Girl, Hericane, DeviousMe, Frosty_Femme, William_Valence, Zenvious, Turbo_Ski
Remaining positions: 1 -
Tanks 4D Memories, Take Two
So, I was so displeased with the first one that I cranked this one out quickly. She's less obviously a hero, but the pose isn't nearly as labored. I'm happier with it at any rate.
[edit] And I also love DB's background, definitely not your run-of-the-mill heroine. [/edit] -
Tanks 4D Memories
She's meant to be pushing a child behind her during a Rikti attack, while holding a defeated one in her other hand... pose came out pretty awkward!
Next up: Crestent, Scarf_Girl, Hericane, DeviousMe
Remaining after that: 5
Re: absence - I had a pretty rough year in 2007, hoping this one will go easier. Now I'm busy again messing around on Virute -
I've been away a while. But now that I've got some spare time, I thought I'd do a few free drawings for you guys since it was pretty fun last time.
For now, the first ten people who want a drawing will receive one. If you're still interested and I am too, maybe I'll do some more.
What I need: the usual screenshots, AT and power selections for the character featured. If you add a short bio, it also helps a lot for personalization.
As those of you who've seen my work before know, the quality and style may vary from piece to piece... so please don't experience a sad moment if your drawing is not what you expected from what others receive. I usually work pretty fast, but my free time is kind of erratic right now, so there will be no set deadlines or ETAs.
Thanks for reading, and hopefully we will both get some fun out of this. -
Dragonberry - Sizes 2-4
Now that my list is finished, I'm free to act totally randomly on artistic whims, and here's the first result. It's totally unsolicited, but I was browsing toddler Halloween costumes, and there was a great lizard which made me think of Dragonberry.
So I smushed the ideas together, and this happened.
If I had a toddler, they'd be wearing these costumes year-round. -
Last, but not least:
Chloropsychosis - Duality
Tried to get inside the character's head and ended up with a Jekyl/Hyde feeling, what with the experimental medication leading to villainy - the quote in the lower right of the image is in fact from the book, considered adding another cool one but it was very long and by that point didn't fit comfortably within the composition anywhere. -

I guess I tend to abandon these early, partly because the rest of the process seems pretty tedious to me, but here's a couple stages of development for MV's piece where I tried to push it a little further.
The coloring is a little odd I guess. But... it's me.

Do you do each shading line by hand or with a straightedge? That looks very tedious!! But the effects are wonderful
[/ QUOTE ]
Yep, it's by hand. It goes pretty fast after you've done... millions? of them. -

Que is now closed. I apologize to anyone else who wanted to get a portrait done, but my plate is pretty full as it is.
whiteperegrine - Spoonbender
For the record, those aren't pink effects around his head, just an active background to indicate something "spectacular" is occurring (and indicative that it needed a varied background instead of a solid color).
Was going to have a spork being bent instead of a spoon, but for the life of me couldn't recall ever seeing a metal spork.
The sketch this was based on before the heavy digital alteration will be posted shortly in my scraps section. -
