I am trying to figure out how to make the spawns larger in my arcs or to have very large ambushes come rushing towards the player from time to time during a mission.
I played one arc (sorry, can't remember the name) a week or so ago that, for a single player on maximum difficulty, would spawn 3-6 LT's per spawn, and would have really large hordes of LT's (12 or so?) come SPRINTING at me every minute or so, even if I hadn't done anything.
I don't think those are patrols - they move too fast, and every patrol I've put in seems to just meander (and more or less ignore). Are they ambushes? If so, how do you get them to spawn seemingly without any mission objective being completed, and how do you get them to make such large spawns? Kicking them to "Hard" only gives me 3 LTs.
Is the map used somehow a factor?
Please help - the all-out super-duper crazy carnage mission depends on it! -

Why not just be glad that you get to help a bunch of people test out new powers they think are cool? Debt's not that big a deal.

In a perfect world, id agree that yes I can help people with new cool powers.
Except most noobs are over-confident and think they know better.
Example: WLed N0ob runs into a mob and tps us all in- after aggroing 10 groups along the way. We tell him not to do that. this is followed by lots of cursing and a quit.

So you're the n00b in this scenario?
Experienced players always turn on "prompt for team teleport" when they don't know the folks they're teamed with.
Given that this is the thing you choose to use as an example of newbie behavior, I'd suggest you look to your own house first.

Wait...so im in a level...tping has to be done fast to avoid getting killed...so i turn it off expecting my teammate to be competant. That assumtion was my bad ill admit that.
Besides that the TP prompt is usually on.
Again, that fact though is completly irrelivant to the situation at hand. Please stick to the problems, not create new ones.

You said you're constantly being killed by n00bish incompetence, and yet you continue teaming with people who you don't know.
Then, you say you expect your teammates - who you don't know - to be competent, despite the entire premise of your post being that the n00bs are *everywhere* and ruining things for you enough to justify wanting an apology from the devs.
Hm... either you're too dumb to actually be consistent, or everyone else - and I mean *EVERYONE* else - who's responded is just unable to grasp the situation, and you are alone in a universe full of idiots.
Yeah, that must be it. It's everyone else's fault, and everyone but you is being irrelevant and stupid.
Tell me - if we don't know what we're talking about, why is it we who are enjoying the game and you who is complaining about it? (Don't bother responding - I know your answer: "Kwit bean errelevent") -

Or course, we could just claim he just said "Bosses shoudl NEVER be able to be soloed..."
[/ QUOTE ]
Frankly, until I hear otherwise, I'm assuming that's exactly what he meant. He put them in the same category with AVs and Monsters! How else are you supposed to interpret that?
[/ QUOTE ]
As someone not being entirely precise when he speaks?
Seriously - look at the guy's posts. Statesman is one of the least precise guys around. I just assume that every post is prefaced by "More or less, here is kind of what I mean:" and ended with "Or not."
I think he's wise to do that, too - why waste time to be as precise and clear as possible, only to have people (not you, necessarily, just people) completely misinterpret what he wrote because they feel like assigning weight to one thing and not another?
For the record, here's how I interpreted what he wrote:
"For the most part, everyone will be able to solo in some situations. Some builds and ATs more than others. But there are some mobs that can be a challenge - bosses, elite bosses, AV's and monsters - where you'll probably want help. Or not."
That interpretation is based on being more or less familiar with the guy's writing.
Now, if he really does think he's being as clear and unequivocal as possible - then there is a problem... -

In the Tanker forum Statesman said this
[ QUOTE ]
So I promised action. Well, some playtesting quickly showed that any adjustment to damage meant that the Tanker quickly outshined every other Archetype. We came up with a number of balancing strategies, but in the end, we found that if we boosted the damage, we'd need to turn the Tankers resistances down. That meant making a Tanker a Scrapper.
[/ QUOTE ]
Basically I read that as saying "No change for Tanks". I also expect that if they aren't going to increase Tanker damage they they aren't going to touch Defender or Controller damage either.
[/ QUOTE ]
Statesman announced that the tanker modification and fixes (whatever they are) have a higher priority than issue 4. So, we'll see issue 3 and then the tanker fix, and then issue 4. -
Hm, DA is usually packed when I go there - all the fire people going zombie hunting.
I think the problem with Faultline is that it's really easy to land smack-dab in the midst of a mass of mobs without knowing it.
I think the problem with hazard zones in general is that, for the most part, it is easier to get XP elsewhere at whatever level. PP, the Hollows and DA are notable exceptions.
Also, in Faultline, there's Vaz. Lots and lots of Vaz. If you're at the right level to earn from those fights, the Vaz are really quite overpowering, blasting right through even invuln tanks.
Also, Perez and Hollows have level 15ish minions in there too - so you can go from 5-15 in Hollows or 7-14ish in Perez, and never really need to hit Boomtown.

L2 is horrible, biggest let down since SWG
Ya they have said alot of stuff but we dont KNOW anything.
They are trying to dangle this EAT infront of the lvl 50s to keep them playing and it just isnt working, why do all the carebears complaing about PVP when it is going to be optional, just because you wont like it doesnt mean you have to cry about it so we cant enjoy something other then killing the same mobs over and over and over

Are you being intentionally stupid, or do you just have trouble understanding what people write?
No one is complaining about consensual PvP. In fact, every single person who's responded to you about it at this point has responded to say that what you're asking for is coming - and you are somehow taking that to be a condemnation of PvP.
You're so stupid it's almost magical.
