Recon Report:


Travel within Storm Palace:

Approximately 21:00hrs Eastern Standard time I conducted a deep recon of an location called Storm Palace which is located deep within the Chantry area. Travel within this area is very dangerous and difficult and would strongly recommend that only New Guardians Operatives with flight or teleportation powers only be deployed within the theater of operations.

Leveled operatives with Super-jump will not be able to utilize that power to get to Storm Palace location, unlike some of the locations found within Fire Base Zulu. The Storm Palace stronghold is suspended within a dark purple storm cloudy area with no intermediate rock platform/island to jump from or establish an OP (observation post). Correction there is a suspended platform/island just past the Storm Palace, however getting to that location by of means of jumping or land travel is impossible. If a New Guardian super-team/squad is operating in the region, it is absolutely imperative that at least two members of the super-team have Recall Friend on top of Flight and Teleportation powers.

Also be advised that the region of Storm Palace is engulfed in category 5 Hurricane like conditions, lightening strikes constantly occur within the region and around the structure of Storm Palace and represents a clear and present danger when traveling to and from the location of the Storm Palace.


Indigenous Population:

The Indigenous Population within the region of the Storm Palace area are high level Lightening Elemental(s), high level alien Willow Wisps, various types of Watchers (monsters that look like floating eyeballs with teeth), and Brutes.

The primary guardians on route to the Storm Palace from the starting platform are Watchers, Wisps and Elemental(s) that number in the hundreds. They tend to cluster in a large group that makes them very vulnerable to area of effect powers (Nova being one of them, Stormravyen would of loved this area). However do to the location and their numbers such a venture is dangerous and should be handled with extreme caution.

The Brutes, which also number in the hundreds are not airborne guardians and primarily operate as shock troopers within the Storm Palace structure itself, they do not represent a threat when traveling to the location.




Storm Palace:

As one first approaches the structure of the Storm Palace it is very easy to mistakenly think it of it as a small moon, but much like Han Solo and Chewie discovered in Star Wars one quickly comes to the realization that this is no small moon. Storm Palace is a massive monolith of sphere of stone that hangs with an oppressive dominance of the region. This monster of a base is protected by a type 10 shield that would no doubt be able to withstand an assault from the best Nature's Fury's lightening or Stormravyen's blast, which by any means is no small measure.

The shield is under constant assault by massive lightening strikes that slam up against the structure like meteor strikes. I believe the strikes have an area of effect range, however at the time I was not willing to de-phase from my phase-shift power to find out, but it look mighty impressive.

Getting past the shield was a bit of an effort, simply put there are holes or open areas within the shielding that one can move through. However the problem is that in the area that there are holes to enter, this is where most of the Storm Palace guardians are clustered. The make up of these groups are Brutes, Wisps and Watchers which, number in the dozens. All of who can mount attacks made of energy, physical and mental damage. Assaulting such a force will require the full might of New Guardians heavy hitters, I fear even the big blue guy and Ravenger would get a run for their money (even more so after Patch Issue 5).

After spending about 10mins or so exploring and doing a circuit around the sphere's equator (cataloging numbers and defensive positions), I stumbled upon a dark cannon. Going into the cannon and traveling for a bit I came to a dead end where there upon the wall was some sort of twisting, star shape like portal that I suspect leads to the inner area of the sphere. Despite my efforts I was unable to gain access to past this portal, so I am unable to report as to what is inside Storm Palace in the way of enemies, defenses and environment. I will continue to look into this matter by establishing contacts within the region and conducting missions.


Conclusion:

Storm Palace is not a place for the weak or in this case low leveled, the environmental dangers and enemy forces that operate within the region, will require only the highest level of New Guardian operatives to attempt missions I that area. Solo operations are on likely and difficult and would advise strongly against such ventures.

Investigation of this area will be on going, and I will continue to supply information as more data is acquired. Would recommend to New Guardian's Command staff to assign a threat level of Violet High to this area. Digital photos or the region and its guardians will be shortly posted on the New Guardian gallery and intelligence command with standard security protocols in place.

Nature's Fury: Hi this is Nature's Fury.

Aureil: Hello this Aureil.

Nature's Fury: And we are here today to talk about very important word or in this case a acronym that we use almost every day in the United Defenders Union.

Aureil: Yep! That word is EEEP! Do you kids know what the word EEEP means? No..well Nature one of the founders of the UDU can help you.

Nature's Fury: Thanks Auriel;For those of you who are new to the Defender's Union, welcome! Today I want to go into detail about EEEP! EEEP to many outside of our union thinks this word to be of little importance, but to us defenders it is a word or acronym of very grave importance to us. You see the word EEEP stands for " Emergency Evac Egression Program'. Typically only us defenders know the true relevance of its meaning, and today we are here to teach you new union members the "hows and whens" to use the word EEEP in every day situations and of course more so during times of danger and combat

For example there are many times when one can use "Eeep", within a simple sentence or to add more impact to a statement. Again for example….

< Nature nods over to Auriel and from Nature's cue steps back over to the other podium that was set up on the stage>

If I was to bump into Auriel one day by chance in the streets of Paragon, and seening her looking a bit beaten up. I would ask why she looks so beat up, her being a member of the United Defender's Union she of course would reply in the correct manner...

Nature's Fury : Oh my god! Auriel you look like hell, what happened to you?

Auriel: Oh hi Nature, I teamed up with Cent on a AV mission and I got the eeep kicked out of me!

< Chuckles can now be heard among the audience >

Auriel: Or one could use eeep in this context...... How did your mission go with Cent, Nature?

Nature's Fury: Good, but at one point while running within the bad guy's lab; Dorkfish and me ran around the corner and bumped into the AV. We nearly Eeepped our pants when he attacked us.

So you see there are a million uses that could be applied to the word eeep, however for us defenders and the membership. EEEP, is more far more important that just that.....EEEP is also the main code word that we of the UDU use when we are in times of distress. We within the UDU called this the " Emergency Evac Egression Program". It is the universal call sign of distress within the order of the UDU, and when any defender of this membership hears this cry for help....we answer....no matter what the cost! Even if it means possibly our own lives!

A long draw out scream of EEEP means that it is too late, and now the yelling of EEEP is being sent out as a warming to all fellow UDU to run! To Engage "The Emergency Evac Egressin Program " protocals and to get the eeep out there. Now how do you tell if the " EEEP " in question is an EEEP calling for help or an EEEP calling to run. Well its simple...the answer is the tone and pitch of the eeep.

If the EEEP is short sounding like an yelp...then it means I am in trouble please save me.....if the eeep is more drawn out like last part of the movie Braveheart where the hero William Wallace is getting his liver cutt out of him and he yells out freeeeeeeeeeeeeedooooooooooooooooommmmmmmmmm....we ll thats means run for it the villians have won this battle.
Auriel could you please show them what I mean.

Auriel: No problem, its something like this...aahemmmmm...<Auriel clears her throat>

"Hey guys I am just going to see if any bad guys are around this corne....EEEP!"

Nature's Fury: This clearly means that she has been caught of guard and she needs help, but most importantly there is time to still help her. The next example please Aureil.

< All of a sudden loud speakers begin playing the sounds of combat and team members screaming in the back ground>

Loud speakers: Medic! Medic! Oh my god we just lost the big blue guy!!!

Loud speakers: Dorkfish!...Dorkfish...is down......arrrrrrrrrrraaaaaahah...I am going to buy it on this <farging> rock!

Loud Speaker: Get some! Get Some! Oh you want some to..get some! Get so.....arraaaaaaach....

Loud Speaker: Game over man! Game over!

Auriel: EEEP! EEEP! EEEP Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeppppppppppppppppppppppppp..p..p..p..p.....

Nature's Fury: Now that is the signal that all is lost and the superteams a write off and its time now start the Emergency Evac Egression Program protocals, and get the eeep out of there.

Auriel: However, if I could made a comment about that point the whole costing your life thing....such efforts are only made for UDU members or members that have been given honorary titles within the membership. That....is not to say that you leave non-UDU member to die....oh no! You make every effort to help your teammates....its just....well.....you know....you just make sure that the ultimate effort is spend on a UDU member as suppose to just....well you know anyone.....membership has its privileges.

<Nature's Fury looks over at Auriel before speaking then back at the membership>

Nature's Fury: Er......right you are! Yes membership does have its privileges....so moving on wards I would like to move to the next subject of our conference.....please read the chapter...oh yes I almost forgot we have a special guest today with us and we want to welcome her to the membership.....Pulive's mother!

<claps and cheers erupts from the audience>

Nature's Fury: She is one of our newest members and she is always welcomed here with us as our union sister.

Auriel: Apparently we have found out that Pulive has moved into some super secret hard to find hidden cave somewhere and has used his own mother as a butler....(an angry look from Auriel and Fury)

< Booing and hissing can now be clearly heard from the crowd and membership of the UDU>

Crowd: Boo! Boo! Let Pulive do his own wash......
