  1. Air will be wearing the exact same suit he wore to the last prom; a black jacket and trousers, a white shirt, his mask, and a bow tie of the same colour as his mask, which he also wears.

He looks a little awkward, as usual. So many people, most of whom he hasn't spoken to before due to his quiet nature. He's also on the lookout for any incarnation of Tamura, so he doesn't get caught off-guard like last time. He'll tend to be wandering between the Rock Band setup and the food table, eating to calm his nerves. But occasionally he'll go to the dance floor, with the intention of watching rather than participating.

That was the plan, anyway. Air Razor was standing at the side of the dance floor, watching the couples moving in time with the music, an up-beat song he recognised faintly but couldn't place. He recalled his dance lessons with Ryan and Dinah, and was shuffling his feet around in what just about resembled a jive.

Staring at his feet trying to recall some of the moves, he didn't notice anyone approaching.

"C'mon Air, dancing. Juan's fine with it. Can even dance with him later if you want. I won't mind. Oggle, yes. Mind, nope."
Air looked up. "Uh....hi Sophi-wait, huh?" he stuttered, taking a while to process what Sophie Reynalds had said. Sophie held out her hand, and when Air hesitated to respond, she reached out and seized his hand, and pulled him onto the dance floor.

Air was trying to replicate what he'd learnt in his lessons, but he felt far more pressured on an actual dance floor than any environment he'd been taught in. He tried his hardest to dance well, spending more time staring at his feet than looking at Sophie, his brow creased with concentration.
"Eyes up, Air! You'll not get them moving right if you keep looking down." Sophie grinned to him. Air paused for a second, a confused look on his face. "Get my eyes moving right?"
"Your feet! You concentrate on them, you're having to think harder about moving them. Just move them! Or else I'll get Isaac to drop by and dance with you instead. Want me to do that?"
"Uhhhh..." Air was starting to look a little red, a combination of the suggestion that he dance with Isaac and the feeling that the eyes of the rest of the room were probably on him. "I'm fine dancing with you." He tried again to move his feet correctly, with a little more success than before.

"See? Better already!" Sophie smiled. Air started to relax a little, still dancing awkwardly but beginning to enjoy himself a bit more. He stumbled a couple of times, narrowly missing Sophie's feet on more than one occasion. When the song ended, Sophie said "Thanks. I won't hog you any longer, I bet there's a few others who'd like to dance with you!" she nodded in the direction of a group of girls standing on the opposite side of the dance floor. "Go and say hi!"

Air Razor staggered in the general direction of that side of the room, then veered towards the buffet table. Comfort eating is needed before asking people to dance. Lots of comfort eating...
  2. Air Razor adjusted his bow tie again. This was the third time since he'd reached the front door of the tower that he'd used a window to adjust it. The same window. Something about tonight unnerved him to the core. Was it that this was his first prom? He didn't know what to expect, that must be it. Would he be spending the whole night chatting to his friends, as he would any other time he saw them? Or would he be expected to dance all night with girls he's seen across the classroom but never spoken to?

"Yeah, that'd be the day", he thought to himself. Even if he could manage to dance, or even walk for very long, with his body aching like this, he doubted anybody would be interested. Even if people would normally like to dance with him, which he thought unlikely, nobody would want to waltz with someone as black and blue as he was at that moment.

Maybe that was what worried him. Would he spend the whole evening staring at a dance floor, filled with his friends, while he stood at the side sipping a drink? "No," Air thought, "There's video games. If nothing else, I can always game".

He examined himself in the reflection from the window once more. His mask secure on his face, his bow tie of matching colour straight, he checked his black suit for dust, then slowly hobbled into the building, a bewildered look on his face.
  3. Hmm, evidently the games I GM need more Jesus...
  4. I tried that, but I found I had no clue how to do anything with it, so in the end I was just using it to view 3D models and nothing else. However, that's not the program's fault but mine, for not really knowing how to use 3D graphics programs. Anybody know of any good tutorials?

He's wearing a hat in both pics? :P
  6. I use ATI, so that could well be the problem.

Knightly, I was just thinking that exact same thing earlier. Awesome picture!
  8. Haha, true, it does sounds like an album name. I've tried both low and high graphics settings, and neither seems to sort it. Glad to know it's not just me, though.

    Star-Bright

Very impressive, I love the art style, certainly better than anything I could hope to manage. Well done!
  10. I don't know if this is a bug everyone has, knows about and accepts, or whether it's just my client, but whenever there's water (or other reflective surfaces, but they seem rare), the reflection is at a ridiculous angle. When I move the camera, the angle in the reflection doesn't change as it should, and it's actually possible for me to be able to see the pool of water in the reflection, which physics says is just bonkers. Anyone else had this problem?

  12. There's always new players who'd be up for joining a supergroup. I'd imagine that most veterans who're interested in SGs are already in one, but even there, there might be possible recruits. I'm new myself (first post here, actually) so I might be wrong, but that's the impression I get. (I've already got plans for a SG exclusively involving IRL friends, otherwise I'd be interested in joining myself. Maybe if I make an alt sometime.)
