I usually do take BU on my tanks but I agree with LSK that it's not as necessary for a Fire tank with the buffed FE. However, one advantage that BU has is that it takes ToHit sets, some of which have very nice bonuses. Though I wouldn't take it instead of Taunt, personally.
I do remember the buff to Mace and being very excited about it, but I think where it fails for me is I still compare it to when I had 1 acc and 5 slots of damage in it with perma Hasten and 100 ninjas jumping on my back eager to land in Burn and also the /SS tank I play currently...but I digress. I agree with you on Taunt, I usually take it around 20 once my Def is more reliable and I have some mez res. As far as the build mauk2 posted I dont think the powers were chosen in a specific order, I think it was just a post 50 build thrown together to see the bonuses which is something I do all the time.

Is this the build you currently use? Also Im going to put a build together when I get out of work if you anyone wants to critique it. I dont wanna be one of those guys who insists on everyone making suggestions while I bring nothing to the table. -

I cant recreate the current build on a count of it being pre-inherent fitness so Im falling short with power selections and dont wanna add any filler powers just to hit certain levels. I did notice that I was lacking Clobber so that one addition would help. Theres no IO's slotted or set bonuses involved so Ill just rephrase my question as so, if I were to build a Fire/Mace tank would you or anyone have any tips and what to choose or suggestions on what not to from previous experiences. Survivability was never an issue as Ive got that part covered with just SOs so I guess what Im going for is recharge and damage to be used as a good tank for end game content I pretty much gave up on this toon after playing brutes, scraps, cors and blasters so bringing some fun back to my first ever toon would be nice. I have plenty of respecs and inf to use so thats not an issue. Ill take any suggestions without criticism as this build is a clean slate for anyone that wants to offer their opinion.

Can anyone offer any advice on making my fire/mace tank more formidable? He is a 50, with all the hp and end accolades and Incarnate unlocked I also have plenty of HOs if you wanna factor that into the build. Im set on fire and mace and thats it, so if anyone has tips or a sample build I can take a look at I would appreciate it.
P.S. This is my very first toon Ive had since 2004 so I need to keep him and wont delete him. I just want this toon to be fun again. Ever since ED his Mace hits like a wet napkin. Thanks
