  1. Update since my last post. Things like this drive me crazy until I can fix them so i went ahead and tried TomatoUSB firmware for my E2000 router. I flashed it over, rebooted and played CoH for awhile. No packet loss and no giant red spikes on my netgraph. So I ran a pathping...

Obviously Linksys' firmware is absolute garbage. My ping is still around 150 but no packet loss so the lag I have is pretty minimal. I am going to run with this for awhile and see how it fares. So far so good though. Thanks for the help.
  2. I then went ahead and ran the same test from my laptop computer and it came back with this.....

Since my PC is wireless I didn't have the option to run it direct and give it a try so I connected straight from the modem and ran it once again. Interesting results this time....

Does it appear my wireless router is giving me the problems?? I hope it isn't because its a fairly new router (I know that doesn't mean anything just pisses me off). I don't have a new router I can swap out to test it but I can buy a new one and see if that alleviates my problems if need be.
  3. Thank you for the quick replies. I went ahead and shut my PC down. Unplugged my router and my modem and waited 5 minutes and ran it again. Shows really no difference.

  4. I have come back to CoH after 3 years of being out. I used to play wired directly to my router but now I am a room away and playing wireless. I started a month ago and I have high ping issues. I run right around 150 to 170. I have run netgraph and kept an eye on things and no matter when I play I still have the same problems.

I am using a Linksys E2000 router with the current firmware and set on channel 11. No other routers in my building are on this channel btw. My wireless card is a linksys WMP600N with the most current Ralink drivers. I have played around with settings to no avail on both the router and wireless card. Nothing seems to work as my ping stays the same no matter what. The only strange thing while checking the netgraph is I get single red spikes every minute or so and then it goes back to the good "green grass" look. I am just curious if anyone has any tips or tricks to try to get my ping a little lower.

This is my pathping log... I am losing packets along the way and I am not sure why. I have nothing else running besides CoH and Kaspersky AV.

  5. I appreciate the work that has gone into this. I recently upgraded from a BFG 8600 GTOC2 to a BFG 9800 GTX+ and had been having crashing problems left and right. I applied the hotfix and now have been running problem free for the last few days.
