ah, that post, no those don't work for me. But the ones he posted *click click* i think, those work fine.

No, it's an indication that people are too lazy to do what needs to be done to get on a team. It's exactly the same as it was before. I've been here 5 years. There's been no noticable decrease in random invites and tells, and I'm on Protector. Again, you failed to indicate where you're playing, what time of day, and what you ARE doing to get on teams.
If you're NOT doing those simple things, you ARE waiting for them to come to you, apparently, and that's "lazy". -
Yup. This is an American-based game and though it's available to other countries it IS a fact of life that even if you're an English speaker in Australia, South Africa, Singapore, or Europe... we're still playing at another time of day.
Tellyk, you didn't say what server you're on, what time you're playing, redside or blue, etc. I think if you're going to chime in with the "but it's still hard" crowd, speaking up about those things is at least as important as your opinion on the ease of teaming. -

It works for me, strange.

Works for me too, odd. -

It's interesting that I myself have been having the exact opposite of your experience. I can see why people get heated about this issue.

And, have you attempted any of the listed things in this thread to get your experience to match up more with the rest? Because if not, I highly suggest you do. Because the teams are out there, there are plenty of people in the game. If you aren't willing to make your own team by politely sending tells and not being overly picky about your pickup groups, or getting on a supergroup, or a global channel, or in your server forum, ... then that's still exactly like the OP's "problem". Laziness is his problem. I hope it's not yours too. -

I usually log in to the City of Heroes website once a day, I have no need for newsletters, right?

Unless there's something in it that you can redeem or like that. Or, have an older expired account that you forgot about. -
Responding to people who have you on ignore is part of how you get into the Cartel. hehehe.
-
I never said I had "cold hard facts." I said "measurable" and to me, looking at the game's population *in the game* and producing *real, easily seen results* seems to be about as good as we're going to get. Because frankly, the "other side" of this argument *cannot prove their version either*.
So the question is, do you prefer whining about how the game is harder to find teams in now, or that the game is clearly expanding? Because so far the 'anecdotal' evidence is that it's expanding. Even the OP states right out, they FOUND a team, they GOT players. At the same time as Bill was doing the same thing! Defeating the entire argument he had, at any rate.
Does it seem harder? To me? No. Does it seem like there are more people? Yes. *shrug* again I fail to see where I must dig up "hard facts" when the OP did not start with his own. -
-
BOTH OF YOU HAD TEAMS!
How hard is that? That means "it's not hard to get a team!"
*shoots self* -

How does making a team in just a few minutes from login prove it's "harder?"
[/ QUOTE ]
But that's DIFFERENT! Bill is a FORUM CARTEL member. And thus, everything happens in a snap because of his post count here!!
It couldn't POSSIBLY be because he looked for a team, quickly, not picky, around the right level range, decided what to do, ran and did it, and had fun.
Because only forum cartel people can do that. -
I wouldn't mind just having a 'window' prop with different scenes on it.
-
How DO you type and plug your ears at the same time?

I wonder if I'm ignored for that comment about player notes or the mini fridge...

I wonder if he'd ever bothered to read my post earlier today, that he MIGHT stand a chance of getting a good forum-based team going, but I strongly suspect that 90% of Freedom's forum goers already ignore him here AND in game.
And, I have to wonder, with the list - I know that PK once put something like that in his sig and it got modded pretty quick. Do we have to wait until Monday for this troll to get smacked, or is there someone working now that can do it?
I should totally have been at the top of that list, dammit. -
Yeah post a second list, please. There may very well be enough people to do a second one. Hopefully, with a leader who has done it before, because I know I haven't, and I'd take WAY longer to do some stuff than more experienced tf leaders. Also, since i don't know, how many does it take to start this one? 8?

It can be a little much for the average idiot who just wants to turn the machine on, pop in a disk, and start mindlessly killing things.

qft, dude. I just installed "Dosbox" - an emulator for old dos-based programs because I have a lot of older stuff I'd like to play. As I was going through the readme files on those old games ... omg lol the stuff we had to do just to get a stupid DOS game to run! -
Forum Cartel's sappin his team!
-
Why are you trying to get more?
Just *play*. Use your brain, use tactics suitable to the powersets you have available! -
There seems to be a problem already: we don't have "healers" in this game.
And redside didn't even have much in the way of "healing damage" to begin with.
You keep shooting yourself in the foot. You're ON a team. If you think the team is going a bad direction, then *take control of it* if you have the tact. I doubt you do, but there's always "leading" ... be a good leader, people will follow you.
If you're doing good enough damage, and *thinking*, instead of relying upon a healer to suck down the damage being done to you, the game's a cakewalk with almost any set of at's on a team. -
I wish I had someone who was just slightly higher in the 30s... I've got a level 37 db, ... If I push her to 40, perhaps. I don't know, haven't been playing all that much but pencil me in as a maybe.
Hell she's even got teleport. -
Yeah I understand the interactive part, pretty much all my friends have consoles and do the rock bandage and stuff Myself, I guess since I never owned one growing up or when they started taking off (as I was in my late teens when they began at all) I'm not into the whole "buy it and release it back into the wild" concept of purchasing things that are quite expensive, and have one or two plays through, then sell back.
I buy movies, never rent them. I think it's the same thing.
But yeah, the group-participating thing is an obvious benefit - I'm not doubting the USEFULNESS of the console for certain things, having a dedicated system is good for some things.
Just not MY thing, is all. It's a whole culture clash thing for me. -
But we still think you're wrong about that.
-
I think it expresses the fact that some people are still stupid, no matter what the economy is like? Why anyone NEEDS an Xbox, Wii or whatever is beyond me. I have a computer, it's doing great. I can play lots of things on it, and games are generally cheaper for it. *shrug* But I've obviously never been on the console crowd thing, so I dunno.

If you had a 5 year old SON, he'd probably have gotten it. Girls and explosions aren't always on the same wavelength. It's an acquired taste.
For my part, I've been logging on my old toons on all the servers to get the 5th anniversary badge, and noticing how many of them with the short-short skirts have the borked skirt option... O___o how... pleasant! Those holes in the 'sides' of the skirts are now in the front and back! >_>
So I promptly took one of them up into the tiki room and put on a bridal veil and bolero. Just because you CAN still do THAT much.
