Level shifted and feeling the love.
But still running low rez. Need to incarnate my graphics card.

I love the Tim Kelly ones, the simple colours really do them justice. Daggerpoint is always crisp. The second Daggerpoint (Disheartener) looks significantly different between the lines and the coloured version (no, I am not referring to the nipples). Was this a deliberate infusion of personality?

Here's my version 1 for this month, as a distraction from the criteria discussions. I think my final picture will look similar. But with the painterly background, cell shaded toons and weird ice, there's a dissonance beyond "what the heck with the bunny ears?". I'll keep playing with my layers if I have time. [and I did]
The yellow and blue guy is Mr. Happy, he visited my dA page and somehow ended up being dragged into the picture. I understand he's a little like Morph or Mask, so I figured he'd be a far better sculptor than Airhead.
But I think I'm seeing the limits of my Paint.NET program, and I might try actual paints on real paper in future.

Quote:This is more of a truism than 'resembles his pet' or 'are what you eat'.Don't have any from back when I had a mohawk (egads, been like 2+ decades!!) and this one isn't all that recent, but it's the one I happen tohave already on photobucket...
Although the resemblance to Janet Planet is even more frightening. -
I haven't seen this problem, but I think I have used multiple cookie-cut minions in a group. I play with the colours though, perhaps that bakes them in.

Fantastic atmosphere in this! I never knew the golden age had so much smoke and dust
-
Incredible pencils! That looks gorgeous.
While it's still in black and white, the face in a circle in the background looks a bit like a thought bubble for the unfortunate Vampyr in the foreground. Like he's thinking, "Oh boy, the wife is gonna kill me for this."
The hapless victim also captures really well how the Council are so dang tall. -

Umm... Portugeezer looks a bit like a flavoured ice block with the flavour sucked out of it?

I think this means I have a chance if I assassinate people

A bit of a repetitive post given RDH above, but:
1. Henri - nice story
2. CR
3. TBA
That last vote is not 'to be announced'. -
Cow practicing the little-known sport of "Tsoo-tipping".
Great broken glass effect from fallingirl! -
The koi is so inventive! Even if it's hard to imagine a koi saving the day that is the most unusual costume I've seen in some time in any thread. With all his bubbles he'd be almost a good luck charm, which plays well into his koi theme too. My favorite so far (hopefully my being from Singapore has nothing to do with that).
Edit: To attach the costume file, put:

Paste in the text from your costume file, and finish with:

What a beautiful action sequence! The villain looks almost crystalline. Take that, evil flying bovine library lurker!

Coolio. So Aquarius is an airhead, makes him easier to script for me. He's still a water bearer, so he can keep the rockin' water power. Add him to the three real water signs, and you have... four again.
Ain't astrology, uh, mutable! -
It's where Comrade Hero logs in.
It gives him a better time zone for night-time crime fighting around the world. -
Thanks for running this Bubbawheat! I wish I could have contributed, but some staffing issues over the festive season plus endless travel meant I couldn't get through even one set of contenders.
I echo Cheshire that my story was in the wrong category, so would definitely not meet expectations. Better to judge an arc by its arc description. But on the other hand it did get me at least 3 plays, and some nice comments about its lowbie tale too in this forum.
It's that last little bit that has me inclined to write another story as time permits. Thanks ArrowRose, Coulomb, LaserJesus and anyone else whose forum comments I missed -
Wow, Aquarius went from goofy to very cool.
I didn't imagine the wings being outstretched much, just big ol' tanks, but it looks like they stay connected nicely to his gear with hoses! So the concept is like commercial aircraft wings, but with water.
The water effect is looking very cool too. If he turns out to be more blaster than controller then the scene you've created would make a really stand-out circular sequential panel. But he's welcome to be a water controller. I'd also imagined him to be a bit of a hippy, Age of Aquarius. A high-tech lagoon-diving hippy. Okay, no, I'll go with whatever you go with -
