  1. Hey, now, we duoed the old Posi that one time, remember? *shudders* No, wait...I don't want to!

It (the duo ITF) was definitely a lot of fun! I told him we need to duo LGTF now. =D

A friend of ours was also last seen soloing Tin Mage yesterday afternoon. I wonder if she succeeded... Would be awesome if so!
  2. 2 accounts, 250 toons, 28 lvl 50's... >.>

Annnnnnnyways *Tries to direct the attention away from herself* Your new character sounds neat. Would love to see a screenie!

So...its okay that they gave out 10 codes on Freedom, 5 on Justice, visiting all the instances there (Freedom had 5), but yet they shafted 5 servers, only going to 1 instance, and Virtue got completely shafted from what I keep hearing.

No, they didn't have to do this, but they could have planned/run it a lot better.

  5. Untrue. Justice got 5. Avatea even said "The people in D2 sweet talked me into giving out the first 3 codes there." D2 got 3 codes and D1 got 2. A couple other servers also got multiple codes. It should have been the same for all servers, not special treatment for a select few.

This whole event left a bad taste in my mouth. A first For CoH. Been here since just before I6, and this is the first time I have ever been truly disappointed.
  6. The in-game parties were a joke.

I have *never* complained about an in-game event before, but this one was just unfair.

It was bad enough that the OP read like a costume contest, which was random...that kinda upset a few people who had worked hard on costumes for this "party."

What I found unfair was this:

Freedom had 5 instances of D. Every instance was visisted, I think between all 5 instances there were 12(?) codes handed out.

Several other servers had two instances of D, sometimes three. Most of the servers got the 2nd and 3rd instance visited and codes given out. Victory, Guardian, Triumph, and Protector did not. Everyone in D2 on those servers was told tough luck.

About to log into the one on Virtue, and I bet every instance is hit and every instance has codes fgiven away within it.

I understand that things were very busy and what not, but maybe you should have put some clear rules in place. If you're going to go to every instance of D on three or four servers, then you should make it the same rule for them all, not leave D2 on 4 different servers just hanging. I think it should have been first instance only for all servers, or every instance for all servers.

This is truly the first time I can say that this sort of thing just didn't feel good or right; it felt very unfair.
  7. I was on it within 2 seconds of them posting it. My account was already logged in and awaiting me to put the code in, so I didn't have to fuss with it. I took the code that was backwards and upside down to boot. Had it typed in within 10 seconds. It was gone. They were all gone within 45 seconds.

I agree with my husband who thinks some people are using scripting tools and optical recognition. It just seems silly that all the codes are gone within mere seconds of being posted.

And those of us who have issues like dyslexia or poor eyesight, generally miss out every time anyways. But this time...dang, I thought I honestly had it.

Hope I get lucky tonight in D, then.
  8. FB codes all used. And I caught it 2 seconds after the post. I agree with my husband...I think people are using scripting tools. I enetered every NA code there was, hitting the backwards and upside down ones first.

Its fun trying to win these with dyslexia. =P
  9. It says in the announcment. The FB code is between 2 - 4pm central. An hour to go. The forum code is between 4 - 6 central (5 - 7EST)

Generally appears in the CoH general discussion area.
  10. Then they should re-word their original posting. They make it sound like its a competition. How do they do this randomly and make it fair? Some servers, Virtue and Freedom come to mind, are likey going to have 2 - 3 instances of D at any one time. How can they randomize something like that?

Did the devs just walk up to someone and go, here you are, free code! Seems kinda...weird.
  11. Are you certain, Vox? The description reads like it is a costume competition of some sort.

The FB codes are to go out anytime between 2 - 4pm central time. So anytime between now and another hour and fifteen minutes from now. They could post the code at 3:59pm for all we know. 2:46pm here now.

Its currently bugged. Some people are able to get multiple NotW's. Quite a few people on Justice already have their super rare slotted. I've done Kahn twice this week on one of my controllers, and she got a NotW each time. Seems to be 18 hours apart to get another to drop. My husband has gotten two NotW's in the last 2 days by running Kahn.

But, anyways, what you said is normally the case.
  15. I'd like a picture of my Plant/Rad/Fire, Nuclear Autumn. Maybe she could be balancing a ball of flame on her palm, she does love fireball, afterall! =D

After quitting the TF, I sent the leader a tell to let them know the tank already had the Saved the World badge. Had obviously survived the TF. And that it was their damned loss

    Elitism is an ugly thing
That leader was just plain ignorant. My husband's earth controller has tanked on an STF before; including keeping LR away from the team during the tower phase of the TF. My Electric tank even survived tanking him, though I did cheat a little bit.
  17. Certain pets are also crashing entire zones.

Creepers from the plant control set, at least on controllers, caused instant mapserves when used, even leading to an entire team losing connection. This was only with the rare incarnate enhancement slotted. Once unslotted there is no issue.

Hope this patch helps fix everyone's issues. I really love that controller...mmm, perma creepers, AM, and (almost) hasten.

    a +4 ITF

I'd be interested. You would need a lot of debuff, probably temp pets for the Rom fight, possibly nukes.
  19. Then why bother to have start/end times at all? I don't think I've ever seen them stick to their start/end times for events. Its 12 hours past when double xp was going to stop, and its still going strong! Not that I mind, its just weird that they always set times for beginning and end, and then ignore them completely. Always.

If they are extending it another day or two, an announcement would be nice.
  20. I always find it funny that they give start and end times, yet don't stick to them.

The event started at 8am central, not 11am on Thursday. It was supposed to end this morning at 2am central. 11:45 right now and double XP is still going.

Not complaining, I love the extra time, but wonder why they even bother with an "official" start and end time if they don't mean what they say. =P

  22. I think the guy's name was Twixt. Or...something like that, anyways.
  23. I'm pretty sure that the EULA states that once you make a toon in game, it becomes the property of NCSoft. In short, if you want to keep the character yours and your copyright, then don't make it in game.

This kind of thing just scares me and makes me all O.O!

I'd be bonding with my child after a birth, not MMOing. Seems kinds messed up not to be spening that time with your child and/or husband.
