  1. ((The Concert will be going ahead tomorrow, despite the war ending today. It'll work like this: Acts will be posted up on here, a bit like was done for the Last Word's tour, so people watching/attending will be able to get an idea for what happened, then comment about it later in game or in other RP. The Last Word will be the final act to perform, and I'll write up some of the acts playing tomorrow))
  2. "Genocide is never the answer when there is the definative chance of peace and change through other efforts." Zorielle said, glancing at Pelire.

Standing up, Zorielle looked over at everyone present. "I have some work to attend to, but if anyone needs me just let me know. I'm looking to set up a concert to help boost morale as well, the Unity Vigil press office will be releasing details about that soon."
  3. Indeed it is! I'm more better with the actual filling in and editing, the setting up and templates is a little more difficult. :$
  4. From the Unity Vigil press office:

    Hello,

The Unity Vigil are looking for local musicians from Paragon City and the Etoile Isles to perform at a concert on Wednesday 8th August at 2pm at Unity Tower.

We are also looking for other entertainers to perform before the concert.

We hope the concert will lift morale, and we are looking to broadcast the perfomances nationally and internationally on Television, Radio and Webcast.

The concert itself in Unity Tower is open to all who wish to attend, and we sincerely hope anyone attending will be mindful and polite to other attendees.

For information or to apply to play, please send an E-mail to:

    Information@UnityVigil.org

((Or post on this thread/PM. Looking to set this up as a series of short contributions from any interested player parties.))
  5. I'm having difficulties with stuff :< Video making isn't as easy as I thought it would be.
  6. List of things I'll be adding: (Mostly for my use, seeing as there's a lot.)

    Places:
The Pits, Kings Row (The Gish): Alternative Bar/Nightclub
Saphos, Steel Canyon (Copper District): Alternative Nightclub
Lakeside Cafe, Atlas Park (Prometheus Park) : Cafe
Unity Tower, Skyway City (Astral District) : Supergroup Building
Rolando Island, South Pacific : Private island, home of the leader and several members of the Unity Vigil.
Paragon Metro Press, Galaxy City (Equinox) : Newspaper Publishers.

There's probably a lot more buildings to add. Also, if people want I could get articles drawn up for some of the major in game stores, like Up-n-Away, Major Flanders, that sort.

Then there's people, events... hmm, unless domiciles are major or used often in plot, perhaps they should be included in subsections in the article of the people who own them? (So say for instance, Storm Sapphire's appartment details would be under his profile, whereas Doctor Temporis' lab would have it's own article.)
  7. I use Paint.NET to fit the Paragon Metro together, using several layers as I piece the article together, importing other images as needed into new layers to fit things together, allowing mistakes to easily be rectified and individual articles to be moved about to fit in. Then, once I've done, I save a copy of it as a Paint.NET file, then flatten it down and save it as a JPG so I have the original and the uploadable version.

Creating the logo, I used the rectangle box, text and imported a logo that I got from the game using a screenshot and made black and white.
  8. Never co-modded a wiki before, but it's something I could give it a shot as. At the moment I do have free time till I start college again, so depends on my workload on my new course for if it'd be viable.

Of course, it'd be best if the emphisis was on people keeping their own articles current and up to date, and the moderators just cleaning up anything else, instead of people relying on the mods for take care of everything.

    [ QUOTE ]
The Galaxy Girl one could be updated/expanded etc. so that it does encompass roleplaying as a whole. The last update listed was back in April, so a discussion with the site owner (Leif_Roar) and the members of the RP community should give a 'Yay' or 'Nay' to the idea.

It just seems silly to me, to start entirely from scratch, when there's already a chunk of the full project sitting there already.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I think it'd be best to start from scratch. There's nothing preventing relevant information from the GG Wiki being copied over to the new one. Sometimes it is best to start anew than rebuilding or modifying.
  9. Hmm, I'd be happy to help out with filling in data entry into a wiki.
  10. "Sound thinking, I'll try and get some of my members out there too." Zorielle nodded, before smiling. "Take care out there, Britanic."
  11. "Indeed. Down in the sewers, we utilzed a plasma diffusion bomb that I have recently created after studying Rikti weaponry with help from Kro'Thek, a Traditionalist Engineer. The radius and cost of the weapon, which will take the power out of any Rikti weaponry, prevents it from being used widescale, but it comes in very handy to take out stockpiles of weapons. Against the dropships... well, I'm working on that." Zorielle said. "I could arrange for a quantity to be given to Council representatives to examine or use on stockpiles."

She decided to wait a little to give the other news.
  12. Zorielle looks over with interest at the mention of a new weapon, tapping on her tablet PC. It also helped jog her memory about the weapons she used the previous night.
  13. Zorielle looks over to Lunk with some concern. "I hope so... anyone else have any news they need to raise? I've got one last bit, but it is nothing major related to our campaign."
  14. Zorielle looks to Erik. "Firstly, there was an invasion of Steel Canyon just past eight o'clock, when we were gathering. They must have had good timing. Their reaction time in the sewer, they were teleporting in behind us, but it was only once we started our retreat that they began to attack en mass, perhaps it took time for them to get the forces together in significant numbers?"

Pausing, Zortel sipped at a glass of water and brushed a few stray locks of hair from her face. "The locket was mentioned due to something one of the psychic heroes with us picked up about it. It was not with the cache of personal items we found, and it radiated an intense feeling of sentiment and emotion for the psychic, signifiying its importance to someone..."

((Heck, we can discuss it and if you want, you can write a piece that I'll post up when the concert happens. Looking to post it on the forums seeing as it's a bit too much work to do in day. End offtopicness. ))

    Events

Fusebox has been reading to orphaned children in Unity Tower.

There are rumours that the Unity Vigil will be holding a concert in Unity Tower, and are looking for muscians, singers and variety acts as well.
  17. Zortel nods and stands, adjusting her jacket.

"Thank you, Britanic. Yesterday, a team of us entered the Abandoned Sewer Network from Steel Canyon. At first, other than Hydra and Circle mages, there was no sign of the Rikti. Making a barter with some of the Circle, I was able to buy us safe passage and information.

A large number of the Rikti had left following the second invasion to bolster troops on the surface, as well as at the mother ship. There are still a considerable number of Rikti below, all having been upgraded with new weaponry and armour.

We discovered stockpiles of this new weaponry as well, that we took out using a Plasma Difuser device that renders the gun unable to work and very difficult to repair. We took out 30 stockpiles in total.

We also discovered containers that contained personal items of civilians, that we have taken to the PPD HQ in Kings Row to be identified, as well as a locket. In addition, we found several tablets of Rikti glyphs, which are being translated by Nene MacAllister of the Guardians of Destiny.

Upon starting to make our way out, Rikti teleported in en masse, and we fought a pitched running battle through the sewer system with no losses, emerging at the Kings Row sewer access terminal by the aquaducts running to the east of the Gish.

Lastly, we came across an oddity in the Sewer system, a section of tunnel which was ice cold, with a film of ice on the wall. Lost and Rikti were found masacred in the tunnel, killed by a variety of means. We aren't sure what did that. While I remember, there was also fighting between Rikti Traditionalist and Ressurectionist Factions that we observed as well."
  18. Zorielle was sat in her chair, wearing the black and white uniform of the Unity Vigil instead of her Zortel Armour. She had a tablet PC on her lap, and was idly dragging her finger across it and double tapping. She looked a little tired, a strand or two of grey noticable in her hair.

    War experiences

Unity Vigil Commander Zortel lead a team into the Abandoned Sewer Network. The team consisted of herself, The Militia/Paragon City Protector's Britanic, Solar Blitz, Sancko, and the Guardian of Destiny's Hikari-Hime and Sara Aegis.

The team entered via the Steel Canyon section of the ASN, and after Zortel bought safe passage and information from the Circle, the six headed into the Subsystem to fight the Rikti. Further in, they found a sight of carnage, the walls cold and covered with a thin film of ice. Moving around that section, they then proceeded to use Plasma Diffusal Bombs to take out 30 Rikti Weapons stockpiles.

The group found Rikti writing on tablets, which were sent to former DATA Rikti Translator Nene MacAllister, as well as cases of personal possesions and a locket. These items were given over to the PPD to be identified. Data can be requested from those on the team with authority from the PPD.

It had been discovered that the majority of the Rikti had left the upper levels of the ASN, leaving the Circle free to capatilze. The Rikti had recieved weapons and logistics from the secondary invasion force, and on the way out, the group began to be persued by teleporting Rikti, and had to fight their way out, emerging in Kings Row tired, with some injuries mostly on Zortel, and covered in effluent.

For some reason in the report made to the Council of War, those who were present on the mission have been given a coupon for ice cream at Unity Tower.
  20. Xander raised his hand. "Umm... question, but what stopped then last time exactly? Did it just take them five years to rebuild a portal? I mean, from the numbers they have for this war, you'd think... well, they'd have the manpower to rebuild something like that."
  21. Xander nods. "The Unity Vigil is already treating and sheltering members of the various criminal organizations in Paragon City, and providing shelter if they behave and help out if possible. One of the groups members, a Peacebringer attatched to the PPD's Awakened Division brought in an injured member of the Void Stalkers, which can be seen as a testament to the Unity Vigil's willingness to assist those in need no matter their creed."
  22. Xander smiled softly. "I'll answer anyway. I'm more of a person handed a gun and asked to look after people, while the others help out more... I am happy with my part though, I am not really much of a fighter." he said, helping load the tray before snagging a cup of tea for himself and returning to his seat.
  23. "Good idea." Xander nodded. "Something strikes me as off about him.. it... everything. I will let my mothers know about that one." he said, pouring some of the hot water from the kettles into cups.
  24. Xander follows Tyger towards the kitchen area, sighing. "Thank you for what you said, but... I am just a graphics artist, I only came here on my mothers behalf because they were busy with vital repairs to Unity Tower and their suits... I know nothing about war or tactics or plans... even though I was built with inherent weaponry." he sighed, talking quietly. "Do you want a hand with the drinks?"
  25. Xander glared at Twilight before turning and starting to leave. "I am sorry, but my mothers confidence in me to carry out this important duty was misplaced. If someone can forward the minutes of the meeting to them, I would be most appriciative, and I will stress to them the importance of arriving in person next time."
