Okay, the OP asked for people to stop, I think the points have been made, please respect the OP's request.
Thank you. -
You'd be surprised, mate, you'd be surprised :-)
-
Well, I know Jen has a car, but why pay double petrol if we can easily fit 5 people into Bertha? ;-)
-
We shall most likely accomodate Jen, Paul and Gid with rides, as we have a comfortable big car, so count Niall and myself in as well. :-)
-
Probably true, yes, also, a lot of us still haven't managed to get a toon to level 50 on CoH. Though most of us have CoV, I don't think we'll be playing much until we can actually commit to playing it.
An SG was created for the GG crowd that wanted to be in the same SG as eachother, and is called the Concorde, but not lot has been done with it. -
Good luck! It has taken me nearly a year to get one character to level 44... Roleplay is the death of leveling! :s
-
By all means do so. :-) If you need advice, feel free to PM me and I shall aid where I can.
Jitze, I think this is a different sort of meet we're talking about, I don't think it is related to what some of the GG folks were planning. :-)
Syra, that took guts, and in turn, if I hadn't made it clear before, some of us do tend to get a bit iffy sometimes because we have too much on our minds, and some of us are a bit short-tempered at times, when really, we should be a lot more patient.
So, when will we be seeing you then? -
Well, as I said, I made a list of those I actually know well enough to judge their characters. I am certain I'll get to the other cards too, eventually, when I have sufficiently talked to all those I've not had that much dealings with.
Now there's a goal to look up to... But it will have to wait for now, as I am really not very well, and after this post, I am most likely going to go to bed. :s -
Okay, I shall have to try and be the voice of reason here... (Yeah, right.)
GG isn't for everyone, this is something that has been established a long time ago, and even caused a slight war at some point, when some of the more enthousiastic GG-ers took it as a personal attack, rather then someone's opinion.
Everyone has their own style, and in all honesty, when many of us are wrapped in various plots, it can get difficult to keep up socialising with people, new or old. I understand that this can be taken as elite, but I can safely say, that as far as I am aware, that is never the intention of any of the GG crowd.
So, to prevent another war of this kind now; Rock Eagle, I am sincerely sorry for your bad experience, and if ever you feel like trying something else then Pocket D, by all means come on to the GGOOC chanel and we'll make sure you feel welcome.
Red; Don't take this personal, but please tone it down a little. As a member of GG you also have the responsibility of keeping it nice and tidy and not engage in flame wars, which this is turning into. You respect that not everyone likes GG. There is no such thing as a better roleplaying style/group in Co*, as it is all in the eye of the beholder/player.
Thank you for listening. -

They've been exclusive, just... with two other people! Besides, Juan stays with Mina despite the bundle of trouble she is. That takes lots of love!
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, but that's one way, Juan makes sacrifices for Mina, but what does Mina do in turn to deserve that, and Juan can't be the Lovers by himself.
(Disclaimer; This is meant as a joke) -
The problem is I have not really been at GG very much the last few weeks, so I have missed a lot of the new-comers and thus don't know their personalities. :-(
Hopefully this will soon change, I would really like to get to know them all better. Then I shall redo the list and include the other cards too. In the mean time, my list is only a suggestion, feel free to make your own. :-) -
Sorry, but Ellie and Grav don't really have an unblemished record of being lovers, and haven't really been exclusive. Neither have Mina and Juan, hence Alex and Sam. ;-)
But she isn't -as- innocent in some areas as Minako, who against all the odds believes in the goodness of people, even when they are beyond hope. No, sorry, Miss Ellie's stuck being a Chariot. -
Because it would just look so cool, with the sheeres and the hat ;-)
Last Judgement, doing it in style. ;-) -
Okay, I too am a bit rusty (not used Tarot for 2 years), but I did use it a lot in my time, so here goes;
I The Magician - War Crow
II The High Priestess - Shadow's Grace
III The Empress - Zortel
IV The Emperor - Alan Drake
V The Hierophant - Doctor Temporis
VI The Lovers - Alex and Sam
VII The Chariot - Miss Ellie
VIII Strength - Sara Aegis
IX The Hermit - Max
X Wheel of Fortune - Memory
XI Justice - Nevermore
XII The Hanged Man - Jason Caine
XIII Death - Jane
XIV Temperance - Grav Mistress
XV The Devil - Dark Stone
XVI The Tower - Prize
XVII The Star - Stargazer
XVIIIThe Moon - Chrysalis
XIX The Sun - Minako
XX The Last Judgement - Gabbleduck
0 The Fool - Jest er
XXI The World - Galaxy Girl
Thoughts anyone? -
I'd actually make Zortel the Empress, and Jest er as the Fool, Crow as the Magician. ;-) I could probably do the whole deck right here and now

Also some of the post made by regualr GG attendents have put me off as there seems to be a bit of a l33t aatitude about the R.P. that gose on there as well (L33T in RP oxymorron I know). These are just my own oberservastion and you might enjoy it but I didnt also so far I still cant come up for a reason for any of my toons to spend half the night chatting under some statues skirts.
[/ QUOTE ]
A leet attitude? I'm very curious to see who, of the regular attendants, have posted in leet. Because I can tell you, all of the regulars who've been around for a long time (if not the start) dispise leet. -
Ah, plot, yes... My initial main on Union was started 23.03.05 ... and she's still level 37! *Cries*
*Ghostly voice* Beware, Syra, don't let the plot hammer hit you! (unless it's good plot, in which case; go for it. ) -
We're not a group as such, and I think the GG crowd is probably the well-known face of roleplay on Union. However, we are defenately not the only ones.
We consist of a group of people, from various Supergroups, who come together to roleplay our characters at 9pm each day, if we so chose (we don't all show up every day).
We're mostly free style roleplayers, meaning there is no DM/GM figure. We run our own plots, which, again, are mostly free style, and free for all to join.
If you want more information, as FFM said, come have a look on the GGOOC channel, or contact any of us through PM or in game. :-) -
Okay, not to be harsh, but having read this, I hope I can give you a few pointers that may help improve your writing;
[ QUOTE ]
Name: Alexander Night
Occupation: Peregrine Island
Job: Portal Corporation researcher
[/ QUOTE ]
I think instead of occupation, you mean location ? For Occupation and Job are one and the same thing. What you are writing now, means that your job is to be the island. :-)
[ QUOTE ]
It was early morning when Alexander woke up. He made himself breakfast as he did always, he dressed up and went out. When he left his apartament building, he saw two heroes fighting some Nemesis troops, he always liked heroes and their way of "clearing up" the city. It was still early morning when he came to Portal Corp. main building. All people he saw were few security guards. As always he went to the main portal room and started to look at the data that came to the main computer over night time.
[/ QUOTE ]
You've used the word 'always' about 3 or 4 times, nearly in every phrase. Try to write it with a little more colour. The usual rule of 'show not tell' applies here. Trust me, many a writer has fallen prey to it, myself included. But for example, you could perhaps consider the following;
It was early morning when Alexander awoke, just after dawn. He got up, and as per usual, made himself some cereal for breakfast before popping into the shower. Once dressed, he checked quickly that he had all his belongings for the day, and left the apartment. On his way to his work, he spotted a couple of heroes engaged in combat with some Nemesis. He stopped in his tracks to watch from a safe distance with a certain awe. Since he had been a young boy, he had liked heroes and the way they cleaned up the city.
But he couldnt spare much time, for he had to be at work on time, and with a soft sigh, Alexander made his way over to the Portal Corp. building. Since it was still relatively early, the only people he came across were a few security guards. He greeted them with a nod and made for Portal Room 4 for his routine tasks over overlooking the data that came in to the main computer over night.
This is just an example.
Also, you say he ends up in Atlas. How did he get there? What kind of costume did he make, how long did it take him, what was his plan of operation?
Try to think as your character, see what they see, use details to make your story come alive.
I hope this helps you. -
Funny you should ask this, as very recently, this subject was discussed amoungst some friends. :-)
Personally, I am what could be considered, at times, a harsh GM/DM. For example, when I know something isn't going to work, but my players insist on going down that path, I will turn around and give them nothing for their efforts. It's like in real life, sometimes, you hit your head against a brick wall. This then hopefully make you think a little differently as a player next time, and perhaps make you come up with different solutions then simply depending on the powers your character have.
I like to think that in doing so, I add to the actual roleplay, by letting them play it out, instead of determining what the outcome is. Even if they don't get what they were after, they had the experience they can tuck under their belt.
However, recently it has been pointed out that I should perhaps tone my harshness down a little, as it is a style that can actually upset players. If that is the case, then I will most certainly do so, because the last thing any DM/GM should do, is upset their players.
Overall, I think it's a matter of give and take, but in my particular case, I think I should have pointed out that I am a relentless GM/DM, it's the way I was taught to do so, and whichever type of GM/DM you are, a warning should always be issued, because the play style of the GM/DM is not always the same as its players, and both parties need to know what they get themselves involved with.

[Edited as the situation has been resolved off screen and I do not want any more misunderstandings from any outside party.]
