Tell you what, Sayterra.
Find undeniable proof that her most recent work is copied from someone else.
Or her last few commission pieces, for that matter.
You can rant and rave all you want over what someone has done in the past, but find me examples that it's still happening, and I might be inclined to take your words with more weight then that of hot air.
Savvy? -
Follow up to that:
Every young artist has to start somewhere - often, that somewhere is copying the styles and images of various other artists that they enjoy the art of in the first place. Not all artists do this, and not all of those that do even realize this fact.
Consider this: Every art class, every 'how to draw' book... Is taught and written from the viewpoint of another artist. You are given examples of how to produce things in a similar style (and in the case of art classes, are usually graded based on the viewpoint of the instructor, and thus colored by what they consider 'art').
Using other people's art as an inspiration point (and creating visually similar works) while searching for your own, particular style isn't something I would consider a bad thing. And Anwyeth's sort of admitted the fact she'd done it. Honesty about this sort of thing, I value only slightly under not doing it in the first place. After all, admitting you did something wrong, and endeavoring to strive towards not doing it is the best we can ask of anyone.
Parting thought: Those that can do, do. Those that can't... critique. -
Very spiffy stuff.
I like how 'clean' everything looks, in particular. Very nice, smooth high-tech feel to it. -
Aw nuts.
I gotta wait until 2pm today for round three to start?
I guess I could try and get a few more levels in the meantime. >.> -
Very swanky stuff!
And I think it's mostly alright to mention it.. as long as actual figures are left out of the equation.
Stuff like this makes me wish I had a jorb again. :/ Ah well, soon enough! -
Yuh..
This was a really hard pallet. I originally had a red/green theme, but then decided I didn't like how it turned out, and used black as the primary color instead.
I like how most of it turned out, buuuut... she's in for a major costume revision down the line, for sure. -
Very nice piece!
It really makes me want to bust out Lego Star Wars.. :O -
Whew. That was a lot of stuff.
I really liked how the ones by Holly Bell turned out!
*Scribble.* >.> <.< -
Don't worry about it for this piece.
I just wanted to point it out for if you do another piece later on with a similar theme. -
Sorry. Still getting my morning caffeine down. That, and I suck at explaining things anyway.
What I meant was.. maybe have some of the Night Widows amongst the Wolf Spiders, and vice versa. When you cluster up mobs like that, they tend to sort of blend together in their ravening hunger for your flesh (or soul, as the case may be).
As I said, though, it was a really minor thing. Only pointed it out as a future reference point! -
Very nice piece.
I debated on whether I was gonna mention this or not, but it'd been a bit better if there'd been a bit more of an 'organic' look to the ambush spawn. Having them all seperated seems a little unrealistic to me...
But that's honestly a minor thing, and hence why I debated whether I was even going to point it out. Still a very nice piece despite that. -

They're on-stage later, Aunt Slappy.

I just want to know the name of the band! -
Grats to the winners of the last round!
Went through and did something I like a bit more. It's not perfect, but it's acceptable.

Probably should have found a better lit area... but, well. There's more time for cheesecake shots later, right?
Now I just need to hammer out a backstory. Arrrrgh. -

I need an Avatar and I want a unique fan made Avatar. So that every time I see that Avatar I'm reminded why I do my Job, because you guys make this game great.
I'll pick my favorite submission March 31st.

Too bad you're looking for an avatar and not a full-out poster. If you were looking for a portrait, I'd be all over this.
[/ QUOTE ]
Pssst, hey Blue, jump on this opportunity..... like now lol and as a bonus you could prolly make a avatar cropped from the poster and such.

This.

The other thing.

Which other thing?
The one with the stuff, or the one with the junk?
Now I'm all confuzzled. -
Very sexy!
I'd make a perverted joke here, as per usual, but... Well. I can't think of anything PG.
But, the thought was there! -

Concurance. -
Hmm... I have a preference for the first one.
Second one seems a bit too girly-girly. -
Very spiffy!
Definately looks like a preview poster for a movie, or something.
(Retroactively attached to this post is one (1) hand brace and ice packet.) -
Final round, people!
DUN DUN DUUUN!
And, once again, I'm quite confident I'm boned for winning. There's just so many great costumes! -
I dunno, for a trace... you actually managed to copy some of the details that are harder to see in the screenie pretty darn well.
Wish I could trace that well. -
Very spiffy!
It's kind of neat to see it go through all the stages of art-dom.
And it turned out really great, too! But, then.. Sort of figured it would. -

Ah yes, the sacrifices one does for art. *nods enthusiastically*

I know what you mean.
I have to force myself to thumb through lingerie catalogues and the like to get a better perspective on the subtle curves and shapes of the female form.
...what do you mean that has nothing to do with writing?! -

Why do I have the image of Juggertha in a drum pit, going Animal all over it?
Most. Metal. Drummer. EVER. -
Clearly, Anwyeth, this is an excuse for you to.. ah, properly study the female form.
Specifically the posterior.
I mean, it's for art, right? -
...I think my heart just melted a bit.
Or a similarly related organ.
Swanky!
