  1. Great offer Canine, best of luck to you.

Unfortunately I've got my hands full with workthings this weekend, otherwise I would so be there. It's been a while since I joined one of your Sunday TFs...
  2. [ QUOTE ]
My tank was introduced straight to Tobias Hanson by Stephanie Peebles. It seems that Long Jack is not a necessary contact.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, this is usually the case for my alts - I'm not sure if I've ever done Long Jack's arc all the way through...
  3. We were kicking so much butt at lvl 15, I doubt Posi will be a hassle. More a chore...
  4. A TF is definitely on the cards at some point, but right now I'm worried about outlevelling all the Striga (not to mention Croatoa) content. But we could always go back and do a TF we've already hit the level cap on, I guess.

Another concern is the length of some of the Hero TFs. It may be more prudent to split those TFs over 2 weeks, but then players need to be able to show for both weeks.

Actually - I think that while we're at 2-3 teams, the best plan may be to go with a staggered method:

One team each week does a TF (or stagegrs it over two, if everyone in the team can do so), while the others continue normal missions. The normal team will be able to pick up latecomers and split to make room, if need be. Then once the TF team is done with their task, they become the normal team and repeat the content the other team has already done, while the others form a TF team and go at the TF they missed out on.

That way there'll always be at elast one team present to look out for latecomers, folks who can't make every week, etc. Just a thought, but seems a more flexible approach to me.

That was some of the sloooooooowest herding i've ever seen

    [/ QUOTE ]

On that occasion, I didn't trust my unslotted Glacial Armor to sustain me and so kept my CE on for the -dam debuffs. The herd got there eventually though (more or less).

    [ QUOTE ]
Lass would do her best to herd up a mob, the slow powers would hit them a little too early and then they would run at about 1 mph towards Lass' herd spot. Lass would then run around like a loon trying to get them all together.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I took Superspeed specifically for this tactic. Zipping around with CE and Icicles on seems a faster way to taunt a large groups than relying on taunts and SMASH, to me at least. It does look a bit weird with me dancing around them all, I know. But I look busy!!

    [ QUOTE ]
Lol, I know Lass would be running round the room follwed by a slow mob, In our (Storn Summoners) defence we didn't know how many he was tying up, on many occasions we would use snow storm when he passed the first mob and he would keep going "Run Forest Run" (you had to be there)

    [/ QUOTE ]

Hehehe! In my defence, I always warn my teammates before I choose to herd and I would NEVER EVER herd just one group (there's no point since it's slower than general play, and what's more I don't think one group qualifies as a 'herd'! ). So you will see me dash through one mob to taunt them with Icicles (and sometimes CE), before heading to others, then circling back on myself or leading them all round a corner.

No worries, I know you guys are just poking fun! If I was too bothered about tactics I'd be a bit stricter with the "no attacking until I say so" rule. If we observed that tactic correctly, the victims would be bunched into much tighter, potentially larger, groups and less likely to break aggro when the mass AoE hits.

But no matter, we've yet to be in an encounter strict enough to necessitate "Go Time" so I'm fine with itchy trigger fingers for the most part. The most important thing is making sure when you guys plow in with your AoE, you don't get severely hurt.
  6. While our team seemed to head through the misssions at a slower pace, we ended up at the exact same level, with almost all of us 24 (and myself 2 bars from 25).

We finished Faultline but haven't begun striga yet. We may miss out on Weding Band unless we Orobitidobbity it, but that's no problem.

    Great night, great teaming.

Next week we meet... in Striga, somwehere I guess. Where's a convenient meeting spot?
  7. Looking forward to tonight (hopefully the Global Chat server isn't down again).

Hopefully we'll get Faultline finished and get cracking on Striga today. I love that crazy island...
  8. Perhaps, but if we do miss any temp powers in story arcs, we can always get them with flashback.

I'd rather finish the Faultline arcs frist, myself, since the final mission is lots of fun.

Our team ended the evening on level 21-22 as well. We unlocked Agent G but didn't start his missions, though we did get the Steel Canyon safeguard done.

It was fun tanking for my team, they kept things nice and chaotic for me. After hectic beginnings we meshed well with very few hiccups later - and I got to do a couple fo stupidly big herds so I'm happy!

Plus with five Snowstorms in the team, we ensured that any AV that happened along would be completely indistinguishable on screen!

The meeting point for next Monday will be Mirror Spirit, again.
  9. Yeah that was great fun. Cheers everyone for showing up.

    Must do that again sometime.

Oh and I respecced Mea, but I'm not convinced I haven't gimped her utterly, so I may respec Stamina back in again before the next time we meet up...
  10. Yep, we're continuing with the Faultline arc tonight. The meeting place is in the same place as last week, by Mirror Spirit.
  11. I'll hopefully see you guys in game shortly.
  12. ITF is also an option, though I think we'll need a little time to unlock Cimerora beforehand...

Sorry you can't make it UW, but sounds like you'll be having a good time on Saturday regardless!
  13. Okay, as I said earlier, the Trapeprs will be meeting this weekend, I hope. Saturday the 21st (not the 23rd as I said earlier), starting from 3pm.

What exactly is on the cards depends on how many can make it. Ideally it would be great to do a TF - another crack at the LGTF especially.

Let me know if you can make that date or not.
  14. It might not hurt to leave the cape, cossie and safeguard missions until the week after next, since there are still folks who are not yet lvl 20. I figure we'll be at most lvl 23-24 after next week, still in range for the safeguard, and of course there's no limit on when the cape and cossie missions can be done.

Seeing how the 20-25 range is really tight for content anyhow, it might be better to leave the non-urgent stuff (cape/cossie) for later, or even leave folks to do that in their own time.

Anyway, it was a good night last night, very productive.

Personally I managed to find lvl 20 and lovely lovely Stamina - though my tank's still without Glacial Armor and a travel power. Fortunately with the amount of Defenders in the group (especially Colds) I can probably survive a little longer without GA...
  15. Noir did a dandy job of leading one of the teams last week.

Anyway... I managed to get an early train back, so I will be able to make it tonight after all. See you in Faultline!
  16. The meeting place for next week will be Faultline, around Mirror Spirit.

Radio missions there will yield the Steel Safeguard, and once that's complete the Faultline arcs will be next.

I may or may not be able to make it next week - I really won't know for sure until next Monday. So don't be surprised if I'm not there. I'm sure Canine will do fine in coralling you all without me.
  17. I'll be seeing you all tonight then.

The meeting place will be the inside the Hollows, near David Wincott.
  18. Sorry to hear you'll have to miss out again, Vahiki. Maybe next time eh?

Deadly_Buzz, you're of course welcome to come along if you can make it. We're not too fussed about team slots right now, since we had 3-4 teams last week!

You have good taste in puns.
  19. Sure, come along next week! If you want to earn a few lvls in preparation for Monday (say lvl 6-8), that would be awesome too.
  20. I could put up my script, plus emotes, if you want to act it out on your own, somewhere private...

The heckles and reactions were fantastic. Fo'shizzle!
  21. Superb work everyone, it was a brilliant start. Special thanks to the other team leaders who obviously kept things running nice and smoothly.

Next week we'll swap the teams round a bit. The meeting place will be inside the Hollows by the Atlas Park entrance, near David Wincott.

We just gotta take out Frostfire. Since the Sewer Network hunt was so much fun, we could try hunting in the Hollows Tunnels too...

Oh and congrats to Blap Zap for winning the costume contest!
  22. I certainly do plan on that.

My own fault for being so distracted this past week that I haven't even found the time to post a debrief in this thread just yet.

I'm busy for the next two weekends, but I would love to get the Trappers together for the weekend after that (Sat 23rd June) for a TF, or just some mad XP.
  23. Awesome. Sorry I didn't post this morning - had net troubles before work, but all seems good to go now.

I'll see you all in Atlas Park at 7pm!

    Tonight we will hopefully have:
    <ul type="square">[*]Street hunting[*]Sewer hunting[*]Radio missions in Kings Row[*]The first Safeguard[*]A tiny teeny lump of Hollows[*]Plus a costume contest![*]And a badly-written speech by yours truly![/list]
  24. Great idea Alphane!

Actually after checking my main, I can front the 1 million prize no worries, but if people want to donate even more to the winning pot that would be cool too!
