If they keep banning people for being smarter than the devs I'll be gone sooner than that.

Yes we ran a stalker team.... easy was the only team to not. and i have said many times I like stalker teams. All ways have. We also were playing our live builds in that kick off event. Ah well..... We can go round and round like this. Only way is to put it to a vote of leaders from teams.
LoLVirtue votes no to banning a power that is not broken or bugged. -
I like the idea of letting it stew for a month or so. doing 4-5 offical matches is not enough to say this sucks lets start baning stuff. and yes spec i blew the banning comment out of preportion to make a point.

And no blasters.... or blaster but you cant have aim and bu in the build because that +Damage is broken...... Wait Lets just ban all ranged damage sets too. oh wait 2nd though lets all play "Man" build tanks. remember those? that would be SWEET -
I just dont see people looking at the res as replacing the 3 players we are no longer using. People are used to playing either 2 sonic teams(Blue) or 2 therm 1 sonic teams (red) both types of play put the team at res cap and had to use other ways around it. Blue ended up with a lot of 0-0 ties or 1-0 wins the red side ladder had higher scoring games because of unresisted A/S and Scourge. People moaned about res caped teams on blue side but had unresisted debuffs to counter it but still ended up with super low scoring matches. Where red side it was the norm. Just because you "cant" play your blasters does not make for a broken ladder and no way another team will work other than 2 stalker 1 therm 1 emp 1 FFer. For one with PvP IOs the FFer becomes a little less valuable, because forcebolt cant KB. Pre PvP IOs you could slot enough KB protection to protect vs anything else.
If anyone can think of a team that can shut down a stalker and get kills with out them I believe that it would be this crew. The innovative people that have tweeked and played some of the most effective teams in ladder PvP. -
It would be nice to hear one way or the other from RPvP

If we start baning unbroken powers I want nothing to do with it. Bugs i can see banning. Broken powers ie. Veng I can see being banned. Now a patron shield being banned because people want to play their old blue side ladder again...... Count me out.

I'm all down for finding the happy center. I just have a problem going from one end of the spectrum to the other
The funny thing is the red side ladder was so diverse in the teams people brought but there was always stalkers for the damage. it was just the things around them that made it diverse. -
I agree it would open up the team options but then we would have to up the team size again. Putting more buffers on a team would drop your damage output. right now the +res everyone gets acts like the 3 people that "would" be on the team making it that way.

Also tell me that a 8v8 "mixed" ladder would not just be a 8v8 blue side ladder if stalkers are removed? Do we really want to go down that road again? -
So fail. If people dont want to spend the time working out teams to beat caped res i feel sorry for them. Coming from the red ladder pre i12 every team we faced and ran were at the res cap to all. finding out ways to get around that was not easy but not out of the reach of a slightly above average IQ person. (Read 110IQ)
Now we just dont need the 3-4 players buffing to keep the team at that high res. this in many ways opens up how many teams can have rosters and do matches. hell 6-8 people could have a team on the ladder now. more teams=good. where it was a small roster before if you could not do 8v8 internals.
I guess I'm lucky because my entire test view has been stalkers=team damage. double A/S=Holy Grail. Even when forts hit the scene i viewed them as more +res, +def +tohit from mind link and support damage to the 1-2 stalkers we still ran. So building teams around this idea is not a unheard of concept, or far from my line of thinking. -

because my corr should be able to stand still and fight a scrapper toe to toe with out buffs d and debuffs thats why. that jumping around and multi tasking primary and secondary stuff is way too hard. zomg scrappers are OPed and my poor corr speced for support keeps getting killed by them
