Hamidon raids take place in a fixed zone, no loading screens, and it's a moment when a large group of players gather to accomplish a common goal. This is what makes it a great opportunity for players to socialize. For the people who participate (or participated) in the raids Hamidon raiding is (or was) part of their (virtual) social lives. It's because Hamidon raiding (like the LGTF) motivate people to team together that it's important to keep these things running.

I can appreciate that the devs have a lot on their plate but it is important for them to address the issues that make specific kinds of group play unpopular or unrewarding. Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games are generally designed to favor group play so when a bug restricts this kind of play it seems to me that fixing it should be a priority. In my opinion what's important here is not assigning blame but finding a solution and implementing it.
I agree completely, and I hope it didn't appear that I was blaming Castle or anyone in particular for the problem. However, he was the dev that responded earlier in the thread that he would be fixing it "early" this week, so I addressed the question to him specifically.

I don't care who actually fixes the problem....as long as it gets fixed. And the sooner, the better.
  2. Despite saying that he would have the problem fixed early this week, the fact that yesterday's patch notes did NOT include a fix to the green mito bug indicates that Castle has not gotten around to it as of yet. Therefore, there will be no raid tonight.

Tune in here for updates as they become available.

It's past "early next week"...since this wasn't listed in the patch notes from yesterday, I'm guessing that this didn't get done yet. Any idea on an actual fix date, Castle?

Yes, we encountered the problem during our regular guild Hami raids. And yes, it is screwed up there, just like in the mission version. The "bug" that Castle found was in the hold protection, which is listed incorrectly in the LGTF version. But there is another bug which is causing the green mito's regenerative aura not to drop when it's held. Castle is supposedly fixing the problem the beginning of next week. I'll let you know once we've verified it.

  6. The Twilight Avengers had planned to announce the next redside Hamidon raid following the release of i17. Unfortunately, along with i17 has come a bug that currently prevents a successful Hamidon raid.

The green mitos have a bug (which also shows up in the LGTF version of the mito) that makes them virtually impossible to take down. They are either impossible to hold (despite having the same numbers for protection and resistance as in previous issues) or continue to have 90% resistance to everything and an incredibly high regen rate even after they are held.

Our guild has bugged this en masse, and I'm hoping that everyone else will do so as well--whether you encounter it in the Hive/Abyss or in the LGTF. I'll post when there is a resolution, but until then, there will be no raids.

    Devs, a little help please...

On Lady Grey Task Force we could not get past the green healing mito's. One of the teammates used a power analyzer on it and said they saw 50 hold protection listed for it. With 2 controllers spamming holds and rest of team trying to spike damage one for 10 minutes we had to give up.

Just wondering if its intentional or not. Thanks.
If it is, then it needs to be revisited. The same thing is happening in the regular Hamidon in the Hive. All of the numbers are the same for the green mitos as they have been for a number of issues (-50 for hold protection, not 50, with 66.7% resistance), but it either was not getting held (despite having more than enough holds) or the 90% resistance and regen was not being turned off when it was held. In either event, it makes the Hamidon all but impossible, so I certainly hope it's a bug that will get fixed quickly. It is, after all, the only real end game content we've got.
  9. I've already posted in the Hamidon thread that we will not be raiding Wednesday in deference to the release of i17. We have attempted it at the release of the previous two issues, and there weren't nearly enough folks to do so. Rather than waste an hour waiting to see if there would be sufficient numbers, I just decided to call it.

Of course, someone else is more than welcome to lead one, since the strat we use is posted in that same thread. However, I can speak for myself and a number of TA folks and say that many of us won't be there. If anyone else decides to do so, feel free to drop me a line here or in-game before then if you have questions.
  10. I know him, and will make sure he gets your message.
  11. Thanks to everyone who came out for the raid last night. We had a reasonable spawn time, and then took Hami down in a very crisp 32 minutes....and with only 38 people. Outstanding work by everyone involved.

Special thanks as always to the support folks on my team, as well as to my team leaders: Kerithrion, Justice Maker, Maligne, Ms. Meltdown, and Fake 'n Bake. Kudos for a very smoothly run raid!

With the announcement that i17 will go live next Wednesday, we will not be raiding. So get out and enjoy that new shiny stuff, and we'll see you in two weeks!
  12. Thanks to everyone who came out for the raid tonight. We had a looong spawn tonight, as well as some late arrivals that caused some delays (getting them on appropriate teams). But despite the delays, we still completed Hami in 43 minutes.

Thanks to the support folks on my team, as always, as well as my team leaders: Golden Rays, Amadaeus Muse, Maligne, Kerithrion, and Ms. Meltdown.

Hope to see you there next week!

    Hello Guardian

Welcome to the server. I touched base with one of your folks tonight in the Hive (Hedgy Hogg, I believe), so I'm sure you'll be getting the message if you haven't received it already. I or one of my guildmates typically lead the Wednesday night Hamidon raids on blueside at 9:30 eastern, and we're always glad to see new folks come out and participate. We start forming up by 9:15, and the zone usually fills, so plan accordingly.

Hope to see some of you there!
  14. Thanks to everyone who came out for the raid last night. We had a lot of damage, and after a reasonable spawn were able to drop Hami in 31 minutes. Gratz to Sleight of Hand who got the kill shot on Hami and picked up somewhere in the 30-60 mil range in rewards.

As always, thanks to the support folks on my team, along with my team leaders: Kiddygrade, Celtic Apparition, Sausage Toes, Justice Maker, SpiderJerusalem, and Kerithrion.

See you next week...and yes, we still start at 9:30, though the crowd starts showing up at least 15 minutes early, and many times the zone is full (or close to it) by then.
  15. Thanks to everyone who came out. We had a longish spawn time, but then were able to get through with relatively few problems and complete it in 52 minutes.

Gratz to those who had not previously raided the Hamidon. Also, we unfortunately had some folks who dc'd during the raid and were not able to get back in because the zone was full. This is an unfortunate side effect of having a full zone worth of toons all in a very tight space, all using their powers at the same time. Part of it is the equipment each individual works with, and part of it is a lack of server stability (which only the devs can improve). Hopefully, if you were one of these, you will give it another try when we next raid (if your equipment can handle it).

And yes, the Twilight Avengers will be running another of these in the near future. I'll post the date here when it is official. Hope to see you there!
  16. Yah, I'm sorry there's a conflict, but as Lemur pointed out, this raid has been planned and announced for a little bit longer than the Pinnacle Cup.

That said, if the attendance is as good as it was at the last one of these we sponsored, we'll likely do another in a month or so. So those who miss out on the Hami raid because they're PvPing will get another chance, if they choose.

    Good luck in the Cup.
  17. Just a reminder that we are less than a week out from the Twilight Avengers' next sponsored redside Hamidon raid. Start time is 9:30 EST next Wednesday night, so plan accordingly. If you have multiple toons at raid level (45+) and would like to know which would be best to bring, please send me a message on these forums. Thanks!
  18. Thanks to everyone for coming out for the raid last night. We had a longer spawn, but then a very efficient 33-minute raid.

Special thanks as always to the support folks on my team, in addition to the team leaders: Ascended Avenger, Maligne, Atomic Noise, Golden Rays, and Celtic Apparition.

Neither I nor any other members of the Twilight Avengers will be available to lead the raid next week, as we'll be leading a public raid on Pinnacle server (redside). So if someone else would like to step up, go for it!

    See you in two weeks!
  19. Thanks to everyone who came out for a special "Going Green" version of our weekly Hami raid in honor of St. Patty's Day. In celebration of the event, the Twilight Avengers gave 120 mil in influence to the person with the Hami kill shot. How appropriate that it turned out to be someone on a toon named Seamus O'Morgan!

Thanks as always to the support folks on my team, as well as to my team leaders: Golden Tower, Vorador, Ms. Meltdown, Flambouyant, FBReborn, and Sausage Toes.

See you next week for our regular, non-green, raid!
  20. Just a reminder that we are two weeks out from the Twilight Avengers' next sponsored redside Hamidon raid. Start time is 9:30 EST, so plan accordingly. Glad to be of service.
  22. The latest patch that supports Dual Pistols was a bit different from recent patches. As such, they said to go to www.cohtitan.com and reload the game directly from there, rather than using the in-program updater. I'm guessing that whatever makes that necessary may be messing you up when doing it from cohplanner.com. So I'd try it from the cohtitan website and see if that works.

    Good luck!
  23. Since next week is St. Patrick's Day, we're "Going Green". So for next week's Hami raid, I'm inviting everyone to show up with a green costume of some kind. If we can't have green beer, we'll wear green as we get our Jell-o shots.

Please do bear in mind that capes, wings, auras, and trenchcoats add to the lag that everyone has to deal with, so please do your best NOT to include these elements in your costumes. Thanks!
  24. Thanks to those who came out and participated in the Hami raid this evening. Despite once again having to deal with a few folks who just can't play well with others, we had a fairly quick spawn and then an efficient 33-minute raid.

Thanks to Zandrea, who had to be my sole support toon for the evening, as well as my team leaders: DESTROIKA, Ms. Meltdown, Golden Rays, Kiddygrade, and Celtic Dragon.

Hope to see you there next week!
  25. Thanks to everyone who came out and participated this evening. Despite having to deal with some folks who had to run their own team, rather than follow the strat like everyone else, we were still able to take Hami down in a very efficient 35 minutes. There were also a few first-timers along, so gratz to you for your first Hami raid!

As always, special thanks to the support folks on my team, as well as to my team leaders:
Vorador, Kiddygrade, Golden Rays, Celctic Apparition, and Grim Maligne.

Hope to see you next week!
