Daonri saw the static racing down H'taed's leg and floated slightly up off the ground. As she did she reversed the telekinetic field around H'taed and now the robot. She pushed them both DOWN. Along with the robot's jets, it would probably send them through the floor.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Aoleleb took the blast of lightning right in the face. Thanks to the fact that stone doesn't conduct electricity however, he was fine. He turned his attention back to Shimmer, realizing that he couldn't damage SD nor she him. A small blade of stone formed in his hand, which he chucked at Shimmer's head. -
*clink* The sword merely glanced off Aoleleb's granite armor.
"Hi there."
Aoleleb reached down with one hand and grabbed a lone power cord. He unplugged it and grabbed the pronged end, which he shoved towards SD.
((Don't know if this will work, but if she's made of static it should at least do SOMETHING.))
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Doanri whirled around as she heard H'taed's voice. She had forgotten she had left him trapped.
"This might be fun."
And then she started flinging H'taed around the room. Slamming himk into walls, cielings, robots, etc.
((Has there ever been a person you wished you could do that to? )) -
((I'd like to point out that you a) Did not announce there was a Carbon Spark flying towards me and b) Did not give me a chance to react. I believe that falls under the category of god-modding Diov...))
Daonri looked at the new carbon copy of herself, deflecting the beam of energy in the process.
"Heh. This fool hopes to defeat me with myself? How cliche."
All of a sudden, Aoleleb turned toward the SD. A portal opened at arm-height for him, from which he pulled out a sword. An electrical current was running down the blade. ((Look familiar? )) Using his gargantuan strength, Aoleleb flung the sword at SD. ((You should know what happens if this hits Nether. )) -
Daonri siezed her one chance that H'taed had given her by remaining visible for more than a few seconds. As H'taed's arm descended it suddenly stopped, along with the res of his body. As Daonri grabbed H'taed, the bursts of energy from Shimmer's axe curved around Doanri and Falcon like water going around a rock.
"Now I've got you."
((Oh and Shimmer, Aoleleb threw another control panel at you as Daonri shot that lance. Read the post again.)) -
((She's NOT a succubus Diov. ))
Seeing as H'taed was nowhere to be seen, Daonri decided to go after the only other target in the room. Aoleleb seemed to be keeping him occupied as he ripped another control panel from the wall and chucked it at Shimmer, but he didn't seem to be doing much damage. Focusing her psionic powers into a small beam, Daonri sent a psionic lance hurtling right towards Shimmer -
The bullets merely bounced off the armor of granite surrounding Aoleleb. He turned to look at the little gnat who had shot them. One thought crossed his mind.
"Squishy..."
Aoleleb punched his hands into the wall and tore out what looked to be like some sort of control panel and chucked it at Shimmer.
Meanwhile, the mud bombs flew toward Falcon Strike and Daonri. I still honestly have no idea how H'taed knew they were there, as they were both invisible.
Anyways, as the mud bombs neared the two invisible intruders, they suddenly veered off and smashed into the nearby assault drone. ((Have a taste of your own telekinetic medicine!)) -
((Portal teleportation ftw! Portals can get you almost anywhere. (I wouldn't try getting to Amadren with them though. That could get nasty )))
-
((Yea, that big kaboom is kind of annoying. It'd be nice if you made it smaller. And since it'd be kind of annoying to have to post everytime falcon moves, assume Daonri is following him.))
-
"H'TAED!!"
The granite-encased form of Aoleleb stood in the doorway. His hammer was in his hands, and if you could have seen his eyes, they would've been filled with murder. He started swinging his hammer into midair. When it was about halfway down, he opened a portal inside himself. He reappeared behind H'taed with his hammer about .0000000001 centimeters from H'taed's head. (())
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Daonri had been watching Amadren's screens since he had started making the energy orb, which was now about the size of a baseball. As Falcon Strike muttered a plea for help into midair, she thought it might be fun to drop in on the party. She walked through the portal on the wall and reappeared right beside Falcon Strike. ((She has this odd power where she can see the "minds" of people unless they're stealthed really well.))
"Hello there Falcon Strike. Sounded like you could use some help." She smiled at him in an almost human way and then activated her own invisibility powers. -
Amadren watched through one of his arcane drones as the battle progressed. A small movement in Shimmer's base caught his eye.
"So they want to play the doomsday device game do they? Very well."
Amadren snapped his fingers his imp servant appeared at his side.
"Open a portal and get Aoleleb out of there.I don't care where you send him, but get him out of that device's range."
The imp bowed and vanished with a small *poof*. As he did, Amadren started meditating. If people were starting to make powerful tools, maybe he should start as well. As he meditated a small orb of energy started to form in the air in front of him.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Aoleleb struggled harder against the telepath's powers, but all it did was make him even more tired. As he had given up all hope of getting free, a small portal opened inside him and he was whisked away.
He reappeared inside the magnetic force field surrounding Shimmer's base! The rocks around his feet crumbled into dust as he made his way inside. -
"You idiot! Pay attention!"
Aoleleb snapped back to reality as Daonri's voice rang in his ears. The boulders he had envisioned were gone, and he was still stuck. He struggled as hard as he could against his invisible bonds to no avail. But the rock and device were still flying towards Charles! -
((Ummmm, yea, read that last post. I teleported away (with a portal if you wanted to know). I'm almost absolutely certain a) There is a maximum distance or b) it gets harder to hold the farther away I am.))
-
Aoleleb saw the drone and molten rock flying towards Charles. He grinned, and with a small flash of light he vanished. He reappeared a good distance from Charles.
"I'm done playing games!"
With a mighty roar, Aoleleb brought up granite from deep within the earth. It encased him in a massive suit of granite armor. Some othewr rocks encased his legs to prevent him from being moved without him wanting to be.
"You're finished!"
With a mighty effort, he wrenched a boulder the size of 2 school buses out of the ground and hurled it at Charles. -
((Hehe, nice try H'taed. You may want to check the post where I came after you.))
And then all of a sudden Charles psi-spike dissapated. ((Earth Armor psi-protection ftw!!!)) Aoleleb was sucked into the ground below the cube and spit out behind Charles
"Nice try." Aoleleb growled
And then his hammer descended right toward Charles' head. -
The mud bomb on Aoleleb's chest exploded in a brilliant flash of light, energy, and explosive force. It blew Aoleleb back a good ways but he jumped back up again like he hadn't even felt it. H'taed was no where to be seen, but there seemed to be someone else to play with. Aoleleb turned towards Charles as a few crystals floated up out of the ground and started to hover around his head. A hammer of solid magma wrechned itself from the ground at Aoleleb's feet and floated to his hands.
"Let's play!"
And with that he flew towards Charles. -
Aoleleb streaked across the sky toward Shimmer's base. One word stood out in his mind from all other thought.
"H'taed..."
He reached SHimmer's base and floated above the battle between Charles and H'taed. As he saw the latter, the ground around Shimmer's base literally exploded with the amount of energy coming from Aoleleb.
"H'TAED!!!"
Aoleleb streaked toward H'taed at the speed of sound, his hammer of stone materializing in his hand. At the same time, four boulders ripped themselves out of the ground from the four compass points and flew towards the battered Avatar.
((I don't know why I decided to do this, but Aoleleb's only purpose right now is to destroy H'taed. Once he's destroyed he'll switch to someone else)) -
"I'd avoid him if I were you Falcon Strike. Daonri's driven him totally insane. He's pretty much a berserker now. He'll destroy anything or anyONE that gets in his way. If I know Daonri like I think I do, he's probably headed for the nearest hostile structure." Amadren pointed to Shimmer's base out on the horizon.
As Amadren saw a little explosion over by Shimmer's base, he added "On second thought, there seems to be quite a bit going on there. Maybe you should head there too. -
Amadren looked up at Falcon Strike and merely nodded in reply. As he did so Xivilai streaked back into the room and assumed his tangible form. In his hands was a small red gem, about the size of an eight ball. It was glowing with a faint red light. Amadren reached out and took the gem from Xivilai. It was unmarked and perfectly round. All in all it looked like an interesting bauble, but nothing more. Amadren tossed it up in the air where it seemed to stop and hover right below the ceiling, casting an eerie red glow on everything.
Daonri turned around having finished with Aoleleb. With a snap from Amadren's fingers, the chains surrounding him flew back into the walls.
"So brother, how do you feel?"
"I feel...Hungry!"
A bestial roar rose from Aoleleb's mouth with the ferocity of a hurricane. The mere force of it blew the lone window in the room to pieces. Thundering across the room, Aoleleb jumped out of the window and flew off into the distance.
Amadren snapped his fingers and the window repaired itself. "Good job Daonri. You're dismissed." -
The 2 invisible contestants passed each other without even realizing it. Aoleleb was finally in Amadren's meditation room! Amadren was sitting on the floor apparently preforming some kind of ritual. Aoleleb started sneaking up toward Amadren. As he did he could make a few mumbled words.
"Azarath Tumetrion Thaseerus Hokthar Muromra Onod Iktharis..." As he hit the last word in the incantation Amadren jumped up, spun around, threw out his arm and roared "DREHMORA!!!"
Chains flew out of the walls, ground and ceiling and held Aoleleb in place! The chains were made out of Inphantium, an unbreakable metal, and no matter how much he struggled he could not free himself.
"Well, well, well. Look who's here. And you were always considered the smart one. Yeah right!"
"What do you want Amadren? You knew I was coming all along, didn't you?"
"Guilty as charged. I actually have a use for you, imagine that, and have trapped you to enact my plan.
As he said this, a woman in a long, flowing, purple dress decloaked right behind Aoleleb.
"I'd like you to meet one of my friends..."
"...Don't you mean demons?"
"Both actually. This is Daonri. She's a powerful telepathic demon with a unique penchant for taking over minds." Amadren put a light stress in this last part.
Aoleleb's eyes widen with fear as he realized what was about to happen! He struggled desperately against the chains to no avail. Daonri descended upon him like a vulture does a piece of carrion.
As Daonri dealt with Aoleleb, Amadren scanned the land outside his window. A faint red glint caught his eye. Amadren sent a thought to Xivilai, who ripped apart from his shadow and streaked out the window. -
Amadren nodded with satisfaction as Falcon Strike signed the contract.
"Good. As of right now, I don't have anything for you to do. Just go out and kill whoever looks threatening. You'll know when I need you."
Amadren turned to look out the window of his meditation room. He gasped, so quietly that Falcon Strike wouldn't hear him, but he gasped all the same. He turned back to Falcon Strike
"But if you see a man in a black robe, leave him alone. He's mine!"
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Aoleleb looked around him at the behemoths scattered on the ground. He'd carelessly forgotten that Amadren could summon weaker minions that served as guards. Fortunately for him, the Behemoths had carelessly forgotten to report his presence to Amadren. The air around Aoleleb bent to deflect light waves, effectively making him invisible. He started up toward the top of Amadren's tower. -
Amadren's attention flickered to one of his screens as Falcon apparently considered the partnership. Charles had emerged from his magma dome and Xivilai and Shimmer were no where to be seen. Amadren let out a demonic curse and turned toward the portal that shimmered on the wall. He focused his energies and the portal started to glow with an intense brightness.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Xivilai stood in a defensive stance in front of the gore monster. This could end up being bad. As the monster started to move forward, Xivilai noticed a distinct...weightlessness around of his body. He looked down and realized he was being summoned to another location.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
The portal stopped glowing as Xivilai was wrenched through it. In front of him was a very angry looking Amadren.
"I'm going to assume I won't have to do that again."
Xivilai looked down at the floor and nodded an affirmative. Amadren pointed at his own shadow and Xivilai understood his punishment. He sank into the ground and merged with Amadren's shadow.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Aoleleb reappeared in the lava zone as he realized that the forest fight was over. He looked in the distance and saw a large medival tower looming in the distance. With the sense of dread that comes with unwanted recognition, he flew toward it. -
Aoleleb reappeared in the middle of the burning forest
"That idiot!"
Aoleleb reached out his arms and bands of stone about 10 feet tall started ripping themselves out of the ground and smothering the flames. A large block also popped out of the ground underneath falling tree headed toward Burning and lifted back up.
After all the trees were safely out, he dissapeared once again.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Xivilai almost laughed aloud as he saw the operating tabel. If this was what he thought it, it was THE oldest trick in the horror book. He boldly walked across the room and ripped the sheet from the covered figure ((Yes Diov, I am absolutely aware that this is not even remotely close to what I think it is.))
------------------------------------------------------------------------
The portal dropped Falcon Strike in the middle of Amadren's meditation room. As he appeared, Amadren turned to look at the assassin. His entire demon guard turned to survey the new arrival as well, but turned back to watching the entrances as Amadren waved them away.
"Well, it's nice to see you've decided to join me here in my little tower. I don't know why, but you seem different from the others. More...ruthless. I'd like to propose a partnership between us. I can provide you with some powerful weapons to use in this world.
As he said this, a contract appeared in the air before Falcon. Next to it floated a small dagger with an incredibly sharp point.
"You will have to sign this contract though. A small formality but a necessary one in this world." -
Xivilai stumbled back a step as the zombies poured out of the elevators. He had no chance of fighting them as it was now. Thinking quickly, he sank into the ground and morphed into his shadow form. He slid across the floor, under the blood, and through the crack in the middle elevator door.
He traveled through the elevator shaft to the top floor, the most likely place for Charles to be, and slipped through the door. -
Xivilai looked about with slight amusement. This telepath thought he would scare that easily? This was like a playground to him. Xivilai focused his energy on his hand and smashed it into the zombie. It exploded in a gory explosion that splattered Xivilai with even more nasty organs. He shrugged and waded through the blood toward the elevator at the end of the hall. If this was Charles' mind, he had to be somewhere here.
-
Xivilai chose that moment to strike. One of Xivilai's abilities as a being of darkness is the ability to transform into a living shadow. As hardened lava would be porous, the dome was no defense at all for the now weakened Charles.
Xivilai slowly sank into the ground and became a little pool of shadow. He moved across the ground, up the dome, and through one of the lava's pores.
