To be clear, the problem is bank doors in general. Most MM pets won't attack them unless they are literally touching them. Then for the longest time, and maybe it still exists... bank doors don't even show up on some Mayhems/Safeguards.

To the thread in general:
The repeatable missions in DA can be farmed at a rate of one mission per 2 minutes, or, 30 missions per hour. That is the upper limit that keeps the repeatables from being more lucrative in the final reward menu. Even so, the thread reward was just increased (a buff) while the Merit reward had a cool down thrown on it lest it become the fastest way to earn Merits in the game. -
Quote:Posi's post doesn't include the extra cost in converting Merits to Alignment Merits. There is a marked increase in INF cost (20 Million more if you look at the cost of 10 Converters in the table in the link below) to use Alignment Merits, so, there's no free ride there in simple conversion. Grey alignments theoretically have access to getting more Merits by playing the TF/SFs of both sides. What BS! The Vigilante and Rogue Alignments get screwed AGAIN!
10 Converters for 1 Alignment Token? Really? WTF?!
Look at the damn comparison! So freaking unfair to people who stay in the grey.. but, hey wtf cares right?
See here for actual costs: http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Converters -
Quote:Whadya mean 'doggie pals'? This is in reference to other players in Coyote or Panther forms. There was never any real animation for the Coyote to catch it. The dog sort of trapped it against the ground and whimpered as the disc immediately disappeared: not a catch at all. The panther was getting the disc embedded in its butt and screamed. From the patch notes:
"Flying Disc can no longer be used on characters that have shape shifted using a travel power like the Coyote Travel Power."
WAIT.
WHAT.
WHAT IS THIS.
You take away our ability to throw frisbees to our doggie pals, and call it a FIX?
WHYYYYYYY?
So yes, it is a *fix*.
What four legged critters were you throwing the disc to and they actually caught it? -
Quote:After the first time through the arcs, all the DA arcs share the same reward table. Each item on the reward table is on a 20 hour cool down.I thought each arc was on a 20 hr timer? So 4 arcs (max's doesn't grant a component) per day = 4 components per day (the 2nd time through Dream Doctors only grants 1), then 2 Emps a week for all 5 arcs?
Quote:Plus 15+ Threads a day for 2 repeatable missions? (I'm assuming it drops to 5 per mission after the 1st time at 10) If the 2nd + repeatable missions are still at 1 thread than I call utter bull s hi t.
Call it what you want. This is a buff from Beta. -

K... about to test:
- Collaborative missions.
- Gabriel keeping track without talking to him first.

Quote:Yes. You can. Unfortunately for you, many people knew that Converters were coming and all the cheap Purples in the Consignment House were scooped up.Ahh .. OK. I'd need to get a pvp io before I could use it, in any case. But I could buy a 'cheap' purple, and hope for a good random pick?
The good news is that even though the really cheap Purples are gone, it also means that there will be more good ones being made, which drives down the price at the high end.
This also means that you can change any Purple drop you don't need into one you do need.
Besides Purple conversion, you can change an ATO drop into the one your AT can use. Or, you can change a level 50 Doctored Wounds into a level 50 Numina's in just one jump since there are no other Heal sets in that range to convert to. Or buy a cheap level 15 Celetity:End and change it into a level 15 Celerity:+Stealth (which used to go for 150 million in the Market) in relatively few tries since there are only 3 in the set. -
More testing:
A character brand new to the DA arcs can talk to Gabriel after Detective Nolan (not before) and start ticking off arcs.
A tag-along teammate will get the end-of-arc incarnate reward table (if they participate -- can't be standing outside), but it will not count toward Gabriel's countdown. Gabriel is for soloists or team leaders only. -
Quote:Super Packs are far and beyond the fastest way to get lots of Reward Merits.Seems fair enough to me...Reward Merits are still easy enough to get....or are people no longer running TFs, SSA arcs, heck even regular story arcs anymore? Sure you can get a decent amount from Super Packs, but there are numerous ways to get them in game easily too.
The weekly SSA and WST are the next fastest.
Then a daily double Incarnate TF (Apex and Tim Mage) for 80 Merits in an hour.
The Repeatable missions in DA used to be 150 Merits and hour when you learned how to game the choices. But today's patch made the unlimited 5 Merit reward into a 2 per day with a 1 Merit unlimited thereafter and closed that exploit. -
Quote:I was unlucky in getting to the proc. Burning 3 at a time eats through *a lot* of Reward Merits.Yeah, I did mean 300m and the price is dropping. And its so easy to get the +3 now. I made and sold 5 myself today until the price went too low to be worth it. And I just used the merits I had from super packs. Didnt have to buy a thing... again anyway.
But apparently some people have *lots and lots* of Reward Merits. Good for them. Make cheap Purples and PvP procs. Make them like the wind!!! -
Quote:Or just a team leader, I guess. But maybe someone tagging along? This was added just recently to Beta, the Beta patch notes say:I'm pretty sure this is meant to work when you do them through oroborous.
It's meant to be a guaranted Emp merit for solo players no?
Quote:Players can now earn two Empyrean merits a week by completing all Dark Astoria arcs every week. They can speak with Taskmaster Gabriel, who is outside of the Dark Astoria hospital, in order to claim these merits.
Taskmaster Gabriel will inform players on how long they have until they can earn their next Empyrean merit, along with which arcs they still need to complete for their next reward.
Quote:Hail, Zombie Man. I am Taskmaster Gabriel. I have arrived here within Dark Astoria to witness this contest of strength between the darkness here and the powers that inhabit Primal Earth. My goal here is to simple observe and reward those who have proven their strength against powerful foes.
Taskmaster Gabriel will reward players who are security level 50 two Empyrean merits for weekly completions of all the Dark Astoria story arcs. Accepting Taskmaster Gabriel's mission may reveal spoilers for Dark Astoria content. [Accept text]
To prove your strength, you must face the obstacles that this cursed city has created for you. They will hone your abilities and make you stronger than ever. I shall know when you have completed them, whether it be in your present time, or through the use of time travel. Shall we begin? [Yes, let's begin.]
Excellent. Speak with me after you have faced everything this cursed city has to throw at you. Complete all of the Dark Astoria arcs and speak with Taskmaster Gabriel again.
You may complete them normally, or through Ouroboros.
[check with him again and you'll see a list of arcs not completed yet] -
Quote:It's a new reward, never part of the original Beta. It was added after datamining showed that that they should bump up the incarnate rewards a soloist can earn in DA.Was it a fix, or a new reward?
Um... wait, CAN it be run again for the e-merits (via Ouro, I presume)? Is this the 20 hour cool down before more e-merits that was discussed in beta?
It *should* be available via Ouroboros, otherwise the whole repeatable thing doesn't make sense. But, I don't know of any player-confirmed test that this is WAI. -
-
K, then.
Here, have some bacon, it will calm the nerves. -
Quote:You mean 300 million, right?Seeing that I just made roughly 5 bill and +3 def PVP IOs are down to about 300k now, I'd say that the converters are having a impact on things in their current state thats for sure.
That is still a drastic drop, but, that could mean just the 2 billion bids were cleared out and people selling them for 300 million are taking a big loss.
Or, I could be underestimating people's willingness to spend Merits when the hope of spending Astrals and Emps for a bigger bang for the buck might still be coming down the pike. -
Quote:If they want to make it retroactive, that's all fine and good. But, as with the premise of this thread and the kneejerk anti-Dev bandwagon going on here, there is nothing *unfair* or *LAME!!1!!!* going on here. You're making a moral statement when you talk about what is *due* you not being granted. That would be an injustice. But there is no injustice here.Actually I am not overracting when they did promise to bring the patch fix to the live server and it was reasonable to think they meant as it was on BETA. They never said a damm thing about bringing the "fix" to live for RM's only.
Look, take a step back and let us hear from the red letters on this just like when they told us the "fix" was coming today. They can speak for themselves and don't need you throwing up the auto fanboi defense deal here man..just back away and let the DEVS answer PLEASE.
If you want it granted retroactively, ask for it politely and maturely and without false claims of injustice. -
Quote:And there were other badges added later that did not give retroactive rewards simply because there was no counter in effect at the time until the badge was put in.In the past when they have changed things, such as lowering badge requirements, you got the badge once the patch took effect. I fail to see how this is any different.
You get 2 Emps each time complete all the arcs from DA (cooldown taken into account). I completed all the arcs from DA once I should qualify for the reward.
You got the rewards due you the first time you went through it. *Now* there is an additional reward *from this point on*.
No one has been cheated out of anything. -
Quote:Nothing was due you. There was no promise made that this would be retroactive. You are not wronged. You *are* overreacting.(NOT PERSONAL)
If they miss your annual review date and do it two months later you bet the raise is retroactive.
However, lets stick to the real issue at hand here in the game and just how lame it is not to be rewarded for doing the work already. I am sorry while you may find that acceptable some don't and rightly so since we are not asking for any kind of a hand out just what is due.
Pretty fecking simple concept actually.
