Hey peeps - I have been instructed to inform you that Captain Caterwaul of the recently formed Paragon Patrol is looking to recruit new blasters for the Tactical Ops division.

Cap herself commands a devastating vocal range and also has a rather nifty little flame sword and although she is new to Paragon she is an excellent tactical operator in the field.

PLEASE NOTE: Cap is interested in committed individuals to the cause of cleaning up Paragon's Streets (for that read Role Players preferred - Debt Monkeys and rude people (sometimes both) will not be tolerated)

Not as connected as I'd hope - but I recommend wholeheartedly the Concord

Zero X, Firvanna, Loco., Golden Skull and Zia are all wonderful RPers and good friends to hook up with.

THe SVG I belong to - Sex Demons - is not an RP as far as I know but we have fun too. And I have enjoyed my CoH and CoV games far more by roleplaying than soloing as that miserable, ego-maniac Ionos - I'm glad that Midnight Rose had the opportunity to waste that sucker.

Over the Xmas period, Danger Dunne, Blindsight and Captain Caterwaul would like to take the opportunity (Union CoH) to extend a warm welcome to RPers to join the Paragon Patrol - we patrol the streets of Paragon breaking up fights and making them a safer, cleaner place to walk down.
Cap is hoping that one day, she can find the villains who made her into what she is, but until then we're just happy cleaning up the messes on the beautiful streets and skies of Paragon.

Ninjitsu gives us Danger Sense. Same as Focussed Fighting but a neat blue colour which fits my colour scheme

I find the Ninja Blade/Ninjitsu attacks and defences to be REALLY well put together - not only are they a good concept but in practice they give a good sense of 'realism' - that is I can;t keep going around hiding and ASing and placating without a substantial drop in my END and a lag time between attacks.

At first glance (no pun etc) Stalkers appear to have the upper hand in PvP - but have you tried to attack a gun turret or Rikti drone when hidden? Impossible!

Stalkers soloing in PvP are far more vulnerable than when in a group - beware the Stalker with a Mastermind - we get so much buffing it's ridiculous (esp Dark Miasma).

I have PvP'd as a stalker and I like it - not because it's an easy time but because I can roleplay some, have fun, shake cyber-hands after and all that. Build up some new and interesting backstories etc.

I don;t go in there to insult people, be insulted or play in God Mode either.

And it's up to the individual to choose their power pools. Leadership is useful and it might just mean playing through the game at a slower rate by taking it but, hey, kill all missions for me when soloing take HOURS! So i have 3-slotted Rest with SO Recharges! My attacks aren;t that strong but I can last a fight a bit better and that's how I win.

Anyway, ramble and rant over. Stalkers are not overpowered. Some 'builds' may appear better at certain levels but when that lvl 50 endgame stuff comes in I guarantee we'll all be singin' a different tune.

And, imho, Stalkers are more akin to Blasters. We wait a lot, we alpha, we wait!

But still, I have a big mouth and will shout - Don't NERF Stalkers - PLEASE! - to anyone who'll hear it.

We are very squishy and I'm sure a Temp Power such as 'paintball' will put an end to untargettable Stalkers.

If in doubt, chuck a grenade at us or nearby enemies as we always seem to be hit by 'em and lose our precious Hide!

I agree - and to further the cause of the Stalker (for I am one! ):

The ATs in CoV, imho, gel in a different way in teams than CoH. As a stalker I get crit bonuses for held and immobilised opponents so I love Dominators and Masterminds (who also take a LOT of aggro, meaning I can wait until Hide has regenned) - In turn I can benefit a Corruptor by seriously damaging a foe thereby activating Scourge.

And, of course, I like Brutes cus they have Rage! Rage rocks

So, Stalkers may appear to be overpowered but in teams our roles change slightly from Solo (where we do shine a little bit!) and, of course, we're not so good at healing and defending!

When I was playing Ionos I had his different costumes represent different ages. The first was late 20s, the second was a modern early 20s and the third (I scrapped him after lvl 30 - too much fun being a villain at the mo!) was the 'Ionos of the Future' type thing - so easily in his 60s.
Trouble is, it only starts being fun when you RP with the char and cus I was so wrongly obsessed with lvl and respec etc I lost sight of the fun and so scrapped him.

Midnight Rose (my main alt now - Stalker Mutant Villainess with sadistic tendencies!!) is in her early 20s and her different cozzies represent different times in her life - but she is always the same age.
The first is the typical ninja cozzie, the second is more of a clothed samurai/geisha cozzie and the third will be her Arachnos Thug cozzie. Needless to say I'm having more fun as part of a SG with the RP perspective than i ever did as a solo player! And I still get to solo with Rose, so I have the best of both worlds - I love the 2 games!

It wouldn;t fit with my stalker perse but how about:

Placate - "You ain't seen me, right?"
or
"Farewell, lover" (Placate or AS would work with this)

Actually, now I come to think of it, that last one WOULD fit with my stalker! - okay - how d'you do binds again??

I been thinking which becomes more difficult at 2am after several hours spent playing CoV - Top Trumps!

Would anyone be interested - DEVS this is for you too, I'm interested from a legal perspective - in putting forward suggestions for Top Trumps.

Lord knows who would do the artwork but I'd love a quick game of TT with my own personalised deck.
Nothing really stopping anyone from doing it except that I wonder, as Christmas is approaching fast, if there were any plans in the pipeline???
