    I am sorry to have been the one to disappoint you Techbot. I know that you've been looking forward to this particular aspect, as have many players. When I got the news on Friday, my heart sank a little bit .

    Silver lining: The costume parts will be available for a decent amount of time before they rotate out. We will be certain to give heads up before we rotate Tier 9 VIP Rewards out for new ones so that players have the opportunity to make any appropriate purchases to reach tier 9, if they so choose to.

  4. Since announcing City of Heroes Freedom we’ve been extremely excited to share all of the new features coming with Issue 21, one of the most exciting being the Paragon Rewards Program.

    We’ve fielded several questions over the last several weeks about the Paragon Rewards Program, one of which being about how Paragon Reward Tokens are awarded for players who purchase Multiple Month Subscription plans. Our original design, and what we’ve been sharing, is that VIP players who purchased multi month subscription plans would be awarded all Paragon Reward Tokens at the time of purchase. Unfortunately due to technical limitations that we have been unable to overcome, this will not be the case. Instead, VIP players who purchase multiple month subscription plans will receive their Paragon Rewards Token each month on their billing cycle, at the same time they receive their monthly allotment of Paragon Points. Please note that Paragon Reward Tokens granted by the purchase of Paragon Points will grant at the time of purchase.

    We do sincerely apologize that we were not able to launch Issue 21 with this feature and will continue to endeavor to implement it in the future.

  7. Here's where we currently stand:
    • We have a high level of confidence (based on initial internal testing last week) that the launcher issue has been addressed and *should be* live for tomorrow. There's still more testing to do, however barring any major issues, this should be ready very soon. I have requested regular updates regarding this and expect to hear confirmation this afternoon sometime. I'll let you know as soon as I do.
    • We believe we have addressed most, if not all, of the text issues in the Market. That's the good news. The not as good news is that we were unable to work these fixes into the release (i.e.; tomorrow's) build. This will go into the first publish following the release of i21, which should hit live servers sometime later this week. It will hit either Training Room or Beta before hand, so I'll update when it's in a test environment so everyone can check it out.

    I do apologize that the Market issue is not going to be addressed prior to launch. If you wish to hurl insults at me, please commence at your convenience.

    I agree, and I choose where I post very carefully.

    That being said, it's important that you, as the customer, know our response, especially in regards to something as sensitive as individual privacy. Westely, and anyone else who is expressing concern, is well within their rights to do so. Take it from someone who puts his real name, identity and livelihood out there for the whole world to see; having the safety of your privacy is very important. I understand this as a consumer, as a gamer and as a father and husband.

    We have no plans to introduce malicious, harmful or intrusive software to your computers. While we do remain vigilant in our fight against exploits (we will be introducing a new anti exploit measure, server side, come Issue 21, but more about that later) we also respect your right to privacy and will not gather any information without your explicit permission (i.e.; you agreeing to send us crash/bug/whatever feedback via the launcher functionality).

    I understand your concerns, but please be assured, we are keeping our watchdog on a leash.

    I can also assure you that while we certainly do read third party websites , we do *not* directly action anyone based on comments made outside of our official forums or in game. While we certainly take things said everywhere seriously (all feedback is valid) and investigate concerns no matter the source, we do not action/ban/suspend or otherwise based on second or third hand information that we cannot verify by our own tools.

    That is correct. Costume slots purchased from the Market are global.

  21. I'm still following up with the Engineers about the issues Mac users are experiencing with the Launcher (i.e.; having to use the work around each time you want to log in). This is a high priority concern for us and something we're getting regular updates on from all parties involved.

    The font issue is still being worked on internally. It's a bit more tricky, and may be resolvable through some CSS magic, however nothing that we can confirm or deny just yet.

  23. We will be bringing all servers offline at 2:00 AM PDT/5:00 AM EDT/10:00 AM BST to resolve the issue occurring on multiple servers. At this time we anticipate that all servers will be back online no later than 3:15 AM PDT/6:15 AM EDT/11:15 AM BST.
