3 SOs would NOT be exactly as good. Using Hami Os allows me to enhance both the Run Speed and the Fly Speed.
[/ QUOTE ]
Thats the thing, you tp, and you fly, not much need for increased run speed. Sprint would do you enough. (or power slide as you put the stealth IO in sprint)
Also, you can get 8% regen off of freebird for 2 of them. For as heavy as your slotting hover it would be a good place to fit 2 in. With 50s your not losing too much for the 2 HO drops and are much cheaper. 33% off each HO so with ED in place thats not even 66% fly/end thats only like 60% or so. 42% for level 50 freebirds so only losing 18% fly/end. If that end reduction loss breaks your bank your definitely doing something wrong. I can see the complaing for the 18% fly speed loss, but your gaining 8% regen for the tradeoff. If you dropped that 3rd HO in favor of a level 50 common fly speed, it only becomes like a 10% loss in enhanced fly speed. so not much, and there is still some end reduction slotting to hover so its not like you lose that completely, but it definitely shouldnt be breaking your bank either way. -
Why is it titled energy/willpower guide? Blasters dont get willpower.
[ QUOTE ]
*Impressive Regeneration - Including Health, Global Effects and Set Bonuses Wavicle has 292% Regeneration, she Regenerates 19.5 Hit Points per second.
[/ QUOTE ]
In other words about 117% regen from set bonuses/uniques outside of base/slotted health. And that's including both regen uniques which you get 45% from that. That makes you getting 72% regen from non-unique bonuses. Considering your Energy Manipulation (ie not willpower, i have other blasters that have higher hp and regen than this, nothing special, and still doesnt change the name of the secondary, very misleading as well) Thats not too bad considering there isnt much to go on with that.
[ QUOTE ]
*Better than Pre-ED Damage and Accuracy - IO Slotting, Set Bonuses, Assault, and Defiance bring Wavicle's damage to +160% without Aim or Build Up. This surpasses the slotting she had in Issue 4 with two accuracy and four damage SOs.
[/ QUOTE ]
You sure were unique. Most people slotted 1acc SO and 5 damages pre-ED. That is very misleading for a topic name.
Personally, i'd place 5 stings of the manticore into the snipe. Its 12% more regen, 3% more damage, and you get 7.5% global recharge, something people are paying almost 60mil for to get from a LOTG lately. For pretty cheap.
Also i'd say your overslotting aim and build up really. With 2 level 50 IOs that 3rd slot only drops the recharge by 3.2 seconds. In a set bonus build thats hardly anywhere near worth it.
I would also not bother with the HO on personal force field. With the slotting you have now, you will only drop the recharge by 1.7 seconds, and the current defense you get is 75.7% defense, well over the cap so it doesnt need more defense really.
Your personally far underslotting your main attacks as well. I would personally try to get more acc/rech in them or some end reduction. Just too few for my taste, if not on the single targets, but definitely on powers like energy torrent.
Same thing for conserve power, only needs 2 slots. If you have more end problems i would look into getting more end reductions slotted like in your attacks. After Ios i dont even get conserve power anymore except for my DA scraps. Any others i've never had problems, even after nuking i can practically attack constantly and still gain endurance almost. That 3rd is only doing about 21 seconds difference out of 293 seconds. Seems like a longer amount of time but for the ratio of how much it takes off versus total wait time still makes it hardly worth it again. Even a direct comparioson taking that slot off CP and giving to energy torrent with the dam/end will give 6.25% global recharge. So the difference is actually only about 12 seconds or so for that 3rd slot on conserve power.
And i see you trying to get run and fly out of swift, but personally the effect is so low if youll be hovering you wont be needing swift for its run speed. In that case your be better off with level 50 common IOs. And again at that rate its another good place to save a slot for other bonuses by using 2 level 50 commons, with the 3rd slot pretty negligible for such a low increasing power. When powerboost is on your superzippy when needed in hover anyways as well (or sprint even).
Stamina is an uber place for bonuses. 4 slotted with EA will max its recovery, grante 1.5% bonus in recovery, and add 1.13%hp, and 10% regen as well, which seems to be what your going for mostly here. And so far nothing i've mentioned has taken away from your HP bonuses, but if you truly are at the cap, that 1.13% extra hp will let you get some better bonuses on a power that your going for the HP bonus and let you get more acc/rech bonuses or something else. And the 10% regen will help as well. (not to mention ED-capped slotted stamina and 1.5% recovery, yet antoher reason why i dont need CP)
On temporary invulnerability, that 3rd HO isnt really needed for the end reduction. Its a good place to get rid of one of those, and put the steadfast resistance/3% defense IO in. Its only a .03% difference in end reduction, not needed especially when the trade-off is 3% global defense.
for force of nature, if you went with 3 titanium coatings, you could get 1.5% hp there, allowing for better slotting of other powers like your attacks or so by not needing those slotted for the HP bonus. -

Actually, none of the power sets being discussed are all that mind blowing.
[/ QUOTE ]
mind blowing? thermal and cold for heroes is not? Thermal and cold domination are not mind blowing? PBU and cold domination = -dmg cap pretty much will take out any EB (pve) or AT (in pvp) out of the fight.
What kinda get me mad is the article how they keep describing how MMs cant get kin or how cold armor is not possible for brutes. Kinda adding fuel to the fire.

If you didnt catch it Wavicle is correct, power build up does NOT affect -damage debuffs. -

Forge is the same as fortitude -defense (which got spread out as the shields) And yes, you can boost forge with powerboost (to hit) perhaps you should rethink before you post.
[/ QUOTE ]
No, you can't, not until i12 and then only as a Controller.
Corruptors don't GET Power Boost.
[/ QUOTE ]
The discussion was on thermal being ported to trollers... *sigh* Yes so they can get powerboost. Not until issue 12, its a guaranteed, so we cant play it yet doesnt mean it "doesnt exist" though.
Or just maybe perhaps in that same post you mentioned how fortitude can be buffed with powerboost, which corrupters dont even get. The discussion was between emps, and thermal for CONTROLLERS. *sigh* -
[ QUOTE ]
You can't seriously expect them to tell you that. MMO Game developers never give exact times (unless they are idiots), because they don't have control of funding, manpower, deadlines, QA, etc. The publisher can't tell you that either because something that might be done might get blocked by either lack of resources or manpower, or QA might find a horrible bug that wipes out the database and that would push back any release.
If NCNC could tell you exactly when a powerset would be ported, I would think the team would instead use that ability to win some super lottery instead and leave.
[/ QUOTE ]
Exactly what, they most CERTIANLY can do that. As to "exactly' when, they can do that too just you thought of it the wrong way i was thinking. Just like issue 12. Maybe not the exact date, but we know the exact order in which they will be coming and roughly the time (ie next patch to come ie issue 12, and roughly 1.5 months or so.)
[ QUOTE ]
Give me a break, "Forced"? Someone goes to your house and breaks your leg (or worse) just because you didn't make a certain combo? If they had the manpower for that, they would have more powersets ready.
[/ QUOTE ]
There are many different ways of being forced. No someone isnt actually coming to my house and breaking my legs. But nonetheless, the options that are set now as opposed to later force you to make decision and give limited pathways on which to choose that would be different otherwise if we knew the whole picture. -
[ QUOTE ]
Alright, I have just a few things to add to this thread...
From here on out, and complaints made about whos not getting what, or, i wanted a blue one mommy! Are all considered shreiks from a little girl.
The only thing anyone can complaine about is that the devs are slow in releasing content, other than that, we all will be satisfied.....eventually.
[/ QUOTE ]
True and not true. Its a BIG part of what is released now vs later. Because it makes a huge difference in knowing what toons to make now vs what combinations we will get. Especially for those who dont want to redo sets it really affects which kinds we make. And for the sets we didnt get yet it makes it hard to pair up what we got now and plan out toons.
IT would be ok, if they at least told us exactly what will be coming over and when so we can actually PLAN out characters out. (as far as what we didnt get goes yet that is). For instance, i have a very hopeful idea for an earth/poison controller. But beforehand i had one for an earth/sonic. Now that i know we wont get poison, i want to do the earth sonic. But honestly, knowing we "might" get poison, im forced to hold off playing the earth/sonic till i know for sure. Because if we do get poison, ill then be VERY pissed off that i already have my earth controller, as i can find another primary i'd want with sonic, but earth is the main primary i'd want with poison. But if we dont get poison, then earth is the main primary i want with sonic right now as well. So you see not knowing REALLY screws up me and many others with planning what kinds of toons to make. And nothing worse than being "forced" into a combo that you dont like because its the only options left without replaying sets for the most part.
Just think about when dual blades and willpower came out. Most everyone made a db/wp or wp/db, not just to try the new sets, but mostly because they have already played every other primary and secondary available to scraps/tanks so they were pretty much forced to. At least if we knew what was coming in the future NOW, we could at least plan for it when it gets here. -

I feel.... somewhat...
jipped...
As a scrapper lover anyway. I mean fire/fire?! you coudl j ust have gotten a tank. It honestly isnt that big of a leap. I was really hoping for Energy Aura to go with the already present Energy Melee.
Also I am dieing for Ninjitsu scrapper!
Tanks... okay dark/dark is nice but how about Electric/Electric?!!
Arg
Sigh...
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, thats about the EXACT sentiments of about 90% of the playerbase. /agree, and have no freaking idea how the devs messed up so badly on these ones.
I would have liked energy or electric armor. But personally the best primary for scrappers would have been mace IMO. Fire has nothing that helps the scrapper survive, which is what kinda defines the scrapper primaries by having some kind of mitigation as a secondary effect. Be it knockdown, to hit debuff, stun, hold, end drain, something. Fire has nothing :/. And as far as damage, its not that much better than spines, and spines has nice slows and knockdowns. /FTL -

AWWWWWW come on, any chance we can get poison in there for controllers. Thermal is just almost an exact copy of empathy with a tad of sonic lets get something new. Besides it themes with plant nicely anyways PLEASE.
[/ QUOTE ]
Judging from your post there, you clearly have no idea what you're talking about nor have you played a thermal corruptor.
An empathy's Fortitude and Clear mind is nothing compared to Forge and Thaw.
Not to mention, Fortitude grants, defense(and this is defense to ALL, smashing, lethal, cold, fire, psi, etc), damage, and To Hit, AND it an be powerboosted.
Forge grants damage and to hit and cannot be powerboosted.
Clear Mind grants resistance to Immob, hold, disorient, sleep, confuse, fear and it grants +perception. Seeing as how this stacks, you can be at the perception cap with 2 applications of CM.
Thaw however does not grant any sort of perception at all.
Also, Empathy has 2 single target heals, one is an "oh crap" heal that heals for 90% of a targets HP. So just about anyone can be kept alive for quite a while if you keep switching between heal other and absorb pain.
Thermal has only the equivalent to heal other and cauterize, and even at level 50, the heal values are not close.
Empathy also has the ability the buff others and the caster. Using Recovery aura and regeneration aura which makes the caster more survivable in pve AND pvp.
Thermal just has shields and cannot cast on themselves (obviously) and without a RA like power, Thermals are very end heavy.
I'm not trying to say Thermal should have RA, just pointing out that there are differences.
Also, Empathy is solely an all buff powerset, while thermal radiation, has buffs but also has debuffs with melt armor and heat exhaustion.
Next time, play the AT/Powersets before you jump to conclusion that they're the same, and judging from your sig, you haven't.
And no, heroes have gotten more than enough don't need poison. If anything Villains should've gotten empathy.
[/ QUOTE ]
Wow, you took that WAY too specifically. It is an almost exact copy of empathy PLAYSTYLEWISE. Only difference is that the "defense" portion of fortitude is resistance and can stay on all teammates. Forge is the same as fortitude -defense (which got spread out as the shields) And yes, you can boost forge with powerboost (to hit) perhaps you should rethink before you post.
Aborb pain, well since its a cotnroller secondary, i don't even really count it as for any GOOD controller they skip this power most of the time anyways. Ally rez, thermal version is better but again, plays the same exact role. Thaw, almost the same as clear mind, only instead of perception it has resist to slow and cold, very fair tradeoff. Again, exact same role it plays.
The only really different kind of power are heat exhaustion and melt armor. But for the rest of the set playing nearly identical, and how late those last two powers come for the most of the characters life, yes i can say that it is the most redundant set that trollers could have gotten. Not to mention that Heat exhaustion is a debuff but plays the same role of having enemies hurt the team less. And melt armor is on a 2.5 minute timer so its not like it is a constant power to use to change playstyle that much.
And news flash, not EVERY character you have can fit in that tiny sig. For some reason that's all that it allows me to place. -
[ QUOTE ]
Villains as a whole, get 9 'new' sets that villains can use. Storm can be used by 2 different AT's, but it's still one powerset ported to villains. Judging by your logic, if we add a powerpool set available (with 4 powers like all other pool powersets) to all AT's, we would be getting 44 new available powers. Sorry, but most people don't see it that way.
I highly doubt the blasters will be getting a port from the dominator psi assault set, it wouldn't make sense. Mental blast, psi scream, subdue, psi lance in a secondary? right, lol. It's not going to be a direct port from psi assault, no way considering some of the power choices will be redundant with psi blast.
lol if you think i don't know what I'm talking about. We can meet in the arena anytime buddy, care to test your game knowledge and experience in a 10 minute match?
[/ QUOTE ]
It wont be a direct port, itll have some switched around with the primary.
For the primary, i'd imagine. Tier:
1. Psionic Dart
2. Mental Blast
3. Psionic Lance
4. Psychic Scream
5. Telekinetic Blast
6. Will Domination
7. Psionic Tornado
8. Scramble Thoughts
9. Psychic Wail
And for the secondary, Tier:
1. Subdue
2. Mind Probe
3. Telekinetic Thrust
4.
5. Build up
6.
7. Drain Psyche
8. Some kind of melee hold or stun w/damage
9. Psychich Shockwave
The other 2 are somewhat of a mystery, but theyll have to come up with new powers for them also. My guess in the tier 6 spot a pbaoe sleep power, and in the tier 4 spot some kind of a short-range cone power or another pbaoe attack or even a melee confuse power or something.
And yeah, it would REALLY be nice to know what sets in the future are coming, or not coming so we can actually plan what toons we want to play now by knowing what we will end up with. -

"Plant Control"
Either Fire or Ice heal and buff set created for
Corruptors - i would prefer fire - technically Poision
could also be used for trollers
ok got thermal - and am happy

Defenders
Hopefully an elemental blast power - either fire or
ice - like the Corruptors have - again would prefer
fire
Again Either Fire or Ice heal and buff set created for
Corruptors - i would prefer fire - poison is unlikely
for defenders
Ok right on this one - i would still have prefered thermal but ehh
[/ QUOTE ]
How could you have hoped or be happy with thermal? Its almost EXACTLY empathy. Its quite annoyingly the most redundant set to possibly go to trollers. My vote still says we should have gotten poison. But even traps would have been the second best choice for at least SOME form of new-ish powers for trollers to play with.
I'm happy with cold for defenders though and ice was something i was hoping, but since making my ice blaster meh. But suppose i'll have fun with a cold/ice
AS for tanks and scraps. OMG. tanks definitely should have gotten elec/elec. And seriously wondering how long itll be before they nerf dark armor for tankers. And god do i still want elec melee for tanks so badly.
As for scrappers, What!? Fire melee, ok i guess something had to come, though again elec melee or even something like mace would have made more sense. Personally spines > fire melee for a scrapper because it helps to survive with kd/slows. I would expect the scrapper version to do to hit debuff or something. FSC will be sweet on scraps though (not more than blasters though. But to the big issue, WOW. Fire armor is already weak for tanks, how the heck are they going to justify it for scrappers??? With less resists, less HP, and less value from the heal, SERIOUSLY. There are going to be so many dead fire armor scrappers out there it'll almost be funny if it wasn't so sad. I would have more expected ice, energy or electric armor instead. -
AWWWWWW come on, any chance we can get poison in there for controllers. Thermal is just almost an exact copy of empathy with a tad of sonic lets get something new. Besides it themes with plant nicely anyways PLEASE.
Not to mention what were you thinking for scraps/tanks? OMG the worst choices ever. First off fire armor is going to be rediculously weak for scrappers. Fire melee? come on thats what spines is for.
For tanks, i can see dark melee, but dark armor? How many freaking nerfs should we expect to keep it from being overpowered on a tank? /FTL -

Like i said, what happened to my groups might be outdated as you said. I'm not lying when i say how the promotions worked but that was over a year ago. Something in the system may have changed since then. /bug it is the best thing i would say to do right now seeing, as at least for 3 groups ive been in, its worked the way I said, so it at least WAS working properly, something might have messed up, not even tying in with the SG vault stuff.

The promotions NEVER worked the way you decribed. They have NEVER prioritized higher ranking. It has always been the next person to log on who gets promoted.

As much as you want to argue, there is nothing you can say that changes the FACT that this DID happen this way in the SGs i was in. It is a FACT that it did happen this way. I can't say what factors contributed it to work this way for me and not for you. And i'm not arguing that what you have been experiencing happened the way you described.
All im saying is it DID happen exaclty as i said. So take it to try to figure out maybe why it did. I don't know. I just know it happened this way in my experience, and nothing you can say about "how it works now" or "how it appears to work" will change the way that it DID work for me. Maybe it ties into something as odd as what server your SGs were on. Like i said, i don't know, all im stating is that it occured differently for my SGs than it did for yours. That's it. I'm not arguing. Just stating, use it as you will.
Edited to chime in that it actually worked this way so securely at the time, that the one SG i was in i literally sat there checking every day for the top leader to be autodemoted so i could get top leader rank and keep the group going and fix some things. And yes, it did work, the leader eventually came back, and i re-promoted him. The SG in this scenario was Team Avalanche on Triumph, send a tell to @cath in-game and even ask him who got leader while he was away. Me (Chillspeed). (I also promoted forgotten guardian while cath was away) I did have seniority (though a couple were joined before i, but because they were inactive leadership went to me, and I was also on under the 15 day auto-demotion time frame. Now one thing brought up about ranks, in this situation i was also the 2nd from top rank, but cause of the other things might not have mattered in this situation. Though in the other scenarios, it was the same with rank anyways, but if you go figure, people who joined first yet still play are invariably at best chance of being the next highest rank anyways, so THAT part might have been a coincidence, but the others are not. Should it be tied to rank if there is no correlation for it, undoubtedly yes. -

Yes, there is no rhyme nor explainable reason as to how the game picks the next leader.
The main hero group I belong to has gone without a person in the top rank for 7 months while the game selected the next by recruited date. In other groups I've heard the selection is by the next person to log into the game.
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, there is. It goes through several different things to decide whos the next leader. First it see's who is the next highest rank. Then It checks for who was the last person to log in of the next highest rank. If there is still a tie between SG members at that point i believe it checks for who joined the SG first.
[/ QUOTE ]
This is [u]flat out wrong[u]. You have [u]no idea[u] what you are talking about. I do. Besides being in opposition to Steele Magnolia's post, it flies in the face of my groups experience.
For my example top rank (Leader)=1, bottom rank=5.
Character 1:
June 2007 - First Rank 1 quits.
Character 2:
July 2007 - The Second Rank 1 quits.
Character 3:
August 2007 - One of the Rank 2s gets promoted, except he's been absent over 3 months. His time is reset when it happens. His account was inactive (not paid) at the time of the promotion to Rank 1, and has not been reactivated.
Character 4:
October 2007 - Another Rank 2 gets promoted, but he has not been active in over 10 months.
Character 5:
November 2007 - Third Rank 2 gets promoted, but not been active in a year.
Nearing the Autodemotion date in early December, the setting up of the City Vault resets the "last on time" preventing autodemotion. (Character 3's and 4's last on gets reset as well).
Character 3:
Jan 2008 - Gets repromoted for a few days (assumed glitch thanks to next entry).
Character 6:
Two days after Character 3, Character 6 who is Rank 4 gets promoted.
All this bypassing 10 characters at Rank 2 who were logging in at least monthly, some several times a week.
Characters 1 & 2 created the SG. Characters 3-6 were promoted in order of join date, not rank (proved with the Rank 4 getting promoted over the ranks 2-3s that were active throughout).
I've read other stories that have the next person logging on getting promoted despite higher ranked active characters having a newer join date as well.

Did you try /bugging it and getting Dev help? I've been in 3 SGs where it worked exactly the way as i have described, Myself being promoted to leader in 2, and during a transition time in my SG Having the same thing occuring. I don't know why it would work differently for you. So i suggest /bugging it and PMing devs about the issue.
From the sound of your posts, it seems more of an issue of what they were doing with SGs when everyones time got reset, and they added 150 spots to the SG. My experiences that i mentioned were all before issue 11 and the SG changes/prestige bonus/size increase so it may have something to do with that. They also only dealt with inactive leaders, not leaders quitting the SG.
And as for before the SG reset It still seemed like it was the next highest rank that was getting promoted. As for them being inactive during this i'm not sure what would be working with that. Like i said when it did it the way my experiences happened, it happened just like i said, but it was still over a year ago so something in the coding may have changed that we don't know of or might have been overlooked. -
One thing i REALLLLY want, is at the end of that extremely laggy arachnos map that was used for the last valentines day event, is some kinda, i dont know. Its bot a huge screen, and a big round platform under it witih some robotic arms going to the center. Its HUGE though so a person can stand there in the middle and look up at the screen. Its dang cool.

And somehow i swear this was another thread i was replying to, so ill tie the post back to the bases. It would be REALLY wonderful if the devs would FINALLY address separate base permissions for each storage type. Not only that but to possibly create new storage items designed for higher ranks. Or in general just new storage items that are bigger and allow for holding more of that item. Like a mega inspiration or enhancment collector or something. -

How about one big thing if someone didn't mention it which is too ALLOW us to re-hold a personal item so we can move the room around or change it without having to completely delete an item or make another room just to hold it during the process.
And another thing as someone mentioned being able to place the doorway in a new room you create. An easy way to do this since you can really do 2 things at once when youre placing a room unless you make the base better at detecting ANY doorway possible. Is to let us place the room, if there aren't any current doorways able, then to let us place the room and simply have it be disconnected until we manually place the doorway.
Another thing that would be nice is a "delete all decorative items" option so when were changing/moving rooms around they dont get in the way during the process.
Another thing is to be able to change ceiling/floor height when an object is on it, so long as were changing all the tiles that the object is part of. Even if it means being able to change the entire rooms ceiling/floor height at the same time, and then adjusting the non-used parts separately afterwards. -
Its nice to do something about the lag. Suprizingly at least on victory when there are still 50 people my powers arent slow, just a bit of lag initally getting to the ship. Then again its a small server not sure what its like on freedom dont have a toon high enough there yet. I just know that before the invasion, i would randomly get the non-fire power lag anyways, i hope this fixes that issue there too.
At any rate i still dont know why you choose mid-day to do this :/. Should have just waited till tomorrow morning to do it. -

Conserve Power and Laser Beam Eyes are the only 2 powers I took in this set. I tried the other 2 but they just wouldnt fit into my play style. Focused Accuracy is a pretty endurance heavy toggle to run and it really doesnt help much. Only a 20% boost to accuracy where as one accuracy SO will give you a 33% boost. The endurance cost to me isnt worth the accuracy benefit. There is a +Perception secondary effect and that makes the power almost worth taking. Energy Torrent is another good power it's just not great and it's kind of a pain getting more than a couple bad guys in the cone radius. Conserve Power 3 Recharges, Laser Beam Eyes 1 Acc/2-3 Defense DeBuff after HOs 3 Lysosome.
[/ QUOTE ]
Just a little side note. IIRC the base TO HIT VALUE! of focused accuracy is 25%. 3 slotted takes it to just about 40% TO HIT BONUS. Note this is TO HIT BONUS. It doesn't work in the same way as accuracy does anymore. With the way that accuracy/defense/buffs calculate now, to hit buffs are actually more powerful than your standard accuracy enhancement value. Think of it as a multiplicative value, instead of just a standard addition. Although in reality, it kinda works the other way around lol, with the enhancments multiplying off your base accuracy, and the to hit being a separate addition to your chance of hitting a foe.
Either way, take it out like this, 3 to hit buffed FA >>>>>>>>> 1 accuracy SO.
For an example, on my claw/regen scrap (no follow up), pre-FA, i would start to hit inconsistently around +3-+4 level enemies. Once i got FA slotted, I dropped an accuracy SO so i now only have one and FA, and i was hitting +5-+6s, +4s aren't even a problem. -
OOOHHHHHHH ok thanks lol. Yeah the way i was reading it was 70% end reducer, not 70% of ONE end SO. Ok that makes more sense now, and yeah its what i was explaining i would do too lol, without even knowing he said the same thing :P.

Pentangle can you please explain yourself for what i asked in the last part of my post.

Or what i do is just realize what value the even ones (which were talking about common ios you mentioned there right?). IE a level:
30 IO = +1 SO
35 IO = +2 SO
40 IO = +3 SO
45 IO = +4 SO
50 IO = +5 SO
not sure on the math of 25 IO but is 32% which is about a -1 SO right?
So im confused as your post but if your talking common IOs, i like +3 so i use 3 level 40 IOs, past that you can get closer with 2, but still wont reach that 95%ish ED cap, BUT, the nice thing is if you use 2 level 50 IOs it takes you to rougly 85.6% IIRC, and you can then use just about any named dual effect IO past level 20 or so (10% of the one value) and then also get an extra little bonus of something like end reduction or recharge. That isn't too shabby and doesn't require much thinking about IOs to figure out like some others do and give an immediate easy to see bonus*.
Granted that is when you can use level 50s so doesnt work exactly like that before 47, but is still nice to know.
bonus* = extra advantage, wasn't talking about set bonuses.

For example I wish to have 3 SO worth of flight enhancements in Fly and minor set bonus but not dedicate more than 3 slots to the power. If I use [Fly] and [Fly/End] from Soaring and [Fly] from Freebird or a basic invention recipe I will have [1]+[0.625]+[1]=[2.625] IO. Referencing the table, the enhancements all (or at least the weighted average) need to be level 39 or higher to obtain 3 SO worth of flight enhancements.
I use the same philosophy to decrease melee toggle defense powers from 4 to 3 slots on slot tight builds and still maintain 3 SO worth of resistance/defense and at least 71% SO worth of endurance reduction once the character can slot level 39+ enhancements.

This part confused me. If your only having 3 slots, to keep that 3 slot SO worth of fly, how do you get 70% end reduction? (as you said in relation to your def/resist toggles).
I see the fly/end IO, at max gives 26.5% for fly and 26.5% for endurance. Add the 2 IOs of fly and that takes your fly portion to the 95%ish cap, but your endurance is only at 26.5% endurance reduction from the split fly/end IO. So how do you figure you have 70% end reduction from 3 slots? -
Yeah lots of times it seems IOs work better when you have EXTRA slots to add to a power to make the IOs work.
And since we clearly have positrons attention any chance for the true value of health pos? From a direct dev response. -
Thanks, it actually does help a lot. One question i have though is i thought that TFs and trials were linked in the same drop pool but you have Devastation and Entropic listed as trial and the other as a TF pool. Was that just a brain fart or did i miss somethwere that they are indeed separated.
I still swear health was 40 and went to 50, problem is the patch notes dont seem to go past issue 6 so trying to find it for issue 5 seems to be a lost cause. Might have to send a pm to positron to know for sure. Or just to get the true base value, at least what the devs say it should be. Wiki might have some things right but i would still feel more comfortable hearing it from a dev considering how my memory is. -

one power, four IO's, two set bonuses: 22% .
Four powers, sixteen IO's, eight set bonuses: 88% .
(health is 40%, or 78-ish three slotted.)
It is indeed nice to slot on top of health. I don't know how it works in practice, I haven't gone that route.
I'll clarify in the next version.

Actually if you don't remember, they increased health's base regen to 50% sometime around issue 5 i think it was.
And isnt there a cap to the amount of type set bonuses. AT 5 i think someone mentioned. So you could only get the +regen 5 times no matter what each time's value is. So if each set bonus is 11% that makes a possible 55% regen bonus.
And just to add, myself and lots of people i talk to START at 2 accuracies, and not going below those, so 2acc/3dam on attacks. If your a regen 2acc/3dam/1rech, for anything else 2acc/3dam/1end. And work from there with Ios without losing the acc and damage. Not quite sure its possible without forfeiting accuracy. I mean, if your a multibillionare in the game and can 50 IO slot everything for all those acc bonuses maybe, otherwise im just not sure if its possible.
