OK so I think Cobalt made that name up and if it's ok with him I'm going to use it.
Wed Hami Raid is now officially Hami Mondaze and last night was our inaugural event.
I want to thank the following ppl for making it run as smooth as it did when it could have been very, VERY bad.
@Celestial Lord for leading Yellow Spike Team 1,
@Brutal for taking the reigns of Yellow Spike Team 2 (see told you it wasn't that bad),
@Disciple of Horus for snagging Green Assault,
@Amygdala for leading Yellow taunt for a bit before she had her major crash and
@The Object for taking up the lead for her and @Kaz for helping him as much as she did.
@MAH for helping @Por and generally keeping the team entertained while I dealt with issues,
@Tfury for leading the Blue Team and
THANK YOU SO MUCH to everyone else that came along for the ride! You guys were amazing.
This is exactly why Champion Server is numero uno.
Next Monday will be Red Side to bring your mean! -

It was a little hair raising, I'll give you that. We lost 1 tank, you and Cherry. But luckily they were able to come back. Were you able to get the updater fixed?

Last night was fantastic! It paled in comparison to last year. Looks like next year is going to be a bidding war between @Force and me... the thief :P
C.A.P.E. is well on the way to becoming just what this server needs. Looking forward to working with everyone this year, new and old, to make their events kick some serious booty. -

OK Shay and I have spoken and we are switching our days. So Hami Raids will no longer be held on Wednesdays but will be changed to Mondays. I know this will make it 3 Hami's in a row (Sat, Sun and Mon,) but Wed seem to be the day everyone does the new TFs that they need for Alpha's and Shay can use that day to her advantage.
So this week will be the last Hump Day Hami Raid (tonight). So if my calculations are correct, tonight is Red Side! See you all there! -

My thought is that for those who suffer from problematic gaming, it is more likely that gaming is a symptom of an underlying problem rather than the cause.
When ppl seek out a game or a book or alcohol or the many other things there are to become addicted to there is almost always an underlying reason for it. They lost their job, they're unhappy at home, their disappointed in themselves, what they've become, or simply they have no idea how to cope with the myriad of problems that life has laid at their feet and they seek a way, ANY way, to escape it.
Whatever the reason, it's not the game's fault. It's the person themselves that is the issue. The game or whatever their addiction is is not the reason for the person's behavior. And until that person sees that there is a problem there will and can be no help for them. (yeah I know that's cliche but true) You can only hope that eventually they will seek help for their underlying issue and never again feel that they need a game to help them escape.
I'm a mom. I game. I go afk... alot... Deal with it or don't invite me But do not perceive to call me an addict because I'm on almost every day for more than 2 hrs a day or ever say that I do not spend enough time with my kids because everyone that knows me, KNOWS that is not true. (And I'm not accusing anyone of ever saying that I'm just making a general clarification)
Oh and let it be known that I do not consider anyone I play with or have played with in the past to be an addict. I've never gotten that impression from anyone no matter what was said or done. I just see ppl that are as enthusiastic about this game as I am.
THAT'S IT! I'm a game ENTHUSIAST! Screw that article

I met Locks for the 1st time iirc when we did a LGTF then a ITF a few weeks ago. He was funny and I enjoyed meeting him. Can't wait to team with him again. -

On Vanguard I was the Guild leader and was approached by another guild leader to see if we wanted to merge with them. I spoke with my crew and they said ok but only if I was given co leader rights.
All was ok for a while but then the other leader started blind inviting a BUNCH of ppl. There was no guild cap on that game so we had over 400 people. Aaaannnddd then he left.
So here I was, the sole leader of a guild of 400 or so ppl and NO ONE knew what was going on. I made the best of it, set up a dkp list, made a website so that ppl could actually see the items that were available, run vent... yeah I would spend 8 hrs a day JUST on maintaining the website and dkp list and making sure ppl got credit for their guild donations.
I burned out hardcore. My second in command said he would take over if I needed time. So I left and I only went back once. I joined the guild my old core group was involved in, received horrid tells from the current leader who was afraid I wanted to stage a coup and have her removed.. I lold. Then left again. -

If someone lives in a REALLY small town and they are not big into hunting and the only outlet they really have for stimulating conversation via face to face chat is with the grocery store checkers then, quite honestly, I do not see how this comment should to apply to them.
