Happy birthday!

Awww, does that mean it's your birthday!? Happy!
And yes, I'd like the cake back too. -
Luddites are there for comedy relief, I think
And blueside, who is it, Hellions or Skulls that get used by the Malta group? Very nicely ties in mid-40 content with those early days.
Myself I do NOT like Banished Pantheon in general but that's probably because my first and sadly most lengthy exposure to them was with my first 50 who was an Emp/ DARK defender... meaning her already weak attacks did even LESS to them. >_> Fire / fire tank and scrapper on the other hand, mop those guys up lol. -
The cut and paste response on the first page covers all the bases on why it's a bad idea.
No server is a "ghost town". That's just pure and simple bull. If you can't find a team?
FREAKING SOLO for a while. OMG it's so hard!!!!112... NOT. People, you don't have to rush to 50. You don't have to team if there's no one around to team with. You do NOT have to do the AE to the exclusion of other missions and your contacts. You do NOT have to level fast, to ENJOY the game.
If you do have to level fast to enjoy the game?
You are NOT playing with me, that's for sure. A duo or trio has just as much fun as a full 8 person team OR a soloist does. You can solo with new limits to your mission content OUTSIDE the AE (I don't have a clue whether it's that way in AE missions or not, since I hardly play there) and pretend you've got a full team worth of people - and you can still play as a plain old heroic soloer.
"But why's it called MULTIPLAYER then!?" BECAUSE IT'S GOT LOTS OF PEOPLE PLAYING IT!
They don't have to all be on at once. They don't have to all be on your server. There are more people subscribed to this game right now than there were a year ago. There are dozens if not hundreds more newcomers and trials than I've seen in months - and definitely seen in years.
So crawl out of the AE building and stop farming for a moment, make a new character, play the tutorial, head to Atlas or Galaxy and *do missions* instead of grinding.
There's no need to merge servers, it's just YOU need to learn how to manage your OWN team dynamics or grow up and realize no one wants to team with you because you're being a jerk in broadcast/sending blind invites/being insulting. It's pretty much that simple. -
Cool I'll write that in on my calendar so I don't forget. Hopefully it'll have cooled down by friday - omg it's been near 100 today outside, and my computer corner is usually 5-10 degrees hotter than outside... bleah!!

They really do need to hire Steelclaw. I'd love some of those hahahah!

Pretty much anyone in the world can buy the game and start playing it. It failed there because it didn't have enough grind, like all the other popular Korean games usually do. There just wasn't enough connection to the culture, I think. If people IN Korea want to buy and play, they can do that. But I don't think it'd be worth anyone's time to start a whole new server system for it.

Oh yeah, this is C_L. No doubt about it. He keeps coming back, because he's an idiot and a glutton for punishment. He has no girlfriend, no life, probably no job so he's had to abandon the accounts he paid for, and is now getting huffy because he probably can't stand not having "49 fifties", any more.
Loser. No one plays WITH YOU. Because it's YOU. I'm not even interested in pulling my punches any more. Ocho - someone.... please, just perma ban his IP. -
.... Grey's Anatomy season starts.
>_> *headdesk* I can't even believe I'm saying that but I watched 4 weeks, 8 episodes leading up to this over the last month lol.
Think we can do a 'short' posi? I've been hearing it works WAY better with super, so... I'd still be in, I think we'd be done by then. -
If you're not concerned about whether it looks like it's "hitting" the target, that's fine - but consider this:
It'll be too subtle of a motion, to work with. Remember that they don't use any motion capture in this game's animation, anywhere. The animations we have are all reasonably obvious. The character would really have to lean WAY back and propel themselves WAY hard forward, to make it look like it's a hit at all. A quick bashing motion (like, what you'd actually do if you were in proximity to someone else's head) would be more easily animated as "/e nod" and isn't particularly impressive.
I'd rather have an entirely new set of melee (staff/scythe/etc) than just replacing or adding one headbutt into one or two powersets. Still, it'd be fun, I'm not saying it wouldn't be, but between the lack of dynamic animation potential and the fact that we really don't get anywhere near the enemies to 'hit' them, I don't see it happening any time soon. -
Quote:lol!I feel better when I pretend it is dead so if it ever does show up I can be
Well, at least it has never been dead *because they canned it*. It's been dead because it was being messed with by (apparently) people who didn't understand what they were doing outside the company. -
I'd definitely like that.
The Vault is still in progress SwellGuy, it's just been hindered by the third party they hired to do something with it. once that's all out of the way I think they'll probably have it up. Don't know when, lol. It's backburnered, but it's still on their radar. -
I think people often also forget how bad the dialog and delivery was in most of Star Wars as well...
-
Probably has to do with how many head options can appear at one time. Hair takes up one slot, adding three more like with full masks would likely cause a meltdown I definitely want this too though.
-
I would definitely love all those things. More ambient sounds = win.
It'd have to all pretty much be toggle-on/off, though, for people with lower end systems or poor internet. More info = more trouble.
They should totally have casting calls for voice talent. I know there are PLENTY of people here who would gladly give up some shouts, grunts and taunting for this game. -
Put ARRISA on the reserve list. I hope I'd be able to attend. mind/psi. (or is it psi mind?)

Quote:I started out purely ranged, in fear of melee. First fifty = defender. Second fifty = ice/kin controller. I got brave with a tank, because I knew they could handle just being beaten on while I figured out what to do in melee instead of ranged, third fifty = fire/fire tank. Worked my way toward a scrapper, db/wp who is 42 or 43 now, and when it was possible, made a psi/mind blaster (squishy!).Ya, I couldnt wait to get the whole debt badge set either. I tried the whole mindset thing but I feel my Jedi skills are hampered by my ping. I mean I wanted to beat the guy up but he must have wanted it more. That and the fact that melee is not a defenders strong point conspired to kill me...repeatedly. I find sprint is useful though.
I might suggest work your way toward ranged with a human-only kheld. Wean yourself off the melee... -
Quote:HeheheheDang... If only I could make his wedding next week, I could totally do that for you. Perhaps I can ask a friend to get said picture? Hmmmm.

"Hey, hi, could you um, lick your elbow? Yeah, like that, um, can I get a photo? No, no it won't wind up on the internet, I promise." -

My first fifty was an emp/dark defender that I soloed about 85% of her life. I did no babysitting except at hamidon raids where I was part of the heal-the-tank crew. It's in the mindset, not the powersets, how to best play a defender - or any AT for that matter. None can be pigeonholed.
