"Hm?" the android turned to Hal with a puzzled blink before she suddenly hit the ground in a flash of green. Essex laughed as Prikker tackled her in a hug.

"Ug der, Prikka!" she squealed in clumsy Trollish. "Bubhosh to see lat!" Returning his hug as tightly as she could (Which wasn't very) she lapsed back into her normal speech. "How have you been?"

As Expiriment started the explanation, she and Ginstar listened attentively. The larger android had set the box down and was sitting on it, nodding every once in a while.

"Oh dear..." Essex murmured at the observations. "This doesn't sound good at all."

Don't make me learn how to make plushies, people.

((...Though a Cobalt Stinger plushie would be one of the cutest ever. Second only to Mini-Bot.))

It's so freakin' awesome. I swear to toast I'm typing it in Notepad before I post it next time.

I just read this. I am the SAME WAY. All of my characters are either based on parts of my personality or my family and friends. A few examples...

Peng Wei-Li = My little brother Will. :P When I took Chinese classes, my Chinese name was Peng Na-li.
Ginstar and Emry are both my fiance. XP

There are more, but I don't remember them offhand. D: So...many...characters.

Anyway, back on topic---

As an artist, music that reminds me of characters really makes me want to make a TON of animations/music videos. However, I don't think I have the capacity to do all the ones I -want- to do, but I still want to share them.

Would anyone be opposed to me using this thread to script out music videos for the amusement of the world? ((I promise they're not all just Essex. XP)) I just think it would be fun to share exactly what I see of you all when I listen to a piece of music.

Essex slid down into the base, her eyes wide.

"Woooow..." she murmured. "This is really impressive."

She didn't seem to notice much that was going on around her, until Hal greeted her.

"Hi Hal-chan!" she said with a smile, nodding to her head to him. "How have you been?"

She had to turn back to see Mini-Bot, laughing as she saw him lofting his brother's arm into the air. "Hi Mini-Bot!! It's good to see you again!"

Taking Hal's hand in her right and Mini-Bot's mace hand in her left, she began walking farther in. "Come on, everybody's moving on without us."

"Oh, by the way." Ginstar said, scooping up the box and following. "J-dog, the Doc sent along somethin' for you that he can't figure out. Wants you to have a look at it for him."

XD Yaaay! *throws dramafetti*

By the way, that song is Fake Wings from dot.HACK. Really purdy.

"Thanks, Kev." Ginstar nodded, turning around and heading towards the bathroom. Essex waved at him with a smile as she was carried off. Until she realized something.

"I can't go in the -boys'- bathroom!" she squealed, blushing furiously.

"You are so ridiculous."

Ginstar shoved open the door, glancing over the 'bathroom' before finding Ballard.

"Special delivery, J-dog." the purple android muttered, placing down the large box before grabbing his sister off his shoulder and placing her down.

"Hi Sir Expiriment!" Essex said brightly with a wave.

The cloud of trolls passed Essex and Ginstar on their way to Ballard's office. Still over Ginstar's shoulder, Essex waved to the Trolls she recognized.

"Hi Thukka! Hi Morgo! Hi Killa! Hi Fuppa! Hi Raffa! Hi Toofie! Hi Sissush!"

"Toast, kid, you got the weirdest friends." Ginstar muttered.

"It's not my friends that all your friends are drunks, ravers, and hookers." Essex dryly replied.

"I WORK...in a CLUB." Ginstar growled, leering over his sunglasses. "Now where's your friend's office?"

Wei-li: "...I will remain loyal to you, Master." *draws sister's katana*

"Aaaaaaaaaagh!!"

"Get your armor on!"

"Why didn't you tell me it was 9:15!?"

"Jeez, you little klutz, get back here and put your skirt on!"

"But I can't find my helmet! Ginstar, I can't find my helmet!!"

"LEAVE it!"

"But I -"

"Oh, for crying out loud."

The purple and green android scowled heavily and scooped his little sister onto his shoulders. "We're leaving. NOW." Packing up a small box and tucking it under his arm, he kept Essex in a fireman's hold over his shoulder before a soft humming came from his boots.

His accelerators were online.

Ginstar tore through the streets of Paragon City, upsetting pedestrians and narrowly preventing causing traffic accidents as his blinding speed carried him and Essex forward. Into the lobby of the Paragon Times he sped, causing the revolving door to spin so fast it whistled.

The receptionist was faced with an odd sight.

A man with a green mohawk, garishly glam sunglasses, and purple and green armor with large busters, carrying a large box under one arm, and what looked like a little girl over his other arm. The girl seemed dazed, her eyes wide and her blonde hair whipped back with the speed of their commute.

"John Ballard....plzkthx...." she uttered dazedly.

"KYAAAAAH!" the receptionist cried. "It's the Freakshow! And they've kidnapped a little girl!! He has a bomb!!!"

"What?" Ginstar blinked, tilting his head. "What the hell you going on about, doll?"

"Kyaaaah! Kyaaaaaaaaaahh!!" the receptionist continued to scream, waggling her hands about and beginning to sprint aimlessly around the room.

Seeing her do so, the remainder of the people in the lobby began to follow suit. Soon the lobby of the Paragon Times was chaos.

"...Maybe we better go upstairs..." Ginstar muttered as he edged over to the elevator, dazed Essex still in tow.

I'm not planning on having Wei-li betray Blightlord. Like, ever. XD;

Okay, so Essex is predictable. Duly noted.

Can I get some suggestions on how to fix it? I mean, she's a robot, so there's always going to be some sense of predictability - and she's still feeling out her boundaries as a 'sentient' being. But is there anything, any situation or whatever, that you guys would have handled differently?

Come to think of it, I've only had her really get angry a few times. Hmm...

As for forcing things when I GM, I just.....don't feel right doing it. I was brought up roleplaying in chats, so they were very fast-paced and individualized. You didn't just force people to do things, and I always try to allow for people's abilities that I may or may not know about. In truth, I really felt bad infecting everyone with the virus in 24HV - I thought it was really godmoding of me. Vern, for example, with his immune system, and Archlich, with his high amount of power, should have easily been able to shake things off, so I really had to get creative with how on earth I was going to pull it off.

Drama is good when people are put into a situation that is threatening to them, but if I don't let people use their natural abilities, then that's like disregarding part of the character.

But anyway! I'm really seriously looking for suggestions. I'm glad everyone likes Rosie and Nessie, anyway. :P But since Essex IS pretty much my main character, I want her to be someone who is a pleasure to play with - not someone who you see in a thread and immediately think, "Oh, here we go. Kittens and puppies. Heard it before. Jeez."

YAY! I'm not alone in my music fanaticism!

Expiriment, I heard a song the other day that reminded me of John Ballard in his office, and then going down into his base as 2.0 - I believe it was called Unrivaled Boisterous Dance, The Sky is Too Small or something, and it's from Read Or Die. Utterly beautiful.

And since my li'l Wei-Li has Guitar Hero, most of the songs from there have ingrained themselves into my psyche. Most notably,

Fat Lip by Sum 41 - Holy crap, this makes me think of Prikker and Snikker so strongly that it makes me want to do a Flash animation music video.

No One Knows by Queens of the Stone Age - A PERFECT song for Game of Cosmic Chess. I love it, I love it, I love it.

Take Me Out by Franz Ferdinand - This is Rosie and Ghoul's theme song in my mind. I can imagine the two of them in a good-natured spar to this one.

Not from Guitar Hero but still good - Toccata and Fugue in D Minor as played by Vanessa Mae - Rosalind fighting with Ruby Blade. This one is also one I'm working on an animation for. I mean actively working on. I have prelim sketches and everything. It makes me too swoony not to.

As I'm sure you've noticed, I haven't posted any theme songs for Essex yet. That's because there's WAY TOO MANY. They all depend on situations and moods...And for some reason, they mostly tend to be from Katamari Damacy. <.<

Mechagogue, there are a few posters on the forums that I utterly fangirl over. They can probably tell you who they are, themselves, because I bother them nonstop. :P Soviet, Khell, Hal, Acid, Burning, to name a few...

You have also achieved Essex-Is-Your-Fangirl status, even in this short amount of time. Your characters are brilliant. Your writing is superb, and your dialogue is to the point, but still not blunt. Descriptive without being superfluous.

Join more RPs so I can find something to complain about!! XD Because so far you've got five stars from me.

Okay Leo, I'm gonna critique you!

The only problem I have with your RPing is this: A lot of times I don't understand the reasoning behind what your characters do. Now granted, a lot of times there's an in-character reason for this; as Ian and Hyun-ki are both very evasive in their feelings most of the time.

But as an Empathy Defender without powers in the real world (tee hee), it's often frustrating to play under the mental assumption of "Why is Ian so mad at me? D: *robot cries on the inside*"

Other than that, I love your characters, and I love the emotion that you've given them. They're very dynamic and fun, and I look forward to seeing exactly what is making them tick. :P
