Actually I've been seeing skill lag issues on infinity for a couple of weeks now, both red and blueside. It happens mostly in instances, but can occasionally happen outdoors too. I've seen quite a few people mention it when I get on a team with my infinity alts, but I'm not sure if NCsoft is looking into it or if they just assume it's a client ISP issue that will go away eventually.
-
I'll be there for barracuda as long as I'm awake at the time. Lou'kaish will probably be there too, she's never done that one before.
-
Yeah, that sounds like what I've been seeing on infinity. I wonder how many servers are having this issue? I know protector is fine, and one of my teammates during a lagged synapse on infinity said they normally play on virtue and it wasn't happening over there.

Over the past week or so I've been noticing some bad skill lag on Infinity, mostly in instances but sometimes outdoors also. Someone said it best in This Thread:
Quote:This also seems to come with increased load times when you go into an instance. At first I thought it was just me because I've always had latency issues with infinity, but when I looked at my netgraph everything looked fine. When the lag starts happening on a team everyone else says they've been experiencing it lately as well.I have been getting heavy duty lag on Infinity.
Here's the thing: I have heroes on Liberty, and villains on Infinity. I can play my heroes just fine. As soon as I switch to a villain and go into an instance, it starts lagging all over the place. My villains are fine outside. As soon as I go into an instance, I get stuck at the loading screen for a long time. Once inside, I get lag spikes repeatedly that have even caused character deaths.
Other examples of lag I see in instances on Infinity include:
*rubber banding (where you run forward then suddenly shoot back to some spot you've already been)
*enemies/npcs sliding around on the ground and missing part of their running animations
*powers not firing even though I've pressed them and they are recharged, but the 2nd or 3rd power I press works
*powers giving the "recharging" message when the icon shows as fully recharged
It is frustrating, as I have a number of villains on Infinity I would like to play. Again, Liberty: no issues outside or in instances. Infinity: fine outside. Once I head to an instance, I'm given dial-up model flashbacks.
Also so far, day of week and time of day do not matter. -
Hopefully I'll be around tonight to run LGTF with Schierke. I haven't run that one in ages, every time I plan on it something seems to interfere. :P

Quote:I have been seeing this exact same thing on infinity lately. I play on both infinity and protector, protector is just fine while infinity is having the problems you listed. I did a synapse tonight and the whole team was getting bad skill lag and rubberbanding. I kept an eye on the netgraph and wasn't getting any unusual spikes, so it doesn't seem like a latency issue. The only issue I had that was different from your post was we had some of the lag issues outdoors also, when we fought babbage.I have been getting heavy duty lag on Infinity.

I noticed this last night for the first time. I have to say, as bugs go this one kinda creeped me out. I think they should leave the head off and put in a green head flame vfx instead.
-
If the next one is LGTF we should hold off until another week, currently the Hamidon's green mitos are unkillable.
-
Yep, same here, I got my 69 month rewards on all my characters, even though I think I should only be at 57 or something around there. I sent in a bug report, I'm guessing something happened during the maintenance Thursday morning.

Not sure if this is a bug or working as intended, but the hero version of shadowfall and the villain version have different VFX, the main difference being that villains have a big dark "fuzzball" in the middle of their shadowfall. I didn't realize there was a difference until a friend made a dark defender and I noticed I could see her character's feet. Anyway, here's a screenshot showing the difference:
If this is working as intended, is there any way to have both options available via power customization? -
The Singularity VG on Protector has been around since CoV launch (well, technically it's been around since my first villain hit 10, but that's basically the same thing). The group has never had more than a handful of people and their alts at any time, and it's currently just home to my girlfriend and I, but at least it's still around.

February 21st (Justin Augustine and Faathim TFs)
Sign me up for both on Yambu (50 Ill/Kin Controller) and my girlfriend on LouKaish (50 Emp/Archer). -
The trial went very smoothly. We managed to get a full team and plowed through everything without any trouble. Thanks to all those that joined up!
-
I'm planning on running the 2nd hero respec trial (lvl 34-43) this saturday, at 5pm PST. Meet up near the contact (Captain James Harlan) if you want to join in, or keep an eye on Protector Watch. Link to wiki info.
-
I'll be there again with Schierke, I've been needing the LRSF forever!
-
I'll join too if there's room, I've got a variety of toons I can bring, so we'll see what's needed.
-
My guess is that the new animation people are completely broken in now and this is his way of letting them take on all the animation bugs while he focuses on things like GR.
The devs have all been very quiet lately, but I see that as a good thing. Every time the devs seem absent like this it ends up being because they were all working on something very big like the invention system or power customization. -

I'll be running the Silver Mantis SF tomorrow night (Jan. 2nd) around noon PST, if you're intested in joining be online at that time and keep an eye on Protector Watch, or just send a tell to @Zaloopa and ask me to hold a spot for you.
-
Ok, looks like I'll have to push this back to 9pm.
-
I don't know, it is pretty bad compared to blueside on protector, or redside on some of the other servers (infinity for example), or even compared to how active our own redside used to be. Recently it just seems like a fluke if you manage to get a large enough team together to do anything.
Its good to know that you run a SF every week though, I'll have to keep an eye out for that now. Also good to know about those channels, I didn't think Protector Task Forces and Protector Monsters were used anymore, I should rejoin them.
Well, since there haven't really been any posts here, my plan will be to run it around 8pm PST, so if anyone that sees this is interested I'll be advertising in Cap Au Diable's broadcast around that time. -
On Tuesday December 22nd (tomorrow) I plan on running the Tarikoss SF (Redside, levels 15-20, 13 merits so roughly 40 minutes).
If you're interested post what time would be best for you here in PST. In the unlikely event that more than 7 people are interested in running this with me I'll be glad to run it multiple times.
This is the beginning of my attempt to at least partially revive the redside on Protector, so expect to see me trying to organize other SFs in the near future. Also join the global channel Protector Watch if you haven't already, I'll be advertising on there whenever we have room for more. -
Name: Crey's Nightmare
Arc ID: 295501
Creator Global Name: @Zaloopa
Level Range 40-54
Morality Heroic
Villain Groups Crey, Carnies, Custom Group
Mission Count: 4
Description: Missing psychics, desperate Carnies, and Crey somehow right in the middle of everything. Help the Conclave of Psychics unravel this mystery. -
How about the cave map that is under the graveyard in sharkhead. It appears at the beginning of Mako's second arc on the mission "Interrogate Circle leaders" and it's just a really small cave but the entrance is inside a crypt, so I've always thought it was kinda cool.

Nope, this is a brand new stalker I made for i16 so no IOs of any kind. This is also the first EA stalker I've ever tried to make, so I wasn't sure if this is a new bug or an old one.
