Since Issue 8 a number of maps are no longer working in demos for some reason. The only solution found for now is to swap out the regular maps for Steel Canyon, Talos, Atlas Park and others that don't work with their Mayhem Mission maps or outside mission maps. It's not perfect but it seems to work.

You've pretty much hit the nail on the head. I'm at the point now where I'm doing a demorecord simply to get the position of the camera and my character. From there I basically remove everything else(if I can) and add in only the items I need. The large group shots in the last issue were a pain to do as I had to edit the demo, launch it, check to see if everything worked, stop it, fix problems, launch it again and so on until everything lined up just right. Worth the effort though.

Yeah, you do. I've known of you for a long time, but due to the long intervals between comics and your lack of cross-posting (darn rules!), a lot of people might pass you by. And even if they do see you, the name Sparky might not stand out.

To me, though, it does. I've been reading your stuff for a while now, and it's fantastic. You have a great talent in not only creating these, but keeping a solid story with incredible amounts of humor.

Thanks for the praise, my ego feels sufficiently inflated now. I truly wish I could put out the comic on a more regular basis but unfortunately work tends to get in the way. Maybe I can try a biweekly comic... anyway I enjoy doing the comic so I'll keep going for as long as I am able.

If you want to have a cameo all you have to do is send me your character data from a demorecord(post it here or PM me). Alternatively you can provide a screenshot and I'll do my best to reproduce the character. Also any personality quirks and catch phrases you can provide will help. And don't forget to include the character's AT and powersets.

Good to see everyone seems to be enjoying the comic so far. I'll be getting to work on the next issue right away, or at least after I've had some fun with Issue 8.

If you click on account options you can increase the max picture size so they don't get resized. The default is 128kb I believe.

I've played around with the demo editing and I know how hard it can be to get multiple characters into a shot with all the emotes timed correctly to get a screenshot. Now multiply that by 4 to 8 per page for 24 pages. That's alot of work per comic. That's not even including the time it takes Sparky to come up with a story and run around in game and make pre-demos to build on.

I dieing to see more issues but I do realize I'm just ganna have to wait just like everyone else.

Maybe Sparky should just hire an assistant. Someone like Hyper for the extra speed.

Everything used to be so much easier when it was just Sparky in the comic but I can't seem to stop adding more characters. Doing demoedits has really let me go wild with some shots that I would never been able to do when I was just cutting and pasting characters from different screenshots. It can be time consuming but I find it's well worth it. If I recall correctly there are only two or three completely unmodified screenshots in the last comic while others only had a small edit like a time change.

The whole process wouldn't take so long if I didn't have to work. But work gets me money so I can play the game and occasionally buy food.

No more takers on the cameos? I could really use a few more villains.

Sweet! I can't wait to get my hands on this and play around with it. Maybe I can finally do the video that I've been thinking about for a while.

After far too much procrastinating, and just plain ignoring it, issue #11 is finally complete. Actually it was complete about three weeks ago but it is being delayed in being put up on cohcomics.com. So I decided to upload it to Photobucket which I apologize for as I know some people, including myself, are blocked from viewing anything on there while at work. I'm putting the comic up now as I shall need some help from readers for the next issue.

I did my best to get all the cameos in but a few(Xyfen, Cape Mike, and SHi O Motarasu) will have to wait until issue 12. Sorry guys. And that is what I need help with. I need more heroes and villains, especially villains, for cameos. All I need is the demorecord info for your character. Simply copy and paste it here or send it to me in a PM. If you don't know how to do a demorecord I'll accept a clear screenshot and I will do my best to replicate your character's look. I'll also need their archtype and powersets as well as their battlecry if they have one.

I shall do my very best and try to get the comic done as quickly as possible and get in as many cameos as I can. And as always check out cohcomics.com for other great fan made comics.

Only one for me but she's a real hand full. Just ask Statesman.
