    I think you meant to have the two highlighted parts as "who did Player C sell Recipe X to" and "Recipe X BOUGHT!" respectively.

  4. There are no recipes that are specific to a particular TF, no - each TF simply gives you "a Pool C recipe" that is appropriate for your character's level. That said, there will be certain Pool C recipes that cap out at level 30 that would be attainable from the Hess TF (by level 30 characters and below) but wouldn't be available from the Quaterfield TF (as recipes awarded by that would all be 40-50, and some recipes in Pool C won't be available at that level).

    In general though the Dev's want to avoid giving anyone a reason to "farm" particular TFs, Trials, missions and mobs. At the moment they seem to be doing ok, though the short TFs will always be popular I think simply because they will be an easier way to get a Pool C recipe.

    They are - that particular recipe is one of the known Pool D (Trial) ones. I think we have all the high level Pool D recipes - we took a big census at the first Hero Hami defeat and despite getting dozens of drops, they were all one of seven types. The 8th Pool D we know of is one that caps out below Hami-level (awarded from a Respec Trial).
  5. Yes you can do each TF/SF/Trial as many times as you want and get a Recipe each time. The only limitation is that you can't get another within 4 hours of getting one (at least not on the same character) - though TFs and Trials are counted separately - so for example you could do a Trial, get a Pool D, and then do a quick TF and get a Pool C, even if it was less than 4 hours since you got the Pool D. If you then did another quick TF then you wouldn't get another Pool C recipe if you completed it less than 4 hours after you got the other Pool C. Also the States TF, Recluse SF and Respec Trials reward screen recipes are once every 24 hours.

    Yes you can trade (for 0 inf if you wish) Recipes to other characters, but you can't trade between a hero and a villain (even at the Consignment House).

    The devs have expressly said that non-door missions do not get Pool B drops. So, if he was doing a hunt mission, it would have to be a Pool A drop, as far as I know.

    That's what was confusing me! Admittedly my post probably wasn't very clear, but I didn't understand what the poster was saying. I wasn't sure if he was suggesting it was a 'street hunt', and that the recipe came after the reward for completing the mission; but as you pointed out a recipe shouldn't drop in that case - he could have got a Pool A from the last mob that got him the "Defeat x" though.

    I was just wondering if he had meant something else when he said 'street mission' - perhaps a paper or police band mission? In which case he was probably confirming it as Pool B, which is what I would expect for that recipe (since we currently have AA???? for that set, and the sixth is a proc, so likely to be C, which would make the set likely to follow the AABBCC pattern).

    Oh and please keep these reports coming in - I will probably recreate this into a guide post once it all goes live, but it will still take us some time before we see the list fully populated.

    Hmm - I don't have Acc/Confuse listed under Malaise's Illusions, and it doesn't appear in ParagonWiki's IO Enhancement Set page either. It might be a previous version of one of the other members of the set.

    Thanks for finding the others that PW had that I didn't though - hopefully we should know enough about the remaining sets soon to fit them all to patterns once we know them all (it certainly looks like there are at least two others that I can see so far).
  9. Sure, here are my current listings, with a few notes beforehand...

    Note 1: Recipe names may differ slightly from what you had before as I am using a more up to date list (which should hopefully now reflect the enhancements that actually make up the sets in game); I have prefixed 'specials' and 'procs' with a + to differentiate them from standard enhancers. They should all still match up in terms of the order they appear in sets though.

    Note 2: In this list I am now taking all Uncommon Recipes to be Pool A (as it seemed certain to be the case given the reports up until that point - and all reports since have simply confirmed that).

    Note 3: One discrepancy so far was that the 2nd Pacing of the Turtle recipe was reported as B, but I believe it is extremely likely to be A so that it fits a standard AABBCC pattern (no other set has so far shown a ?BBB?? pattern). I have left it as Pool A for now, but with a note in my spreadsheet until it can be verified.

    Note 4: Several patterns now seem to be emerging for the sets and I am confident that most Sets follow one of the following patterns:

    AAA
    ABC
    AAAA
    AAAAA
    AAAAAA
    AABBCC
    ABCDAC

    I haven't yet filled in sets that 'strongly' follow one of these patterns, though I may do soon but with an asterisk or something to indicate "needs to be verified". Also all 'special' or 'proc' enhancements look likely to be Pool C (except for three which are Uncommon and are A) - again not assumed in this list at present. There may be other patterns too, but these are the ones that I have identified so far.

    Note 5: I still have very few reports for Pool D that have not come from high level Trials (so most are from 30-53 Sets). If anyone would like to run some low level Trials that would help a lot (e.g. Cavern of Transcendence perhaps) as I suspect some of the lower level sets include Pool D recipes - and it may reveal additional patterns of the above form.

  10. Currently we have 24 Rares down as Pool A, and of course all 252 Uncommons. That makes Pool A a touch under 9% Rare at the moment.

    We still have 119 Rares unaccounted for though, and I suspect the majority of those are Pool A too. I suspect the final count will be closer to 25% Rare, if the patterns I've spotted so far end up being correct.

It looks to me that the Invention: Resist Damage was for defeating Lord Recluse (Pool A), Sting of the Manticore Dam/End was an end of mission drop (Pool B), and Stupefy End/Stun/Rech was the end of TF drop (Pool C), with Unbounded Leap +Stealth being the additional Pool C.

    I have just one minor quibble: Sonic Dispersion has the same radius of effect as Forcefield's Dispersion Bubble - you said "Unfortunately the sphere is pretty small compared to Force Field’s Dispersion Bubble". I think perhaps you confused Dispersion Bubble with Force Bubble?

I say this because, for instance, a Kinetics user could possibly hit a 4 or 5 stack level with Transfusion in the duration of the first -regen buff applied (assuming they hit all 4-5 Transfusion casts), therefore getting upwards of ~28-35% -regen debuff. Am I under a false presumption with these powers?

    There's no specific limit on those powers, no. My 'two or three times' was simply a ballpark number based on the cast and base recharge times and the duration of the regen debuff (and assuming the player won't simply be spamming Transfuse/TG and nothing else). With appropriate recharge slotting and speed buffing, then if you can stack 4 or 5 of them in 20 seconds (which is the duration of the regen debuff in those powers), then you should be able to get to a fairly decent level of -regen, yes (up to around what benumb used to give against the higher AV Res).

    Are you sure about this one Devilsrope? I only ask because it would be the third recipe in the Pacing of the Turtle set to be Pool B, and so far the most I've seen in other sets is two Pool B's - and there do seem to be some patterns too, with the "two B" sets looking like they are AABBCC. Up until this one, Pacing of the turtle was ??BB??, which led me to expect Dam/Slow (which is the second in the set), to be an A. Mistaking an A for a B (or vice versa) can be easy to do in the rigth circumstances - since you can get an A off the last mob which completes a mission.

    I've left it as Pool B for the time being in my spreadsheet and in the summary above until I know any better, but I've added a note about thinking it "should" be Pool A.

    Damage Resistance debuffs are not specifically resisted by AV's like other debuffs (though if the AV has a shield-type power that gives them Damage Resistance to certain damage types, then damage resistance debuffs for those damage types are less effective - but that's the same for any mob or player in the game). Damage debuffs are also not affected by AV resistances.

    I agree you do have a point; 15% of a debuff may not seem much better than 6% of a debuff, however the main difference is that these debuffs at least now have a meaningful effect when stacked. A single defender or controller probably won't be able to slow an AV much, but 3 or 4 will be able to have a much bigger impact than they used to.

    Well it might not be as much of a difference as you think. The base regeneration of an AV is 20% of their hitpoints per minute, and the most it can be reduced to is 10% of that (or 2% per minute). An unresistable -500% easily took it to that limit (the majority of the debuff effectively being wasted). Now that it is resistable and ends up being -75%, it's still almost all the way to the regen floor anyway.

    For example, consider a typical level 50 AV, with 28271 hitpoints. Their base regeneration rate is 5654 HP/min. Previously, LR would reduce that to 2% regen per minute, or 565 HP/min. That works out as an effective DPS (i.e. the hitpoints per second that the AV isn't regenerating due to the debuff) of 84.8 [(5654-565.4)/60]. With the changes, LR now reduces it to 5% regen per minute, or 1414 HP/min, which works out as an effective DPS of 70.7.

    So really all this does is change the effective DPS of LR from 84.8 to 70.7 - not that big a change for Rad.

    Conversely, powers like Benumb which were always resisted (and previously it was at 94% rather than 85%), have gone from an effective DPS of just 28.3 up to 70.7 (the same as LR).

    Interestingly, powers like Transfusion and Twilight Grasp (with a base regen debuff of just 50% rather than 500%), go from an effective DPS of just 2.8 to 7.1 - still not very much at all (though theirs is stackable - up to two or three times).

    Poison is the only one that really gets the shaft. Their previously unresisted base 50% debuff used to have an effective DPS of 47.1 (and stackable too so they could also match the capped rate of 84.8); now it is the same 7.1 as transfusion and twilight grasp.

Indeed - although there certainly seem to be several patterns emerging (and it is looking like the uncommons are only Pool A), I'm a bit hesitant to make any suppositions just yet when we have only accounted for a third of the Set Recipes - but we're making good progress. I'm running a few lower level characters at the moment to try and get some more lower level recipe drops.

    In particular some of the lower level Pool D recipes would help a lot, so if anyone fancies running some respecs with 24-30ish characters then that would be great.

    At the moment there is a clear discrepancy between the list of enhancements we have here (which corresponds to what Recipes are named in-game), and what enhancements are actually created and the aspects they enhance. The majority seem OK but there are some distinct oddities. I'm hoping that Iakona can get hold of the list of the enhancements themselves so that we can directly compare them and then show the Devs and ask them which list they actually meant to use for the sets.

    For Example Trap of the Hunter is listed here (and its component Recipes are named / listed in Wentworths) as:

    I'm using the same masterlist as Arcanaville mentioned in her thread - though I'm using the version from Iakona's inventions planner spreadsheet (it should be the same though I think as Iakona entered the info on ParagonWiki). Right now several of the enhancements are labelled differently in game, but as the in-game descriptions haven't been completely changed themselves anyway (and several are also mislabelled between the recipe name and the enhancement they actually create), I'm using Iakona's older list until he updates it to reflect the current build on test. Where there are differences I am comparing with the Wentworth listings to try to ascertain which particular recipe it is likely to be on Iakona's list.

    My current count is:

    Just a quick note on this - at the moment I am working on the basis that Recipes from the STF/LRSF reward window are Pool C. It certainly seems to be consistent with the rest of the findings so far. I'll try to get Dev confirmation on that though.

  25. Ah I managed to find the old numbers lurking around too so edited the table so you can now see 'before and after'. Thanks as always to Iakona for providing them in the first place!

    Just for reference purposes, a Level 50 player with Lingering Rad (-500% Regen) will now apply -75% Regen to a level 50 AV. Once you start going higher than that, the level mods start coming into play as well, so against a level 54 AV, -500% Regen becomes just -31.2% (0.13 * 0.48 * -500).
