  3. Nine thousand posts, and not a darn thing useful to say in any of'em! Ah, delicious, tasty milestones.

  4. The best gift anyone can give you is a hug, if you ask me. Or a few hours of hanging out time! The memories are better then anything else.

But, I'm wired wrong. I hope today's at least a good day for you, Pogo. :3 *Ker-HUG.*
  5. Ahhh, I get it now. Switching from two 1gb up to two 2gb sticks. That makes a lot more sense, and I can support that. o7

    Sounds good to me, Fedor-mang.

Ok folks, tech question. I am running 2 gigs with XP SP2, I want to add memory. I was thinking of grabbing 2 2 gig chips. If I am right it will recognize like 3.2 gigs of that, but it will still work right? I just won't get all the memory usage until I move to Windows 7 at some point. Is my reasoning sound?
Sounds par, but why two gig chips? >> Unless you're running at different bus speeds, your current stick should be compatible with any other stick you pair it up with. Unless you have a better purpose for the spare chip.

Or I'm being silly and reading it too literal, which I'm also known to do on occasion. <_<

Mine isn't. Infact, I actively tell people to stop making a big deal out of it. Took'em 26 years to finally get the hint. It was blissful.

But, felicitous annual hatching day, Pogo! (I think... I know I read it at some point [not today, I totally skipped to the end today], but now I'm not so sure. I'll fact-check and edit this as necessary.)

And good morning everyone else! Or afternoon, I suppose, looking at the time...

    Seconded.

Wicked-a job, Eddy, and grats to Gray Huntress for scoring a very beautiful piece. Has an awesome comic-booky feel to it, and the colors work together nicely.
  10. *Tumbles in, wearing some steampunk-mecha powered armor bits.* I hate when I have an awesome character concept, but make it at the wrong location and am unsure of my ability to favorably replicate it somewhere else.

The concept in question? Ellen Holmes, genius-grade high school student, decides she wants to be a super-hero to fulfill her extra curricular activities to gain entrance into a good college ('Saved the world' is a pretty big activity!). After winning a box of random power armor parts at a police auction, she throws it together into a ramshackle suit, paints it bright girly pink, and straps on some rocket boots. Saving the day time!

I may port her to City Of here in the future, after I pin down a few more things in my head. *Straps on her goggles.* But today, I'm gonna clean the FoC. And it'll take all of the steam-powered mecha goodness I can manage to tackle this feat.

*Hefts an auto-broom, and charges the FoC.* Yargh.
  11. Felicitous annual hatching day, Commander. :3 Hope today and the year following it are awesome.

  13. Exhausted, fairly insomnia-driven, and grumpy that I won't have hot water for a day or so at the most (or it better be, or I'll have to hurt someone.. Two days with no water, and now reduced to just cold is kind of mean).

Other then that, kind of okay. Testing out Champions thanks to a friend having a spare Beta key... Better then I expected, but not enough to really hold my interest beyond the beta stage. Didn't really expect much going into it, though, so I'm not really all that surprised.

Got through my list of projects, and found out... Plumbers are rescheduling on me. Bastids... no hot water today. :< I really hope I can get in a nice, relaxing hot shower soon. Rather uncouth, it is.

    *Sips her coffee.* o.q

I do certainly hope you lot are having a good day today. o.q I'm mostly waiting for the plumbing to finish getting installed (just hot water installation for the upstairs - finally!), and trying to figure out what I'm doing on the weekend. Local D&D group is short two members again, and I'm hoping to turn it into another night of board games. Preferably something I won't win this time, because I still feel horrible after last weekend (I curbstomped the group in two consecutive games).

Also still plotting out my Fallout: Kenya game, and finally managed to get myself a list of critters that I intend to morphize into the appropriate wasteland beasties. And maybe do up equipment lists for everyone (as in, what they're all getting for free) at some point.

But for the rest of today? I am revelling in the fact I've actually gotten mostly good night's sleep all week.

EDIT: Ooh, and I saw the GW2 trailer as well. I drooled a little bit, and may have to consider picking it up.
  17. *Curls up all sleepy like.* 3 more hours, until the plumbers come and take out all the old copper pipes. That I get to babysit, until my mom gets here and can sign off on things herself. z.z

Don't really wanna deal with it, so I'm trying to stay up as long as possible, so I can just go to sleep when she shows up.
  18. I condemn the person below me to the most horrible and dreadful fate known to human kind, and some alien species:

To watch the entire run of Mystery Science Theatre 3000... WITHOUT THE ACTUAL SHOW PRESENCE! By that, I mean a never ending marathon of the worst movies in existance. Some new features shall be added in, from across the galaxy, forcing them to suffer an inevitably mind-crushing parade of fail. Pure, weapons-grade Hollywood (and it's interstellar equivlants) failium ingrate. A failboat the size of a hundred worlds, doomed to run over your mind like a truck!

...Oh. And you get to spend all of your time with two robots. THAT ARE NOT AMUSING! No, one is a whiny, vapid emo twit that thinks fanfiction is the besterest thing ever and won't shut up about it, and the other is a nerd that will go on endlessly about how much 'cooler' his avatar in a game is then the current movie's protagonist (and you're forced to agree with him due to just how bad the movies themselves are).

Eventually... they will be destroyed. Slowly. Painfully. AGONIZINGLY!

That, or Iunno. Maybe I'll go classic, and just destroy the person below me with a Grilled Cheese On Rye cannon.
  19. The question is, mang... Did you catch the shark? :3c

Seriously, sorry to hear about the bad luck. :/ Hope you get a replacement for it soon, that kind of problem always sucks.

Humility is a virtue. :3 I think you deserve a top ten slot, honestly, because you're very talented and have given a fair amount back to the community (via your videos). Boundless enjoyment and memories in each one, that just continues on even if you've stopped working on new ones.

Honestly, if I had to pick a handful of names... Hickman (Hickman, Hickman... Pantslessness. Shameless plug), you, Arcanaville, Memphis_Bill, and Aetthorn are probably people I'd give a top ten spot to. Maybe BaBs, Jay, or Castle as well (as two of those do post a lot, and it's much appreciated; And Jay's work on the costume creator is awesome. It's by far my favorite part of the game, and there's few things he's put out that I didn't think had at least one positive aspect).

For some other board representations... ShoNuff and Thors_Assassin also'd get honorable mentions. They've done a ton of really awesome things for their respective boards of choice (Comic and Hero/Villain Culture and Screenshots & Fanart, respectively) over the couple of years I've been here. Maybe not top ten, though.. Top 20, definately.

    Phil's definately a top 20, too.

...If I ever get on the top 25 (again, anyway), I'll be confuzzled beyond reason.

(This has been a Random Fox Announcement.)
  21. ...If someone locates my jaw, could they kindly return it to me in the future?
  22. Oh, I'm fully aware. It's just a hassle to do the constant loading just to get set up when I have enough to work finish up the quest easily enough. I just don't have enough to do it easily. So it'll be a bit of a live fire zone for a while, instead of my usual total domination. I remember the stuff that happens at the Detention Camp from watching someone else play (at a significantly lower level then I'm attempting it at), and with how the game likes to scale up encounters... It's gonna be a less then ideal situation.

But, eh. I thrive on less then ideal situations. I'm one tough bitty to take out - if the Capitol Building and Fort Bannister are my ideas of 'fun firefights', this'll be no big deal.

EDIT: Though, my personal favorite so far has been Operation: Anchorage. I'm horribly disappointed that it was so short, and that you can't really get the cool Winterized Combat Helmet with facemask without cheating. :/

I'm probably just jinxing myself, though. :<

I used to routinely visit Baltimore. :3

Really, I was more alluding to Point Lookout (via Fallout) then anything in particular about the state itself. I spent yesterday morning getting all but one achievement for it, and have to say that it's really not a place I relish spending any significant time for it. Still working on The Velvet Curtain, but that one shouldn't take me too long. Though I wish I'd brought either my MIRV or Miss Launcher along for the ride... bit late now. Don't wanna have to reload just to get my shiny toys.

Currently working on a Fallout: Kenya game for my local gaming group, which should shape up to be thoroughly amusing. All I've pieced together so far, is that much like Point Lookout (that was mostly shielded from the nuclear strikes and not nuked directly), the only thing that will really effect the landscape/wildlife of Kenya for the game is what happened on October 30th, 2077 (All of the radioactive particulates that got knocked up by having around 45% of the world's land masses nuked from orbit finally falling, resulting in widespread extinction of plant/animal life), and anything from specifically the Glow incident (the main repository of the FEV virus, and the progenitor location for it - all of which got thoroughly distributed in small amounts globally when West Tek was directly nuked; If not on the 23rd, then on the 30th when the particulates fell) would have shaken a few things up at least locally.

...Which gives me a little bit of a plot hook idea. Hooray, stream of consciousness writing!

I'm somewhat sneakier, though my current character is running around in the Leather Rebel outfit, a Pre-War Hat, and the Lucky Shades (+1 CHA, +1 LUK, +1 PER) to do my bidness. I save stealth for situations that I know are going to suck royally (Yao Guai Tunnels [Cursed ninja bears!], Deathclaw Sanctuary), and just sort of muscle my way through everything else (Agility/Luck 10, Finesse, Better Criticals, 28% DR before armor, and 100 Small Guns) with my current collection of surprises. Though, I think I'm currently sitting at... 90 Energy Weapons, and 98 Big Guns right now as well. Doesn't matter much what it is, I pack a whallop with it. Though most of my 'carrying around' guns tend to be Small Arms (Lincoln's Repeater, Terrible Shotgun, Perforater, Victory Rifle). Though if I'm going into a hot zone, I bring a little extra firepower (Miss Launcher, or a mostly fully repaired Gatling Laser).

Not sure yet how I'm going to do against an Albino Radscorpion. Though, last I was in the Capital Wastes (3 levels ago, sitting at 24 now), I was 2 or 3 shotting Giant Radscorpions if they saw me first. One-shot, if I saw them first (and doing the same to Deathclaws, whom I almost always saw first). We'll see how it goes - probably going to suck the first few times.

...may be incentive for me to start picking up some of the other custom weapons and lugging them around. Like the Shishkebab, or Railway Rifle.
