Climbing to top of soap box.
I think it's safe to assume you have never tried a F2P game. I suggest trying one before you wish it upon CoH. The one HUGE factor that makes CoH head and shoulders above F2P games is that people are paying a monthly fee in order to come and have a good time. Most are interested/serious enough to learn the mechanics of the game, along with how to play their toons while gaming with other people that share that motivation. One thing I am fairly safe in assuming is when I join a PUG in Talos or beyond - the people have a farily good understanding of the basic mechanics. In short if someone is paying a monthly fee they have committed themselves at some level to playing the game. Without that commitment you get a lot of people that are just turds.
As for lvling faster, in the 'old days' it took a good month to get to lvl 20. Now I can get to lvl 20 in one gaming session on a full team running regular missions arcs. To be honest I think they have made lvling a bit too easy. It's human nature - the amount of effort needed to achieve a goal is directly proportional to the value we place on the said goal and ultimately, it's not the goal that's truly important, but the journey to achieve it. I really do enjoy playing my lowbies, often more then I enjoy playing my lvl 50's. To me it's the challenge that makes it interesting and not just 'a grind'.
Finally, if you run the TF's in order and at the minimum lvl for each, they are quite challenging and you will only need to run them once to get to a sufficient lvl to run the next one. At one point serveral other players and myself did just that. My toon made it to lvl 44-45ish just running each TF in order. I only played that toon with the others in the 'group' and we were all min lvl or there about for each TF - it was a heck of a lot of fun, very challenging and probably the fastest I ever leveled a toon. (actually playing time vs lvl's, not farming, tax tags and other options extra)
Climbing down from soap box.
Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Have a happy and safe New Years.

One of the reasons I always hesitate to respec my toons is that I end up spending a lot of time having to going through and removing extraneous powers and 're-set' my trays. I ask a GM recently if the Lock Powers in Tray option (via the drop down menu) will lock your powers in your trays during a respec and apparently it will not. I would suggest an option that will allow you to lock powers in trays and lock extraneous powers out of the trays during a repsec. I am old, I am used to my trays the way they are, when I have to put them all back together again it makes me unhappy.. (smile). Any thoughts?

Why am I not getting credit for the stuff I'm crafting. I build lvl 35 stock IO's for the SG. Yet after building litterally hundreds of them, I am still having to buy Receips instead of getting credit for crafting/building them. As I have my doubts about my ability to ever find this post again. Please shoot any reply's to Wazniak22@yahoo.com. Thanks in advance.

[QUOTE=Laevateinn;2536034]Secondary effects of attacks (e.g. the DefDebuff in most weapon sets) are not worth slotting for.
Was thinking more about the slow powers for WS on this one. They do have a profound effect, or atleast they used too - haven't played mine in a while. Thanks for the info on the Acc
ie.
1 Acc max for +0
2 Acc almost max for +2
is this inclusive of bosses and AV's?
Goblins will attack what's in front of them, if you tell them where in front of them is!! -
Hello Folks, I'm relatively new to the Forums, mainly because I would rather play then read, and finding the place to put down thoughts and idea's about the game seems a bit over taxing for me. (yeah I'm lazy too).
Historically speaking I have always slotted my attacks 3 ACC on everything (missing 3-4 times in a row is super frustrating especially if it's a heal) and then am left with the delima of whether or not I should slot 3 secondary effects or 3 damage.
I was really happy when SoA's and Widow's arrived on the scene because they have a default accuracy built into them that cost no endurace so that attacks could be slotted 3 Dam/3 Debuf or 3 Dam/ 1 End Red/ 2 Debuf ect ad nossium.
One of the suggestion I made (that led to me being here) is that PB and WS get a default accuracy built in (like offensive training for SoA and Widows) so that they can slot secondary powers or just damage (lets face it they have a load of powers to slot and having to put 3 acc on each one is not only costly but reduces the ability to do damage and/or debuff or slow) and would make them much, much more interesting and fun to play.
I was curious as to how others deal with the Acc vs Secondary effects in terms of slotting. Very recently I have noticed that maybe (gasp) I don't have to put 3 Acc on everything. Will have to see how this goes as far as hitting is concerned. But so far 2 Acc So's seems to hit as much as 3 Do's. (yeah, I am good at math and I know the numbers but I also have been alive long enough to know not to trust "the numbers"). If anyone has any words of wisdom to share on this I would really like to hear them. ((note I grew up on scrappers and scrappers HATE to miss))

That's it man ... game over man, game over! What the frak are we gonna do now?! What are we gonna do?!
I am lost, and new.
Can someone direct me to the place you put suggestions? Would like to suggest that exiting a your base from a mission map after eating dirt takes you back to the door of the mission that toasted you. Otherwise not much point in having a Medical Center in a base.
As you were!
