Seeing the other supers jumping into the fray, Puddle switched to a different tactic so he didn't kill them.
His arms started to thin until they came to a single point. That point was then fired at various joints in the Clockworks' bodies, helping to slow them down (And also taking out some of the smaller ones, like the Gears) -
The Puddle-Man jumped up into the air to avoid the oncoming lightning balls. While in midair, his arms changed into something that looked a lot like broken tree stump. He threw his arms in an arc and peppered Babbage and the Assembler Princes with a hail of metal spines.
-
As Dax and Martin appeard, the Puddle-thing scanned them too.
"This is going to be fun..." remarked the voice in his head. -
((Is still confused about the stuff I attacked dissapearing into Oblivion, but oh well. Post deleted))
-
((Just a quick idea I had. Gonna use it while I have the chance))
As Bladewing took off, the Puddle-man looked at the SOulhound with the same intensity he had looked at bladewing, again, almost like he was scanning it. -
((Darn it! I leave for five hours and miss the first battle! ))
Right behind the Soulhound, the puddle-man ((Anyone wanna suggest a name? That's the one thing I haven't decided on yet.)) Suddenly melted up through the floor as though he were intangible.
He stared at Bladwing with an intensity that would've unnerved most people, almost as though he was scanning him... -
The puddle-man looked up at Ghoul as he made his doubts known.
"There is something off about this one..." His schizo-voice said, "Keep an eye on him..."
The puddle-man nodded and took off into the air after the Soulhound -
((He came in during the briefing, but after it was posted (if that makes sense) ))
-
"And so it begins..."
The metallic (yea, I forgot to mention that last time, my puddle is a liquid metal) puddle began to take form. It slowly rose up into a shape resembling a metallic humanoid. It finished transforming in about two seconds and just stood there waiting for the Soulhound to get on its way. -
((Well, I'm kinda late, but I haven't missed much, so I suppose I'll hop right in.))
"It is complete..."
The voice rang in his head, apparently extremely excited at whatever it was talking about.
"Find it..."
What looked like a puddle on the side of a street in Steel Canyon suddenly moved. It was just a slight quiver. But soon it went from a quiver to full out sliding across the streets faster than any hero could possibly hope to go. It found what used to be the gate to Boomtown, but was now closed. Without even stopping the puddle sped forward and slid underneath the gate and straight into the Security Chief's briefing.
((Don't you wish you knew what it did?)) -
Gah! And here I was hoping someone had tried to start going again! Darn you El_D!
-
((Sorry I haven't posted in a while guys. Been busy with other things. As for the nightmares, that's entirely your thing. I have no control over your characters' dreams and it's up to you whether or not they survive. As for Amadren, he's getting ready to make the tower invisible when the huge evil demon-zombie army goes by. As for the Avatar...Well, you'll see. ))
-
((I probably won't be posting for a while. Since almost all my characters are "busy" at the moment, I shouldn't interrupt the story too much. When Darkness' army reaches my tower, the spellweavers will make it intangible and Amadren will help to make it and everything in it intangible and completely invisible.))
-
Amadren looked up from his book at Falcon Strike.
"Hmmm?" Oh, well, no, not really, not at the moment. I've been doing some research on the Pantheon. They're quite an interesting bunch. From what I can tell, some of them can hardly stand the others, like Merina and Magnis for instance, and while they can't actually cause each other bodily harm due to an agreement they all signed, they take every oppurtunity to embarras one another.
Amadren then realized that Falcon had no idea what he was talking about.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I tend to ramble when I'm interupted while studying. There isn't much going on here at the moment...
And then Amadren heard it. It was a very faint noise, but that wasn't why he noticed it. It was in Demonic. Amadren's eyes went wide with surprise. He put his hand out if front of him and a viewing portal opened in front of him. In it was Darkness' huge army.
"Interesting..."
He turned to Falcon Strike.
"If you want to be of some help, go tell the spellweavers to get ready to maintain an intangibility on the tower. They should be on the level below this. Ask for X'torh, he's in charge of the spellweavers. -
((If you're referring to Xivilai, Amadren still has him in time out. :P If it's ever needed, you'll find out where he is.
As for the Avatar...Well, he's somewhere. For reasons that will not be disclosed, he is currently hiding. As for his "feminine" side, he actually has 2. Sanandra, who has yet to take control in this story, and Merina, the sane one who sees other ways to solving problems besides blasting it into Oblivion like Omnis and Magnis do.)) -
The Avatar looked down at the cloud descending upon the 7 contestants. Illthar smirked as he saw the beast plummet to the ground.
"That should keep them busy for a while"
Then the Avatar dissapeared.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
"What the?!"
Amadren had been watching the fight unfold in the forest area through one of his probes. This latest outburst was to the dissapearance of the Avatar.
Amadren snapped his fingers and his little imp appeared at his side
"You rang?"
"Shut up. I need you to go through my Library and bring me any books I might have on the Pantheon.
"Wouldn't you know if you had any?"
"Haven't you gone through that library enough times to know that I have absolutely no clue what's in there?"
The imp simply shrugged its shoulders and dissapeared. it reappeared a few seconds later with a single book in its hands. The book was constantly shifting between the colors of the Pantheon.
"I think this is the book you wanted."
Amadren grabbed the book from the imp, dismissed him, and then sat down to do some major studying. -
((Getting the heck out of there would be a VERY good idea ))
-
((It's your move Burning/Prodiguy/El_D))
-
((Muahahahahahaha My Nightmare Cloud will destroy you all!!!
*ahem* Um, yes. I liked the name H'taed to. It just had a certain ominous ring to it. The name Xabu sounds like some extinct flightless bird from Australia )) -
The cloud finally stopped growing, but it was about the size of a fourth of one the worlds "pie"s. iIt started to descend towards the 7 contestants on the ground.
((Since there's almost no way you'll escape this, I'll tell you what it does. When a person inhales part of the Nightmare Cloud, it will "knock them unconcious" (for lack of a better phrase). While they are unconcious, they are forced to fight their worst nightmares inside their mind. The only way they'll wake up is if they defeat their worst nightmare. Any damage they recieve while fighting their nightmare will be inflicted to their physical body. If they die trying to defeat their worst nightmare...well, you can guess what happens. Good luck! *insert evil laugh here* )) -
((YAY! I love cookies!))
The Avatar rose up into the air. When it got out of range of the 7 contestants, it stretched out its arms where a dark cloud started forming. It kept growing until it was about the size of a room, and then it still kept growing.
"Are you seriously doing what I think you're doing Illithar?!
"Shut up, Omnis. This is much more effective than what you were doing."
((Behold the Nightmare Cloud! It's one of Illithar's specialty moves. Word of advice: DO NOT LET IT HIT YOU! But since your characters don't know that, I'll give ya maybe 2 posts to stop me. The Avatar is still invisible at thbis point. The people on the ground just see a big cloud of darkness and the occasional lightning strike in it.)) -
((The Avatar is just kinda floating there and generally Amadren doesn't mutter into midair unless he's ticked. So yea, kinda ))
-
Amadren noticed Falcon hit the ground through his forest screen.
"Some ninja you are..." he muttered.
As he said this he opened a portal to the med-bay in his tower below Falcon. No sense in losing one of his only allies.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Avatar noticed Night near him and started to jump away. He jumped to a tree about 25 feet away, but then stopped halfway there and was suspended in midair. -
((Woohoo! Looking forward to that day Thunder! ))
