So, was I reading it right that each AT will get one primary and secondary power from its corresponding AT? If so that's awesome!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Every AT gains at least 1 powerset -- Masterminds only get a Secondary, no new Primary. Brutes get 2 new Primaries, and 1 secondary. Everyone else gets 1 Primary and 1 Secondary.

    Which are............

We will be releasing more details of each of Issue 12's features over the course of the coming weeks building up to the launch of the Issue. So, hang tight! We'll have all the goods and details for you in the future!

    Gut the marketting guys, LH

    kkthx
  2. I'm very interested in the power set proliferation. The possibilities, while not quite endless, are a lot closer to endless then they used to be.

    Kudos for that, devs.

Now, Castle, about those Ninjitsu scrappers...

I'm - and this is going to sound odd coming from me, I suppose - on the fence about the epics.

On the one hand - more storyline to explore, woohoo! and the branching powersets, if I'm reading them right, will be very interesting (I'm *assuming* you pick, say, Night Widow and can't take Fortunata.) I look forward to them doing that with more things, including perhaps story arcs. (Though, somehow, I think we'll have more badgers complaining because... it'll be tied to a badge. Get one, don't get the other.)

On the other... well... I'm an arachnos minion. Which isn't, to me, all that exciting. I' far more interested in the power trays, hollows makeover and contact redesign... how's that sound?

(No, I *still* don't want to see Empathy Corruptors. And yes, I do play Redside.)

    [/ QUOTE ]

My sentiments exactly. Though I'm not particularly enthusiastic about the story either.

So, if Cimerora is just another hero zone designed to confront the enemy of time...

    [/ QUOTE ]

    No, it's hero/villain.

    [ QUOTE ]
There is a familiar threat in an ancient land and the Midnighters need the help of both Heroes and Villains to stop it. Players step foot upon the ancient land of the Roman Cimeroran Peninsula..

    [/ QUOTE ]

So that's actually a pile more 35-50 content for Villains.

    [/ QUOTE ]

My apologies, in my rage, I must've missed it.

It's still just more hero content shovelled onto villains.

Yeah, so I'm kinda Angry about this issue. Colour me disappointed.
  6. [ QUOTE ]
The Midnighters hold a secret that could bring the alien assault to an end, but without the help of the Heroes of Paragon City™ it will remain Lost forever.

    [/ QUOTE ]

That is, unless we sneak into the Midnighter's Club to use their coveted Ouroboros Crystal in order to save the day.

yeah, I'm a villain. Savin' the day and infiltratin' arachnos.
  7. So, if Cimerora is just another hero zone designed to confront the enemy of time...

How are villains going to experience the culmination of the Ouroboros arc? Or are those letters just a moment of "oops, I'm terribly sorry, I thought you were a hero.. GTFO of my time zone"?

*sigh* Way to screw villains YET AGAIN.

*HIGHLY disappointed with the "epic" archetype*

    [/ QUOTE ]

You haven't even seen them yet. How could you be disappointed? Did you want evil Kheldians?

I'm thinking once we see the Villain Epics, Heroes will wish Kheldians were as good.

    [/ QUOTE ]

No, I don't want evil Kheldians either. I wanted something that didn't tie me to something I'm already sick of. Arachnos. We fight them in every level range, and have half a dozen scattered "operatives" or "marshals", on top of our end-game triumphant moment of assassinating Lord Recluse...

... in the future, just so I can't take his place.

    Arachnos blow.
  9. [ QUOTE ]
    [ QUOTE ]

Yeah, this is really quite difficult for them. Reskinned player Night Widows and Bane Spiders. Like we're not sick of dark evil shadowy eight legged mean spiders with webs of eight legged evil and shadowy dark evilness led by a demi-god named Lord Recluse.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah man. What's up wit dat? They just right clicked a couple of things and BAM Issue 12. It was just that easy. Game developing is easy.

If I were you man, I'd totally quit.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Why? I don't have to play an archetype I think is boring, unoriginal and distasteful.

Just colour me confused about why, WHY they'd make this arachnos. They should've realised by now that tying our characters into Arachnos is just ... freakin' ... boring.

As for Kheldians, I've seen them RP'd as angels, as energy blasters, as essentially anything. They're not rehashed versions of Longbow though. They're a unique Archetype with a unique storyline.

Jezus. Can we have your stuff now?

Be excited about something for once. This is really nice. Very, very good changes and improvements, new zones, .... but no, *you* wanted something else.

make your own damn game. Then you'll be happy.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Hey thats a pretty legitimate complaint though. Villains are RIGHT back with Arachnos. I can't wait till the RPers get ahold of this. Alot of em are gonna be pissed lol.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well, it'll be a bit easier to role play than Khelds. The fact is that if Villains were given an "outside-the-story-line" epic, the hero side RPers would be screaming that it's not fair. I like the fact that they didn't go the "easy" route and just give Villains Khelds, but they kept it "even" by giving both sides epics that are tied to the story-line of the game.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, this is really quite difficult for them. Reskinned player Night Widows and Bane Spiders. Like we're not sick of dark evil shadowy eight legged mean spiders with webs of eight legged evil and shadowy dark evilness led by a demi-god named Lord Recluse.
  11. hah, and *lmao*, they remade the Hollows... why not a remade Mercy Island?

    [/ QUOTE ]

No, you may not have my stuff because I'm not leaving, as I'm not forced to play this pathetic excuse for a villain "epic". I'll still happily play my Stalkers and enjoy it.

But, see.. yet again we're forced into being Recluse's lackey. This is one of the major complaints many villain players have about this game. I can understand wanting to do something generic as it's incredibly easy to do, but compared to Kheldians, this is a poor, poor archetype.

I'm excited about the other stuff, I guess. Just, talk about a let-down.

  14. That reminds me.

At full health? His Bane Spider spawn is interruptible. Hence why your Dark Defender could tank him without any spawns (Darkest Night applies a constant debuff every half a second).
  15. Nice guide. Makes use of most of my data, too, though I'd like to point out that the yellow (orange) tower is defence, not resistance. 100% defence at least.
  16. *lol*, and everyone thought it was a hoax.

On a positive note, spam seems to be way down on Infinity and Victory where I play. Ignore spammer seems to be working. I haven't recieved a spam email in weeks and only 1 tell in the last month.
So, the process seems to be working. Thanks to all who report as your making my game play more fun.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yes, I've noticed this on Virtue and Pinnacle too. They're practically gone.
  18. [ QUOTE ]
let me restate I do not want this change unless you guys can make a way to kick offline players, which doesn't seem possible without making a "team vote to kick" option that includes both online and offline players on the TF/SF.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Why? Any griefer can do far worse.
  19. [ QUOTE ]
Understandable and thanks for the feedback. However, I would have to advise you to better get to know the people you are grouping with. Simply put, if someone has a reputation for such, don't engage in a task / strike force or trial with them. You would be well advised to only take your most trusted allies with you to tackle such challenging and dangerous missions!

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Blacklist, *chuckle*

I agree, though. Besides -- it'd take a concerted effort from multiple individuals to cause a significant strain on any well built team.
  20. I really like that. I think it's more feasible.

How about allowing a Task Force to stay together with only one member? That way people can still solo Positron.

Ok, I have noticed a few things cropping up in this thread which... interest me.

Certain concepts are being touted as objective descriptors and facts whilst they appear to be subjective to me.

    Examples:
What exactly is the Brute playstyle?
What exactly is 'Fighting continuously' through a mission?

Since these two, plus some others (don't feel like digging back through the thread to find them at the moment), appear to be subjective concepts rather than objective facts, I became curious.

I decided that a better way than bandying words about would be for me to show you how I play and you describe it to me in these subjective contexts so that I (and others) may better understand each other's positions and meanings.

This is a video (cut to 10 minutes due to Youtube not letting me post anything longer) of me running one of my Brutes.

Yes, she is dark armor and the toggles she is running are Dark Embrace, Murky Cloud, Obsidian Shield, Combat Jumping, Death Shroud, and Oppresive Gloom.

Beyond that, I do not wish to influence your response by explaining things as I see them, so watch the video through and let me know what it says to you.

    To everyone:

A picture speaks a thousand words...

    [/ QUOTE ]

It spoke quite a few to me.

    1. lol faceplant on first spawn.

    2. Higher res please, so we can see exactly what's going on.

    3. We all know that a mission loaded with FAMILY mob types is a true test of merit.

Plus, of course, no mention of the build, or what sets have been sunk into it so it can achieve the mighty task of faceplanting to a Warhulk.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Oh and you have never been beaten using any other brute secondary. Why I guess you can say you have been unbeaten in the PvE and maybe the PvP portions of the game since you first started playing huh. What I am saying is that if being beaten is like the unforgivable sin then all powersets would fall short there. Hell my main has five debt badges so I know about getting beaten.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I think he's saying it's kinda pathetic for a fully IO'd out EM/DA to get clobbered by a four man spawn of easy critters. I'd agree with that. My Stalker (fully IO'd, of course) can take out a spawn twice that size in near complete safety.
