OK, I read through the first few pages and saw nothing BUT opinion - just what the heck are we supposed to be helping you with??

Punk and grunge are really just two forms of metal. Nu wave, yeah, that's definitely not metal lol.
[/ QUOTE ]
Punk and grunge are what grew out of the remains when the hair bands killed the metal. -
Dang Fraps message! Might want to head over to WeGame.com and see what they've got.
-
Errr, I would say the "bug" there is that she should have gotten a warning/confirmation dialog box to tell her she was about to ruin her TF.

Transition effects in doorways, instead of sharpy dividing the room styles
[/ QUOTE ]
Also along those lines - it would be nice to have ramp-style doorways. Or even automatic step options (10 steps, 5 steps, or ramp) for doorways. That would help ease the transition from a high room to a low room.
Pie-in-the-sky wish: 3D bases! Mission maps like caves can be 3D, why not bases? (Because it would take a whole new editor, I would expect. But I sure would love it!) -
Wow, great stuff! Will we be able to download it from w00t studios?
-
I was just editing my base today and kept finding myself thinking "what would Otto say?"
-
Looks like the other changes Djeannie noted were not included in the official notes.
-
Song stuck in your head? You should know how to fix that. (Thank goodness, a version without 'subtitles' and those silly pictures.)
-
Mental note: request that Otto remove his boots before walking around in our base.
-
That was pretty good! The Quicktime "Q" just kinda sat there for a long time then got a question mark over it. I upgraded my DivX and that made it so the Q broke as soon as I went to the web page. But no matter, it downloads great!
Otto seems quite worried about stairs... I wonder if he has a knee problem? -
Maybe if you just put a quick note behind the link? So something like:
Tezzlah's Day In Bricktown (gameplay video) -
Hmmm.... categories.... that really would help. We've got gameplay videos, stories, music videos, music videos with heavy storytelling (Night Prayers from Vertical, for instance), and now some instructional videos. Somebody looking to watch one kind isn't going to be so happy bumping into another. Putting categories in definitely sounds good!
-
Excellent, thanks for getting Vitea's site on there!
(Do my movies really deserve to be on that list? They are more instruction instead of entertaining.) -
Somebody mentioned to me today that it only matters who is logged in on the team at the time. That's interesting - I would have thought it would count anyone who was on the team, logged in or not. Good to know!
Very good, since you can buy inspires there. -

It did NOT crash! The demo played.
[/ QUOTE ]
You're right!!! I just watched a couple of my favorite demos, one against Ruladak the Strong and another in a Freakshow converted warehouse. They both worked GREAT!! I'm quite certain I tested the Freakshow one right before I12 went to open beta testing so they must have fixed this recently!
BIG BIG thanks, NCNC! -
Yep - that was exactly the problem Mutant Mike. I was playing with Unicode as a way to get around the binary code that bases are saved in. Didn't work, but I didn't get all the unicode stuff removed completely.
Demo Edit is now ready for Issue 12, you can download it at the same old web page. Version is 3.3. Handles the new MOV command and fixes a bug with the Dynarray command. -
Woooooowwww! Some spoilers in there showing the Oracle but that was REALLY impressive!
Oh, and congrats on the walking. Looks great! Today, you are a true videographer. -
I'm trying to but something bad is happening and I can't figure out what it is! Any demo my demoedit tries to save can't play back at all. The game just says it can't load the demo file and crashes out.
The new number that appears after the MOV command is a custom weapon! Change it to some low number and you'll do your animation with some kind of weapon in hand.
Oh, I fixed the Dynarray thing, too, that somebody else pointed out. Forgot to put a space between the two words. D'oh!
Now if I can just isolate whatever is causing demos to stop loading.... grrr.... I thought this was going to be a pretty easy update! -
Oooohhhh! Raised, not razed!
I'm still completely confused by the Rularuu bit, though. Is it possible this Midnight Squad is lying to us? -
Website worked for me using IE7 and Vista. However, my firewall came up and said it was trying to do a Bad Thing that needed to be blocked. I don't know what that website is doing but I sure don't trust it.
Midnight squad banished Rularuu to the Shadow Shard?? Huh?? What about all the survivors that are still in the SS? So did the Midnighters just shove him off to the next dimension and let Rularuu trash our neighbors instead of us??
And what was that about stopping the Circle of Thorns from trashing Orenbega? I think I need to read what War Witch says about the origens of magic again. -
12 blaster powersets
13 controller
15 defender
12 scrapper
13 tank
4 Kheldian
14 brute
14 corruptor
10 dominator
10 mastermind
13 stalker
130 powersets. Each with 9 powers. Plus power pools, temp powers, inherants, and pet's powers. Many are duplicates, though, so let's divide by two. That means we're talking five or six hundred powers to show. If each power takes just five seconds to show, a video would last for half an hour!
All in all, it's easier to just make the character, play to level 6 or so, then make the character again with a costume that fits. -
Does it have anything to do with City of Heroes? (I'm wondering if this should actually be in the Comic/Culture forum.)
