Here is my recent attempt at a Christmas tree.

While it can be difficult to walk away from something you have invested a large amount of your time and energy into, I support your decision.
It is not necessary to belong to a committee to run events for other players. You just need to be willing. There are many people on our server willing to help in various capacities, be it donating funds, leading events, generating ideas, etc. We should appreciate these resources for what they are: members of the Champion community.
I have great confidence in the abilities of our (now former) PERC reps, as well as many other players on the server, to continue to make Champion a rockin' place to be. -
I've got two for you if you've got the time.
"Smooth as Silk" #61883: This is an arc I published a while ago that I'm considering going back and revising, but not sure it is worth it or not. Some constructive feedback would be welcome.
"Champion's Killer Halloween Mystery" #461097: Created for a Halloween event I hosted last month, it is a very short (but hopefully fun) whodunit.
Thanks. -
Great job leading, Force. Thanks everyone for a great raid.

There is, but it's best to bring a 50 due to the challenging nature of the trial. Also, if you could let me know what side you're looking for the badges on and your AT, it would be helpful. Your alignment will affect whether or not you can enter SG/VG bases.

I haven't forgotten about you, Sov. I've checked for you online but it seems that you haven't been around at the times we've completed them. So if you wouldn't mind posting your availability and I'll see if I can schedule one at a convenient time for both of us.

Thanks Amily for putting this together! It was a lot of fun and great to see so many successful runs completed all in one day. The teams did a fantastic job all around.
Rock on, Champion. -
Sorry to hear it didn't work out last night.
Just from reading the comments posted here, I have a few suggestions:
1. Re: Getting lost in the AV room. A good way to avoid this is to click on the portal entrance on your map prior to entering the room. This will select it such that once you're inside, the entrance will be highlighted as a waypoint. When the raid leader assigns your team to a cube, check to see where it is relative to the entrance, and this makes it much easier to go back to the right cube once things get started.
2. Re: Defeating the spawns too slowly. I can't stress this enough, it is really important to take out the cube spawns as soon as possible. There are 3 things that will potentially stop you from doing this quickly: 1) people are too slow to switch targets from the AV to the cube, 2) people don't go to the right cube which causes 3) spawns to scatter, fly around, etc. The best way to keep the Rularuu from flying around is to physically be at your cube and fighting them. Usually when I lead CoP runs I will call out in Vent and in Broadcast when the barrier is shattered and when to head back to the cubes. If you find this still isn't happening fast enough, then leaving one melee toon at the cube can help (but isn't necessary).
3. Re: Not enough damage. I want to emphasize that the team compositions I posted in my guide are meant to be a rough estimate of what you will need. I'd also like to add that when I wrote that section of the guide, the AV was still attacking through his shield and more support was needed. This bug is no longer occurring, so by all means, if you feel you need more damage, then bring on more damage. That team set up had worked for me in the past vs the Storm AV, but the idea was that people would tweak the teams as needed.
4. Re: Shield not down long enough. I've timed how long the shield is down on several occasions and always get 45s. It can seem shorter or longer depending on how things are going, but if you actually measure it, you should get 45s.
I hope that answers some questions! -
Great job everyone. Thank you for leading, Trev.

Hey guys.
One of my SG members on Champion took a video of our most recent CoP run that I have added to my guide. If you haven't done a CoP before and don't have a chance to read over the guide, I highly recommend watching the video. Sometimes seeing it in action is the best way to understand the strategy.

Best of luck tonight! -
Quote:This.Welcome to Champion Tux! There are some big SG's that openly recruit all the time, but another way of meeting people is to join some of the server global channels.
I would advise you to team with different groups/people before looking to join an SG to get a feel for what is out there. There are several great SGs, but there are also many people who may be a part of small or solo SGs. Both types of players are worth getting to know.
If you are making good use of global chat channels on Champion, you'll find that there's rarely a shortage of players that will run something with you, including speed TFs if that is your preference. Also checking out our event calendar is a good way to keep track of the server events that are hosted, which is another great way to meet new people.
Hope you enjoy yourself.
(Edit: SteelDominator beat me to it. ) -
In that case, Llewthor, please refer to this thread prior to going out for the evening... -
Added a new section to the guide: Screenshots and Videos. I have posted a video of a recent CoP run vs Ruladak that was filmed by an SG mate of mine and an older screenshot of a run vs Lanaru. Enjoy!

Got another one done on blueside. Thanks everyone that helped out and congrats to those who got the badge!

Quote:Thanks so much for filming this, Cam!I did a video tour of the RDLV haunted house for those that did not get to see it at the murder mystery event. The sound quality was hurt in the upload and it also looks a lot darker, so I recommend switching to HD and full screening it. I hope Amy's great work is not too badly marred by commentary.
Enjoy. -
Quote:Hi Elly. Welcome back to the game!Heyas,
Would love to come along time zones permiting, (in australia). I can bring the following if needed.
Invul/ERGY Tank
Kat/DA Scrapper
DM/Shield Scrapper
Looking forward to it
Elly
Hugs!
If you wouldn't mind posting your global name, I would appreciate it. I will likely be contacting you in game when a CoP is forming up. IIRC you said you were available on Saturdays at around 7pm Eastern. We have a weekly server Hami raid at 7:30pm Eastern, so what I'll probably do is try to form one up after that is done.
Also, I will need to know what side you are on or anticipate being on (blueside/redside). Only heroes and vigilantes can enter SG bases, and only rogues and villains can enter VG bases. I know SovereignSavior is looking for it on redside. Emperon, if you could let me know which side you are on, that would be great.
Thanks!
