If they can ban you from accessing the content, not just the servers, then they are illegally banning you or illegally charging for the content, or illegally not allowing private use of the content.
I highly advise you to contact a lawyer who will talk to you for free about your case before you spend any money.
Before that, I advise you to read the EULA that you agree to every time you log in. -

I don't plan on getting every power set anyway.
I have played only a few combinations from a few ATs so far. I am glad that I can spend my points on things that I will actually use. -
Usually I get very quick responses.
But I have a ticket that was created on Thurs that I haven't gotten a response to yet. Which, in my experience, is unprecedented. -

Once I learned the details of the Freedom, I thought that F2P wasn't a very accurate description.
To me it's more of an a la carte deal with an optional extended free trial.
I think the OPs frustration comes in part from the fact that Freedom is different from other F2P models he's comfortable with. Frustration more from that than from there being anything actually wrong or unfair about Freedom. -

When the Hotmail servers went down, Hotmail sent me an email telling all about which server went down, why it went down, who was going to fix it, and they even asked if I had any helpful suggestions or commentary. Then they politely waited for me to respond before they began to fix the issue. That's customer service. -

That mistake may have been fostered by the VIP beta where we logged on and found so much greyed out.
Granted that I am not as smart as the average person, but it seemed to me that I had to buy the things that I would have received as a VIP player. Now
i know that the store stuff thingy wasn't wai.
So I spent my points on things like the invention system etc.
So I am broke on beta and have about what I would've had as a VIP anyway. -
