Just to let you know, I'm not hosting this event tonight. Going to give it a proper go next week though.

I quite like the idea of just calling ourselves T.N.T, then coming up with what is stands for later - or just keep changing what it means!

As for rank names, how about naming them after the component pieces of a bomb or grenade?

We're at level 8. We went through all of Kalinda's and Burke's missions, then parked in Port Oakes with the intent of starting paper missions next week.

We had a party of eight in the end, with:

We also decided to set up an SG in the end. Membership to the SG is not required if you want to join in the Traps team, and you don't have to be on the team to be in the SG either.

As for SG names, I still prefer "Bomb Squad".

Also, "Doooooooooooooom" though joke titles are likely to annoy after a while.

Something that abbreviates to "T.N.T" would be cool too, though "The Naked Trappers" met with some resistance

We also need to consider the five rank names too.

Yeah, great work tonight. Fast levelling and a fun crowd.

Next week we'll have paper missions, our first Mayhem, level 10 guaranteed and we can set up an SG. Can't wait

Speaking of which, we should probably decide on a name for our SG by next week.

I don't play much PvP, but I currently have a level 30 Grav/Ice Dom and I can say it's a very nasty combo indeed.

Tomorrow's the debut night! We'll all meet next to Kalinda, for the benefit of those who've not yet named their toons. I'll also put out a couple of shouts in Broadcast befroe we begin to make sure we've collected everybody who can make it.

The plan I think, will be to run through a few missions from Kalinda and/or Burke, just to level 5. I'd recommend auto-completing collaberative missions where possible, as in a large team we're likely to outlevel them fast.

If we hit level 5 tomorrow, we'll be able to go to Port Oakes and start paper missions.

As for my toon, Mea Culpa, she's an ex-child genius turned bad, with a compulsion for tinkering with hi-tech equipement and for setting up booby-traps and explosives. No bio yet, but that's the basic idea behind her.

I realise the cape/aura thing, but peeps have already rolled their toons so there's little point in enforcing it now.

For what it's worth, I chose Kalinda.

A Trapper global channel is a nice idea! I've not set up a channel before but shall look into how to do it.

Hmm... Not wanting to show you up Kryten, but doesn't Sanus mean "sound" as in "free of damage/in good condition"?

Of course I'm just going on internet skills, I certainly won't contest you if you know your Latin well. And you probably do know it better than I do. And if there is a different word for the sonic meaning of sound, I haven't found it. I'm just concerned for you is all.

After all, it's best to make sure these things are right before the toon earns a lot of experience. There's nothing like a lvl 50 with a typo!

The game he was playing was Shadowrun, it's a game with elves and dwarves and trolls in a futuristic cyberpunk setting.

They probably have lingerie in the future too.

Good question.

Personally I'd rather not, for a number of reasons. First, it might discourage new members from joining the team. Second, the SG would not likely gain Prestige at a good rate so we're not likely to be able to afford a useful base at the end of the day. Plus I'm sure most of us each have another larger SG in which our new alts' contributions would mean a little more. Our team would also have access to and be able to make use of said larger bases if necessary...

Level tracking won't be too difficult. Since we'll all be playing together at the same time, we should all be of similar level. If someone misses a few sessions then they only need ask in this thread to find out how much xp they need to catch up.

Thanks Moondog. It was half and half, but as people have already rolled up toons on Union I guess we'll go with that. Not that I'm not baised too

But look on the bright side! Any important Invention salavge you pick up on Union you can always sell to your toons on Defiant with the Black Market

Also we have a couple of reserves for the later game in 1damz (lvl 19 Ice/Traps) and BigMike (lvl 19 Bots/Traps) on Union.

We've definitely got enough to start for now. If more folks are interested in joining, speak up and we'll try and split teams to accomodate you if necessary.

It's looking like we'll be teaming from 7pm on Mondays. For the folks who've already signed up, could you do a couple of things for me:

1. If you really can't make it on Mondays, but can do Fridays, speak up because we can still sort it.

2. Are you cool with starting as soon as next week?

3. Give the name of your new toon, if you know what it is yet. Also tell us a little about them, if you want to
